Good was good! Service was just ok- it was a busy Saturday night though! Drinks were good and so many different options to choose from! Tuna tartare was fresh and the wasabi cream was very fun!

02/28/2026 Our friends love Dirty Martinis, so we treated them to a stop at the Stuffed Olive after events downtown. The place was packed tonight, so we were only able to secure a table with our friends for about an hour before we had to clear out for another reservation. We took advantage of a couple of martinis as well as the Bruschetta (see picture) - which was absolutely delicious!

Late posting, but so fun & festive! Loved their drink choices and tasted so yummy! Fun before an event we had downtown. Their apps are great too.

Their breakfast was incredible which came as no surprise because we LOVE their dinner. I'm so glad they are finally open for brunch. Perfect to sit on the patio and get a good look at the local farmers market! Service is always pretty good and gets us what we need and accommodating! I am a weirdo when it comes to fruit and they were able to just give me a bowl of strawberries instead of mixed. They could've totally said no but I'm so glad they didn't. Their breakfast egg rolls are the best, thin and crispy but full of flavor with their queso! Which was not spicy and also full of flavor. Their breakfast burrito is FULL of meat, eggs, potatoes and enough to share honestly! Dip that in the queso and wow. Amazing. Will definitely be back for brunch many times before summer is over. Now if they do a bottomless mimosa option, whewwww would be my #1 spot!

SO and I ordered appetizers to share, and a fancy cocktail . Everything was excellent. I had a martini made with just Deep Eddy Lemon and a drop of Limoncello. Yum . We had the stuffed mushrooms, Spanish Shrimp, Risotto Croquettes and Calamari. It was all good. Will definitely return if we come back this way. Edit: Still in Des Moines for the Senior Games. It's Monday. We can back to the stuffed Olive and found that Monday is BOGO on martinis. The list is extensive and there are no exclusions. This time we ordered Zucchini Fritters with Tzatziki and another fun evening sitting at the bar, watching the very busy bartenders. Don't miss this place if you are in town!!

Unfortunately not their best night. Typically Friday evening but both the service and timing of meal component were way off to a ridiculous level given the reputation of this spot. Appetizer bruschetta, actually came out after the the entree's had almost been finished. One of the meals was delivered a full 15 minutes after all of the others. Let's just say this was not a birthday dinner to remember. We will come back and try it again on a weeknight in a few months to see if it gets better but for now I would not be giving them a recommendation to my friends. Bummer because I had such high hopes. Maybe next time. Sometimes places just have an off night and that happens everywhere. Also win the reservation was made they were told it was a birthday dinner and not so much as event the words Happy Birthday were used by the staff. That is simple free service 101 type stuff and they even missed on that.

I try to always say something positive no matter the experience, so huge venue in comparison to the Omaha location. Seating both inside and out. But thats all the positive about this place I can say. I gave it a one star because I had to. Usually we go to the one located in Omaha, but we happened to be in Des Moines for that weekend. Staff was not rude, but definitely not friendly. Just dried. You could tell they were not happy to be working, if that makes sense. PLEASE noticed when ANY bartender is making your cocktail! Instead of using the strainers, as they should, but instead they ONE- use the glass they have set on top of the dirty bar, to start the mix, TWO- then the proceed to shake the drink, and THREE- proceed to pour it out using the same glass as a strainer and guess what they are using to hold the glass in place while they pour your drink into the glass!?? THEIR FINGERS!! Not only is this DISGUSTING, but why hasn't a health code violation been called on this!!? I will most definitely will not be going back. I prefer my martinis without a side of fingers!!

The martinis are good but pricey, they do have specials on some nights. I ordered the brisket sandwich which included Cole slaw on the sandwich. The brisket wasn't terribly flavorful and the Cole slaw was on the bottom bun, under the meat, causing the bun to be soggy. Tip: this one of the establishments that charges a fee for using a credit card. They will remove it if you ask and pay with cash.

Stopped by on a Monday to check out the new location on a sunny day & was surprised to find they have switched to mainly reservations only (unless it was just the day). The new design is a neat, upscale feel with some spunk. We sat on the patio area, but had a time-frame. Greated by our waitress right away with waters. Its always nice when you dont have to order one! The Martinis are always spectacular (they did shrink the menu) & the appetizers always become my meal. Mini Sliders & Tuna were the choices this time. Great potions, flavor & price. Can't go wrong with anything in my opinion.

This place is sexy. It it dimly lit. And it has a modern vibe. We went for BOGO Martini Night and then we also had several apps...Buffalo sliders, spin artichoke dip, grilled cheese and tomato soup, cheese burger sliders, risotto croquets. Martinis, key lime, sex on the beach, white chocolate raspberry and Almond Joy. Everything was so delicious . Service was super prompt and fast. The food was exceptionally hot and the drinks were so so good! I have been here several times and it is always so good. The only thing that kinda sucks is that you only a period of time to sit and they ask you to leave because they have reservations... totally understand but sometimes you want to chat.

Excellent drinks! Food was wonderful and we had a lovely table outside. Took a star off because both rounds of drinks sat at the bar for 20 min and we had to ask for them...they were busy! Get the olive tray sampler. Quinoa bowl was amazing as was the crème brûlée.

This resistant has so much potential. The vibe is chill, the decor is fun and interesting, and the live music on a Wednesday night was entertaining (but too loud, I couldn't talk to my guest). Unfortunately, the waiter was fairly new and couldn't get even the basics right. He forgot to place my guest's entree and never brought salt and pepper. The stuffed Olive tasted like a mouthful of salt, the presentation was sad, and the jalapeños had zero kick. The Cajun salmon was good and I appreciated the cauliflower purée. The Brussels sprouts were acceptable. They have an administrative surcharge they surprise you with, which can't be removed. I would come back for drinks, the bar scene looked fun and the live music was pretty great.

Excellent start. She got the smoked margarita which was really cool and smoky. Don Julio Blanco, lime, Cointreau, Agave, and Apple-Wood Smole. Very decadent. After the show we got: The Polar Express O with Diplomatico Rum, Sweetened Condensed Milk, coffee topped with cold foam, and grated chocolate. Very boozy and strong. Didn't look very good in the glass, but tasted ok. Very strong. She choose the Cold Brew Martini and it was excellent with Ketel One Vodka, Averna Amaro, Madagascar Vanilla Bean Simple Syrup, and House Cold Brew Coffee. The service was great. Will be back for more drinks.

When I walked in I loved how quiet and cozy the spot was so that set the dining expectation. I was attended to by Travis who is awesome and embodies hospitality and service (thank you Travis!) and decided to dive in for the Cajun Alfredo entree. I have been to New Orleans so many times and tried different variants of Cajun Alfredo pasta and I will say that this is one of the BEST I have had outside New Orleans. The pasta was perfectly cooked, flavored and balanced plus the portion was great. Travis was also very kind to knock out the sausage as I don't eat pork and substituted it with some chicken. I look forward to returning now that I have a spot to come back to!

The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. They were a little busy, so service wasn't always the fastest, but everyone was very friendly. My mom ordered the meatballs and the corn soup. Unfortunately, both dishes were much spicier than she expected, and she wasn't able to eat much of either. The staff was so understanding and kindly removed them from our bill, which we really appreciated. She then ordered the fig and pear bruschetta, and she really enjoyed the combination of the fruit, cheese, and bread. The only thing that surprised us was the onion bread--it had a strong fried onion flavor, almost like onion rings, which wasn't really our favorite. I ordered the fettuccine. The pasta was cooked al dente, but the flavor was very underwhelming. It was silky and creamy in texture, but honestly, it didn't taste like much. It mostly tasted like parsley and almost watery, and some of the noodles were stuck together. I added Parmesan hoping it would help, but I was still searching for flavor the entire meal and never really found it. The texture was nice, but I wouldn't order this dish again. The food came out in about 15 minutes, which was pretty quick. Overall, while the restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and the staff provided excellent service, the food just wasn't for me. I also noticed that several dishes leaned on the spicy side, so if you're sensitive to spice, I'd recommend asking if they can make it milder or choosing something else. Personally, I don't think I'd come back, but I truly appreciated how kind and accommodating the staff was throughout our visit.
