She was very helpful and started the treatment with a full explanation of the treatment. After I got myself ready, she proceeded to work on my body. It was a very nice, relaxing, sleepy experience. Service was friendly and courteous. I was also got a scalp massage with Fijian oil which sounded so divine! And my feet and hands were taken care of too! Thank you Molly!

I didn't know there was more than one location until I showed up and wasn't in the system. After multiple call attempts and a voicemail I got through to someone and said I'm at another Spavia, I can get there in 20 minutes or can I reschedule? I was told they have to take the credits I booked with and cannot reschedule, I'd have to pay full again. A pretty frustrating experience for an honest mistake.

I was a regular here before Covid, and was happy to see that they were still open afterwards. I've had 2 or 3 different massage therapists there over the years, but Emily is the primary (now maybe the only) person I've seen. She's got a great technique of using her knees on your back that I've never seen anywhere else - it's very good for an aching back., and she gives a great overall massage with some Swedish and stretching. The building is a little old, but maintained and clean. The rooms are clean and nice - they use a light disposable sheet with face holes cut into them on the tables. The place has always seemed clean and hygienic. I think their credit card machine isn't working now, and the phone number listed on Apple Maps doesn't seem to work (rings with no voicemail), but she has returned my call from a different number before. Since it's only Emily there most of the time, there have been times that she answers the phone during a massage. She makes these very brief and I never felt like the massage was really impacted. If you are in the DTC area looking for a massage, consider Zen, but call first to schedule.

I was looking for a new masseuse after one I was seeing moved on. I was looking for someone good at walking on my back but not someone too big. :) Emily didn't walk on my back but she did use her knees. Sounds painful but it felt very good and my back is much happier this afternoon. Only downside which cost one star is the A/C kept kicking on and it was making the room cold. She turned it down when I asked and I should have asked sooner before getting cold. I'll return again in the future. Its hard to find a masseuse which is able to find the sore spots.

The masseuse never said a word in 75 minutes other than to respond to a few points of pain with the hot stones and some tender spots. I saw my masseuse in Dallas every week and over the years she became a friend and confidant in addition to someone who knew more about body mechanics than most doctors; guess I'm not going to duplicate that. The massage was Ok although I was disappointed to see a whole-body massage that did not include the feet. As mentioned, the hot stones are always nice if they can get the temperature right, she did not. Best I can say is it is very inexpensive and it is clean.

They are friendly, responsive and I can always get in on last minute notice. Reading the bad reviews makes me so sad because they work so hard and I have found each and every one of them so friendly and good at what they do. Yes, this isn't a fancy spa- it's pretty simple, bare bones and if you're looking for the spa experience at spa prices, go to Woodhouse (where you'll probably overpay for a mediocre massage)- but if you want a consistently good, affordable massage, this is your place!
