The parking lot is consistently busy, so finding a spot can be a hit or miss. Ambiance/Environment: The studio is located inside the AR Gallery. Once you enter the AR Gallery, you'll see the studio on your right. They have an extremely small space with two rooms. One room features white walls, and the other room features colored backgrounds. There's many props from headbands and hats to chairs and stools and more! Some props can use a cleaning, but you can't really see it in the photos. Service: I decided to do a walk-in, so I didn't book an appointment or prepay online. They only take walk-ins starting at 11:30. They're not busy on weekdays but busier during the weekends. I completely forgot his name, but the worker that checked me in was nice, efficient, and knowledgable about the offerings. They provide a large screen with gridlines, lighting, and a small remote. They'll give you a timer, so you'll know exactly how much time you have left during your session. Studio Session & Photos: I chose the 5 minute session with the colored background. You'd choose two colors out of five options. Since I chose the colored walls, let the worker know when you're ready to switch colors. They'll pause the timer, switch the background, and continue the timer. The small remote is easy to hide in the photos. The lighting is perfect, and the photos came out amazing! Pricing: All details and prices are on their website. It's easy to book an appointment online. Since my birthday was three days away, the worker gave me a 10% discount. They also offer other discounts. All details are listed on their website. Highly recommend this studio!

Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . This year was no different. Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. But we didn't want to make it too easy for Michelle, so we threw in another variable. After a recent canine cancer scare, and recently learning from Google that all dogs, however loyal and cute, unfortunately have an inescapable life, span, I somehow convinced my beautiful but camera shy wife that this is the year we do a family photo with our dog. Some more backstory, if you read this far, our Yorkie, Libby, loves us but HATES the rest of the world. She spent the entire hour photoshoot in perpetual scowl and Volume 11 non stop bark. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. After my dad handed me the leveler and I put away the hammer, and I looked up....and yeah....I had that "Dad" look

Kathleen's assistant Adriana was very helpful in getting us into the studio within a couple of days from the time I contacted them. Her packages and pricing are very fair compared to other studios I had contacted. We decided to do the "Classic" package which allows for both newborn photos and family photos. The booking experience was very straightforward. She provides clear instructions for the process on the photography day. The whole experience on the day of the photos went very smoothly and she was very good at handling baby and making sure he was asleep for the pictures. She also took advantage of his awake moments and captured some really cute awake photos as well. She has a separate room for the newborn photos and a separate room for family photos which I appreciated so that the newborn room always stays clean (she doesn't allow shoes there either) and baby has a quiet/calm space for the photos. Overall great experience with Kathleen!

Add the awkwardness of being in front of a camera I'm not controlling in selfie mode. Enter the ladies of Bloomin studio! A TRULY ALL INCLUSIVE EXPERIENCE- makeup, hair, wardrobe, set design, modeling coach! I've never found anything like it! My experience was nothing short of wonderful and most importantly COMFORTABLE. I got a K-style headshot similar to k-pop idol photo cards and a professional headshot because I hadn't taken a proper headshot (at least ones I liked) in at least 3-4 years! I opted to have my hair and makeup done so I could just show up stress free. Ceci wasn't just on time, she was early for my glam. I filled out a mini color analysis and vibe quiz to narrow down the vision. I also wanted to try something very girly and soft which is honestly polar opposite of my usual. I just wanted to try something different for my "fun" headshot. Ceci took her time with hair and makeup, was very detailed, and when I TELL YOU THE FOUNDATION MATCH WAS IMPECCABLE! The base was flawless and every imperfection was concealed. I looked like a filter. She also picked out 3 tops for me to choose from, yes wardrobe styling was included too! I'm an Asian midsize girl, so..fat by Asian standards and I brought tops from home worried I wouldn't fit into anything they had. I was wrong. They absolutely had clothes that fit me as a US large. God bless them! That made me feel so much less insecure. Novia my photographer took care of the set, lighting, and posing which made things so much easier. No guessing what to do. She gave clear instructions on where to look, how to pose, the softness of the expression, I didn't have to overthink a damn thing. They touch up my hair and moved it around as needed. She was very patient with me because I was still a little stiff and tense at the start and really loosened up my expressions and posing towards the second half. I didn't know what to choose for my professional head shot so I let Novia decide. Man she knows what really makes you shine! I really thought I was a warm toned Autumn palette girly but when I saw myself in a cool toned photo, I was wowed! Grey and black, never would've picked that for myself. Even the pink themed girly shoot utilized a cool toned pink and the makeup used neutral-cool tones and I was surprised at how it came out! I definitely took some of those tips home with me and changed a couple of my makeup and outfit choices! No doubt I'll be back. I wanna do a birthday shoot and redo my wedding photos next! Their more elaborate themed shoots are next on my list! They have a membership that is so insanely well priced for what it includes, if you're a content creator needing photos from fantasy to editorial they got you! Some packages even include BTS footage for your vlog!! I can't recommend Bloomin Studio enough! Thank you ladies for making me feel beautiful.
