The rooms were spacious and clean. There was no temperature control when we stayed there. The ACs were shut off and the rooms were warm. Not a bad thing if you sleep warm, but I like a cold room and was a little uncomfortable. There was a fan provided and it helped. Downstairs in the lobby is a cool coffee nook where you can sit on comfy couches and can enjoy free coffee, tea or hot chocolate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The movie theater is stunning. If you don't take in a movie, you should at least take a peek inside. There is a small restaurant attached to the hotel as well. The menu is limited but the food was good. There is very limited parking at this hotel which was disappointing. There is a public parking lot next door, but it's paid and I don't know if it's overnight. The location is great. You can walk to many shops and restaurants and covered bridges are only a short drive away.

Hotel is in a great location and in a cool deco style old theater building. The room had a record player that was a nice touch. Unfortunately we found it to be quite dirty especially the floors and windows. It felt a bit like a prison cell to be honest. Very loud with doors slamming in the hallway. The bathroom definitely needs an update despite being billed as authentic and vintage. For the money I can't recommend staying here. Maybe the other rooms are nicer b/c we were in a pet-friendly room, but we're not heading back.

The Latchis building is a beautifully restored and well loved multi-use art deco style building. Last night I saw a movie in the main theater for the first time and I was NOT expecting the auditorium to be gorgeous or to be disappointed that we didn't have time before the movie to properly take it in. Both the lobby and main theater are very ornate and Greek themed. To quote my husband after doing a double take when we entered the theater"... Well,... This is very beautiful..." About a decade ago I saw a movie in theater 3 which is just a small plain serviceable theater... In no way preparing me for the main theater. This is a historic theater...and you are getting an old school experience. The seats don't recline and you don't book them in advance. Tickets are $10 for adults and the staff is nice and helpful. If you are staying in the Latchis hotel you never even have to leave the building. I didn't get any concessions... But they are a Pepsi house which is always deeply disappointing to me. This place would be perfect if it sold beer like the historic Somerville theater in Boston. But there i is a pub in the same building for before or after the show. The theater is very centrally located and by the parking garage.

absolutely love this theater and everyone who works here. Affordable ticket and concessions,…read morebeautiful theater, comfortable seats and easy parking.

We did stop at The Marina to eat but stood at the host desk waiting for someone to greet us for 10 minutes and we just kept being ignored by servers walking thru so we decided to walk out of The Marina and keep going. (Note to self, make Mondays in Vermont for driving, or nature, & less to-do activities). At Bar 580 a really friendly bartender/server made for a very welcoming experience. Sorry I didn't catch his name. The menu had a lot of burgers and sandwiches and salads. We had a tasty Ruben sandwich, great fries and a bowl of 580 Mac n cheese (with bits of diced jalapeño pepper and creamy local Grafton cheddar cheese! This was great tasting casual dining. For fun we enjoyed playing billiards on the 2 smaller tables up front. The sun-streaming & huge outdoor space on the back patio looked inviting, facing the woods and a fire pit. (but I request better seating other than only the picnic tables please) Thanks again to the Monday afternoon bartender for the friendly Vermont hospitality! Oh and make sure to visit the shop across the way for fun souvenir items before heading home.
