Worked with me to get the menu and budget that I wanted just right. The service was prompt, efficient, on time - overall excellent, and the food was outstanding. I wanted lots of "small bites" rather than a standard dinner buffet, and they came up with some great selections - including passed h'orderves. We also used them for bar-tending services and the guys were great and friendly. All in all this was a great choice and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area. Their address lists Dallas but they have a facility in Addison so that works out well.

** update: Just got an email from Dallas consumer compliance. "Today I did compliant inspection at…read morePreston Plaza at Your Service Catering. During my inspection I observed cross contamination. Citation was issued."** Even after reading several bad reviews, I decided to give AYS a try(bad choice). Main point of contact is Autumn (she does not have anything to do with the execution of the dishes nor the service of the caterers at your event). Autumn was relatively easy to deal with while I changed my mind several times about what to serve at the wedding. This trait stopped after they were fully paid. AYS did not contribute much when I asked for an Asian Fusion menu. My planner suggested several items and AYS had to consult a third party for research. The result was not executed very well. The items served at the wedding was not the same as what was served during tastings (or even the final menu drafted by AYS) and there was no consistency. Guests with special dietary restrictions were not given the correct plate. Gluten-free mother & child were sitting at the same table. Mother received gluten free plate, but child did not. The mother had the server return it to the kitchen & the same plate was brought out again. Guests from both sides of the room & different tables stated that they never got any water refills after the pre-set cup. Guests also said that the asian custard/fruit/wedding cake was not served evenly (some stated they got no custard/no fruit/wedding cake and some stated they only got a sliver of wedding cake)-I went home with the ENTIRE BOTTOM TIER OF WEDDING CAKE. How is that possible? After the wedding was over, I emailed AYS. I did NOT ask for a refund but simply an explanation. I received a forwarded email from John (owner of AYS) that stated that he was there for the plating of the salad & entree and that AYS did nothing wrong. He stated that everything was gluten-free and the cause of confusion was due to table # switching. If AYS did nothing wrong, why did multiple guests say they had no water? If the plates were all gluten free, why was there a discrepancy between mother & child's plates? Why did guests complain of discrepancy in dessert plates? If nothing was wrong, why was there a bartender taking pictures in my photobooth? Why were my guests not ID'd for alcohol? Throughout the process, they dealt with my planner. However, with these issues, they refuse to speak with my planner and stated that they would only speak with me about the matter. After the first initial email with the excuses, I have not received any subsequent emails clarifying my questions. Instead, they would rather spend their energy refuting bad reviews rather than providing better-quality service.

Since we had just gotten our kitchen remodeled, I thought it would be a great birthday idea to christen it with the perfect meal. Enter.. Chef Aundre of Heavenly Catering. I wanted someone who would be: 1 -fun 2 -interactive 3 -prepare a good meal 4 -understood my vision, and 5 -could work with young kids (since this would be a family affair). Chef Aundre hit on ALL of those. I reached out to him and 3 other in-home chefs through Yelp after reading their reviews. Chef Aundre was the only one that seemed to really get what I was trying to do. He had me complete a brief survey and then proposed a menu that was different from our usual, but still simple enough that we could make it any day. He arrived promptly and well-prepared. He brought all of the ingredients and made sure they were quality, natural and organic. He walked us through our menu and coached us along the way - showing us cutting techniques, cooking techniques and even plate presentation tips and tricks. At the end of the meal he engaged our 3 littles (ages 3, 6 and 8) to cook dessert. I was so impressed with how well he managed them and engaged with them. They made the perfect dessert with no spills or breaking anything! I will definitely use his services again and highly recommend him for your catering or in-home cooking needs.

I am the Office and Marketing Manager for a local architecture firm; as we approached the 25th…read moreanniversary of the firm being in business, I was tasked with planning the party. We were expecting about 150 people in attendance, and the event was only for two hours. We wanted food that would be easy to manage, as we mostly had just standing tables. After tasting a couple of catering options in the "Near Southside" area of Fort Worth where our headquarters is located, I was less than impressed. With Fort Worth's history of being a "good ole' boys town", the idea that we "keep things local" is much advertised, which is the feedback I received, but when the local caterers were not performing, I had to look somewhere else. I found Jared on a community rating site for various services (that of which should not be named) and was instantly impressed. Jared was quick to respond, and answered all of my questions. Since he wasn't local, the only issue we had was figuring out how to taste his cooking. Jared had another event going on at a local university the next week, and decided to drop by with a small sample. This sample was a simple chicken, mashed potatoes, and asparagus platter- nothing of which we would be wanting for our party- but I was intrigued. I cut up the sample and distributed it to my party committee and some of our principals, and we loved it! The food was hot, and the mashed potatoes tasted like Jared had been in the kitchen for hours mashing them by hand. The asparagus was perfectly cooked, as was the chicken. I was sold! We put a down payment on the date and anxiously waited. On May 11th, the day of our event, Jared showed up early to make sure that we were prepared, then he began to set up his spread. We had wanted a variety of cheeses, crackers, fruits, and some light entrees, so Jared came up with a marble slab display (very earthy and beautiful) and he placed two of the entrees in small martini glasses (shrimp and grits, artichoke dip...yum!) which were perfect for walking around and conversing with. My photo does not do this spread justice, but I have submitted it :) After the event, Jared and his bartender cleaned their area and even helped us pack away any extras that were left over. This catering service is truly "full service". We are elated to have found JaredPierre Private Chef & Catering to cater the celebration of our 25th Anniversary and we plan on using him in the future. In addition to his talents, I found him to be a wonderful individual, and we loved having his motivational energy at our event.

However I was super impressed with the food catered by Culinary Art Catering at the bar mitzvah we attended last night at the Nuvo Room. The passed apps were great and plentiful. I think my favorite were these little toast crackers with filet mignon on top. As for dinner there were many different stations. I got full pretty fast, but tried a little of everything. The sushi was my favorite and probably the most popular station. They also had a noodle stir fry (my kids loved the coconut shrimp), salad station, taco station (so good), caving station (skipped this) and gnocchi bar (really tasty). The kids had their own food (pizza, sandwiches), but kept coming over to the adult side since our food was so delicious. Dessert was an ice cream bar (always a hit) + some mini desserts that were passed for the desserts (ex lemon cake). The staff were attentive and friendly, although may not be the typical staff for this caterer because when I asked who the caterer was they couldn't tell me. The Nuvo Room is a very cool space. I know raw spaces can be difficult sometimes because you have to bring everything in, but this caterer made it look easy.

First off the only reason I chose this caterer was because they were the only ones who responded…read moreout of the three caterers I HAD to choose from. They don't communicate with each other so all three of their "sales team" members will communicate with you. They couldn't find my first deposit so I had to dispute with my bank and right after they apparently found it. Then went back to pay the deposit again, and ended up paying the whole bill right off the bat, no option to change it to just the deposit. They didn't communicate with me at the three week mark before the wedding to finalize the head count so I had the option to cut my head count to 75 from 90 and the difference would be gratuity. So each of the bartenders got around $105 each for around 4 hours... and the audacity to have a tip jar!!!! Unbelievable. Never got to have the margaritas, French 75, or any beer or wine that I paid for. Just had 3 glasses of champagne. You'd think they'd have already set up drinks for the bride and groom at their table but nope! Also was told we would be able to keep the margaritas once the bartenders left. NOPE! EVERYTHING WAS TOSSED! I am so unbelievably upset with this company. Beware of being completely stressed out and barely getting anything out of them. They just want your money. I paid over $3,500 to be completely disappointed. I've definitely been robbed by this company.
