The Style Lounge is my go-to place for hair and eyelash extensions. The staff is great. Steven, the owner, is always friendly. The vibe is friendly and laid back. Emily makes you feel right at home. I can always count on her to make my hair perfection every time. I get color faithfully and have yet to be disappointed. I have been having Emily do my eyelash extensions for a long time. I wouldn't be caught without them now. The back room we where her lash room is, is so comfortable and clean. She has a pillow to put behind my legs and a throw blanket when I feel chilly. It is so relaxing i could sleep through my appointment. Just what you need after a busy day at work. I leave feeling beautiful every time. While you are in the shampoo bowl, I have her wax my eyebrows. No more plucking! I recommend scheduling out your appointments for the year if possible. Her schedule fills up fast. I want to know I have the date and time I want, especially during the holidays. Easy access and ample parking. Kind of off the beaten path, bu it's worth it! The salon is spacious and not cramped. The check out desk is easily accessible and clean. The whole payment process is quick and easy. Check them out for all your beauty needs. This place is in the middle of nowhere, so unless you find it via Yelp, a friend or FB, you probably will never know it's here.- Yelp to the rescue! Steven is a very professional hair designer who knows the latest styles and is a color master. I took my daughter here- and she had some crazy long and very thick curly hair. She wanted a lot chopped off and to have it lightened. He did all of this in about 2 hours. He made here look absolutely stunning. Call ahead, as he is very busy and it takes a bit to get back to you. The salon is very clean and beautiful and modern. They offer refreshments as well as cookies :) I about died of happiness when I got the bill. He is very reasonable and we will definitely come back for my other daughter's hair style. Don't think twice about finding this place. It's worth the hunt. read more

I won't let anybody else touch my hair. Emily gets it right every time. I just show her a picture and she recreates it perfectly! My hair always feels so healthy after. Since moving to northern Michigan I have been avoiding getting my hair cut or styled... Most the places up here cater more so to men or tend to air on the side of outdated for lack of better words "old lady salons" There is nothing wrong with old ladies LOL but hopefully you understand what I'm saying... Also just like every other northern Michigan business the hours of operation are all over the place and unreliable... Needless to say I've been on the search for a place to get my hair done for over a year... I didn't want to have to drive way out of my way for something that I only do annually... And I don't want to spend too much money for something basic... I always just get my hair trimmed and layered and then once in a while I get highlights and low lights done. For me there have to be a good balance of quality, price, and comfort. I want to enjoy the small talk because it's going to happen. I found this place and I truly know this is my place now. The woman that cut my hair was so sweet and down to earth... She also cut my mothers hair... She was efficient and fast and really easy to talk to you... we both got our hair trimmed and layered. I also got a face frame and a wash...She actually recognized that my moms hair took a bit less time and chose to surprise us with a discount for her. The salon is modern and clean. All the staff is SO friendly and we got complimentary coffee while we waited. I made the appointment over the phone that morning and we were early and they got us in right on time.
