I had a wonderful experience shopping for a Mother of the Groom dress at Queen's Lace. I cannot say…read moreenough positive things about this boutique and its amazing staff. Their selection of elegant dresses is outstanding, with so many beautiful options that it was easy to find the perfect dress for such a special occasion. What truly sets this boutique apart is the staff. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. They made the experience feel less like shopping and more like a fun and memorable day out. If you are looking for exceptional service and a stunning dress selection, I highly recommend Queen's Lace!

Maybe it's my own ignorance thinking a $500 budget for a MOG dress was plenty, but when I arrived…read moreand informed them of my budget, and I was made to feel small. My sales associate informed me that all of their dresses were on average $1,000 or higher. Disclaimer: when I made the apt online I noted my budget was $500, no one ever reached out and informed me this was not appropriate for this store. I was given an incredibly small portion of the "discount" and damaged rack of dresses to try. When I finally found pale blue-green dress that could work (It was $200 and heavily pilled and frayed in the seems). I took a photo and sent it to some friends and my husband. They all said it looked white with blue floral application. I'm the MOG, I can't wear anything remotely white (or photographs white) to this or any wedding. When I told them the feedback and that I couldn't get this dress, they started to pressure me pretty hard. I had my Mom and Aunt with me, they were pressuring to, because they knew that was the last dress that was in budget and could work. I finally had to very firmly say "I can't". I was pretty upset I was being encouraged/pressured to settle on a damaged dress that "could work" (not the feeling I was going for), because it was the last one in my budget. After that, I just got dressed and just left. I left feeling upset, small, and overall embarrassed. Went to David's Bridal right after, had amazing service, tried on so many dresses, and picked one that was half of my $500 budget! Helpful Hint: if someone makes an appt at your store, notates their budget, and if it's not realistic, please notify them. Also, there are no prices online to even gauge what caliber of price and product you have in the store. Even your "Tips" section doesn't elude to $500 being a small budget being it's considered a bridal boutique. "Bridal salons and boutique stores can range from $300-$2,000"-directly from your website. --maybe put a statement the average cost of dresses in your shop (that's not on the damages discount rack).

So happy we found this place. I would just recommend if you're getting your daughters formal dress there, take it somewhere else for alterations. The lady the recommend that comes in for alterations was very rude and condescending to my 18-year-old daughter who was paying for everything by herself. No one told us ahead of time that she only took cash and she basically said that she does not deal with children. I have a very responsible and independent 18-year-old daughter at home and she would not deal with because she was there for a prom dress alteration. She kept referring to her as a "child". I will definitely go back for dresses but I will take my alterations business elsewhere

I gave them a chance even after that and after this second time we will never return and I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars over the past six years there. It's crazy to think that as a business owner you would be absolutely rude to a customer that you have seen every single year that was willing to put money into your store.

The Head of the department refused my purchase because I had given the sales person a tube of what I needed and she was so dumb she couldn't find the item. I had to go find the item for her then when I wanted my tube back, she claimed she couldn't find it so I said well is she stealing my tube? It took them an hour and a half looking through security cameras, and I kept saying just go look behind the counter and they would not look! So finally, I just went and walked behind the counter myself and there it was sitting right as I said it would be! I believe she was trying to steal it from me and then when I prove this they refused to allow me to make my purchases! I had to call Dillards in other cities, explain how I was treated and then they honored the sale. Worst part about it is she was a Latino woman dressed to look like exactly Kristie Noem secretary of Homeland security in a camo baseball hat. And this is a dept mgr? Wearing a camo baseball cap to work! That is disgustingly! Dillard's services is supposed to be to a high end clientele with those prices, so stop giving ghetto service! No wonder malls are going broke! They turn down sales! This was reverse discrimination. I'm old while lady. She is young Latina! And this is the third or fourth time I've had the same problem in the same store where I am discriminated against by Latina sales people. My proof is the black security officer comes and tells me every single time what they said and did to you is not right! They aren't treating you right in this store and you shouldn't be treated like this, why do you shop here?!!! So the black and the white person is together against the way the Latina sales ppl are treating the customers? This is disgusting ppl.

It's time for you to get to know me a little bit. Now that I've become a fairly visible Yelp Elite,…read moreI've been thrilled to get Yelp friends nationwide. That's so exciting to me. I love my Yelp community here in Indy. Awesome people and they showed up in a big way during my late 2019 hospitalization that ended up leading to amputation of my upper left leg. I like to think that I'm certainly a nice guy. I'm positive. I'm upbeat. I'm an encourager. While I sure didn't think I'd win "Complimenter of the Year," I must admit that I really love giving compliments. But, I have to confess. I'm also a bit of a weirdo. Seriously. Just ask the local Yelpers. I'm socially awkward, a serious introvert, and have a dark, dark sense of humor. I also have spina bifida. I'm a paraplegic, double amputee (above knee on left leg, below knee on right). I have scoliosis, so I have this curved spine and am so short I kind of look like a snail on wheels. Hey, I'm just being honest. Despite my self-deprecating ways (You'd probably caught on, eh?), I'm pretty darn comfy the way I am and have a lot of fun with it - usually at someone else's expense. For a long time, I loved visiting Foot Lockers and asking them if they had my feet. They never did. I actually did this at quite a few shoe stores. Well, I attended seminary in Richmond, Indiana (I know, weird. The church needs more goofballs). My fellow seminarians never believed me when I told them I liked to go to shoe stores and try on shoes. Again, I have no feet. So, one night after a particularly hard intensive a small group of us headed over to Richmond's Dillard's. We don't have Dillard's here in Indy (that I'm aware of) and we enjoyed shopping. Of course, we stopped in the shoe department and an incredibly sweet, unsuspecting sales person was left aghast when I started trying on shoes including high heels. Why not? The truth is, however, that this sales person ended up being so incredibly kind and generous that I ended up spending far more at Dillard's than I would have because I was so impressed with her service. I didn't buy any shoes, though. Dillard's is about the best store in the Richmond area that falls into the "department store" category. It's not fantastic, but it's consistently good and they're service on this occasion and subsequent occasions has always been super strong. They offer clothing (men, women, juniors, children), handbags, jewelry, accessories, lingerie, home goods and, of course, shoes. The prices aren't too bad. It's located in Richmond Mall, is fairly accessible and, of course, they tolerate weirdos in wheelchairs exploring the world of shoes despite not having any feet. I'm not sure I'd call it a destination store, but if you're in the Richmond area it's definitely worth stopping in.
