The dryers are $0.25 per 8 minutes and dry pretty fast. There is a TV and folding stations for when you wait or finish loads. The only reason I gave it 3/5 stars was based on cleanliness. I used to frequent Colonial Laundry for about 4 years before I got my own washer and dryer…read more The building looks pretty old on the inside, but it was always clean. I always went pretty late in the evening, 10PM or later and there was hardly ever more than one other person there doing laundry besides me. There are plenty of washers, dryers and folding tables to accommodate everyone even at the busiest of times. They have small single load boxes of detergent and fabric softener for sale as well as a vending machine up front. Free Wifi and open 24 hours. There is always someone working there so if you have any technical difficulties they will be addressed right away. I believe there is drop off service as well. But one of the biggest perks is that you are literally a 2 minute walk from the Mr. Twister, and lets face it... Ice cream is literally about the only thing in the world that can make doing laundry better. Overall you can't go wrong with this place. It's hard for me not to give them 5 stars but at the end of the day the building is a bit dated and the laundry doesn't fold itself.

Chemwise truly has a one-of-a-kind recycling effort. My company's Green Team held a nail polish…read morerecycling collection and used Chemwise who will separate the chemicals in the polish, refine them and resell back to manufacturing companies. I think they are doing a great thing! The reason I gave 4 stars is that I think the process is not as efficient as I think it may be one day. For a fee, you receive a box, bucket and prepaid postage. Each polish needs to be wrapped in paper so that about 50 to 55 items can be grouped in one kit. It was definitely a learn-as-you-go experience. Communication was very good and as I had questions, they were answered (thanks, Ted). Our team thought it was worth the effort as an environmentally educational experience for our workplace.

Nice little bookstore/newsstand…read more We stumbled on it while walking around downtown, during a visit to Heidelberg to see Sweetie's brother. Looked at a plaque across the street, and went back to the car. Passing this, looked at displays in the windows, not even noticing at first that it was open. Once we realized it was, we went right in, of course. It's mostly magazines, with a pretty good variety. We ended up getting a few. There are some books, including local ones. Also some collectibles in back. The owner was friendly but quiet. I'd be happy to have this store near my college, or frankly, in Columbus. Not fancy at all, but plenty of interesting stuff to read.
