George has been cutting hair for a long time and most would like to wrap him up and take him home. He has been the lead on the state of Michigan's office that licenses barbers too. Not just a hair cutter. New to the area 20 years ago I had to search for a barber. The closest worked only with clippers and some sizzors. No clean up with the straight razor around your ears or neck. George is a master with the straight razor. I came from Minneapolis and $45 haircuts. I think George is up to $12. After my girlfriend and I got our tattoo's; her daughter was getting her's. My girlfriend went and checked on the progress of her daughter's. When I told her why I was there, her next question was whether I had an appointment. I said no that I just wanted to get a sense of when she be able to do the tattoo and perhaps schedule an appointment. She seemed irritated I even came in. From that point on it just go worse. I'll spare all the details, but she was extremely rude and condescending. When I asked about a ballpark price, that was another fiasco. She gave me a pretty large window of what it might be when other artists I've spoke with were able to give me fairly specific estimates. I've heard her work is mediocre, but the tattoo is really simple and I figured because if it's simplicity, if I could save a few bucks, that would be a good decision. But everything about my short visit was a huge disappointment. I will never ever get a tattoo or anything else from this person. I cannot believe how rude she was.
