The Sugar Loaf Bakery offers a range of pastries, paninis, snacks, coffee and tea to keep you company on your intercity journey from Heuston station (unless of course you're one of those people who likes hanging out at railway stations 'just because'.)
The store is pretty no-nonsense, and your orders will be barked at you when ready, so make sure you know what you want when you get to the counter and that you're ready and waiting when your order is called.
If you are tossing up between the sugar loaf bakery and Cafe to Go across the way, don't get your knickers in a knot over your decision - they're run by the same bunch, so have pretty much identical products. Cafe to Go has better pre-packed sandwiches, a-la the UK chain Pret-a-Manger, while the Sugar Loaf Bakery does more of the made to order variety. read more
