We called Davey Tree Expert and shortly after George, one of their arborists, stopped by. We discussed what needed to be done and he sent an estimate soon after. We noticed that the leaves turned brown prematurely during the summer. George told us both trees needed fertilizing. He pointed out to us, which branches need attention, needed to be trimmed or cut off. He also pointed out a lot of dead wood that needed to be removed. Fertilization was done in October and they recommend you repeat it each year. The trimming was planned for February or March, they give you 10% off if they can do it during the winter months. The first date got cancelled because the job they were at, took more tome than planned. Yesterday, March 3rd, George called and said they had an opening and can they come over now. Sure. A crew of 4 with 3 big trucks showed up shortly. Our driveway was too narrow for the cherry picker, so 2 guys climbed the trees to do all the work. The 2 others handed them their tools, cleaned up all the falling branches and mulched them immediately. It was a fast operation, an hour and a half at most. They cleaned up the driveway before they left. If you need tree maintenance done, Davey is the company to go to.

The Davey arborist came over to discuss what we had to have done. He told us we needed to have our trees fertilized. Lack of fertilizer was the reason the leaves were turning prematurely brown each year, not because of the change in season. He also described which branches specifically had to be trimmed or cut off entirely. The Davey team came in October to fertilize our trees. They would return sometime in the winter months to do the trimming. Today, March 3, 2021, a team of four men came with their cherry picker. Unfortunately it seemed too close to the houses on either side of the driveway to get the cherry-picker up our driveway and so instead two men climbed the trees and sawed and cut branches; the other two men picked up the branches and sent them through the machinery to turn them into mulch. The entire job took approximately an hour and 1/2. The men used their blower to clean up the tree "crumbs" in the driveway. It was a very efficient operation, very neat and tidy.

Save your money, this company is the WORST!!! They show up when to get their money, but refuse to…read morereturn calls. Don't take off work to wait for them to show up, because Tony is a scam artist. He won't show or call, especially if you have a complaint. And if you pay cash, make sure to get a clear receipt, and SAVE it! Because they'll call months later (likely hoping you tossed it) and say you owe a balance. They'll start the work immediately so that you can't back out, then a two day job will turn into a 4 month job. Just go read the complaints on BBB. All the same. Can i give negative stars?

After I finally got them out to take my tree down about 1.5 years ago, I still had to call them to fix the 24 18" by 18" pavers their truck drove over and crushed. You would think they would have said something to me 1st, but no. This took another set of back and forth phone calls and after they fixed the pavers they still were not as straight and even as before (not even close). So they had to do it again. The 2nd time was better, but not as good as original. Of course this time also took many more phone calls. Now 1 1/2 -2 years later I couldn't understand why grass was not growing where the tree was. They only grinded the tree stump down about 1-2' below the surface and covered it up with dirt. I had to dig it up this year to find they did not grind the normal 8-10" to properly grow grass. I finally got them out here 2 months ago and they said I was right, we will be back to grind some more. I am back to trying to reach them again. I did get to talk to one women who stated that they were waiting on the utility company to come out and verify their were no lines underground. But they would have checked that before they cut down the tree the 1st time. Pain in the ass company. I never write reviews, but I didn't want anyone else to go thru this. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Jack D.

Our yard was significantly overgrown and the work was herculean. It was a hot day and yet Larry, another man and woman, worked efficiently and deligently. It's as if a light went on in the back yard, it's now so bright. I could not be happier and would highly recommend them. If i could give them 10 stars, I would. And they were all considerate and professional. Veronica p.s. clean up was excellent too

Larry told us they would replace the tree when they returned to trim some branches in our back yard a couple weeks later. Larry then texted me a couple weeks later to say he would not be coming back to trim the trees in the backyard, but would still replace the tree within the next week. He claims this trim request was after they had taken the tree down, but we have emails that prove otherwise. We were quoted before he even came out to take the tree down. He then blocked my phone number and has still not replaced the tree. All of my iPhone texts turned to green, they were blue in previous conversations, and my calls went right to voicemail when I tried to call the day following him informing he would not be coming back out but would replace the tree and when I called a week later for an update, as well as the week after that. A few weeks ago, I even tried to reach out through their website, with the information on the tree that was mangled, and he still has yet to respond. They also left a 4' branch stuck in our yard, sticking 3" out of the ground from when they fell our tree, and didn't even bother to try and remove it or let me know. Pretty hard to miss. I had to dig it out of the ground myself. I tried to text him pictures, but they went undelivered as he blocked my number. He then tries to dismiss that he blocked my number and claims that he responds to all messages, however I have screenshots of the texts and a call log on my phone that prove otherwise; not to mention the email that went unanswered through his website. They are absolutely unprofessional and an embarrassment of a company.

Julie and the other ladies are always so helpful. My daughter-in-law stopped there on Sunday and picked up two pumpkins and a houseplant. The girl who checked us out made sure to educate her the plant (it's of the carnivorous variety, which is new to her, so we really appreciated the info on caring for the plant). Tuesday, she was redeeming her receipt for cash on the Fetch app and noticed she was charged for a Mum we didnt buy. She called and spoke with Meg (I believe) and Meg was great! She said there are times when they use the register for a price check and forget to cancel it out. She apologized a few times and was able to credit her credit card right back, no questions asked. She even sent a confirmation for the reimbursement. Amazing customer service, we're happy to be regular customers!
