Wow. Every time we dine at The Springs we're blow away by the service, the ambiance and most importantly, the food. We can also bring our 9 year old, who is never disappointed with the kids cuisine. Service is top notch. The servers know the food very well, and they are always quick to suggest Pre-dinner cocktails and wine pairing with your food. We ordered some items that were new on the menu, and our server asked for our feedback to help the kitchen revise and improve the dishes. Ambiance is phenomenal. High ceilings, big windows, and piano music on the weekend. Comfy, sophisticated vibe. The food is always amazing. Crab cakes and Duck pirogies are standout starters. We also had their lamb and blackened trout. Their venison is also unique and delicious. Yes, dinner sets you back a fair penny. But you get amazing value, and the moment you leave you start planning the next special occasion that will give you an excuse to return. To all the staff at The Springs, thanks for being awesome. A true culinary gem in London.

If you are looking for fine dining in the Forest City, look no further. I'm sure most people in #ldnont are aquatinted with the Springs but I must reiterate! This old Church-turned restaurant is the perfect spot for a date or get together with family and friends. We had a few pals visiting from Toronto and they are big foodies. We knew we couldn't just take them anywhere. We decided on The Springs due to its amazing reputation for yummy, interesting, and fresh dishes. I knew they had live music on Fridays which was a big plus. Instead of ordering 1 meal for each of us. We all ordered 2 appetizers each. This allowed us to try out more items for roughly the same cost. We ordered 8 of the 11 small plates on the menu and were not disappointed. Highlights would be the escargot, the cambazola, crab cakes, sea scallop dumpling, and the duck perogies. All of the appetizers were very good, and beautifully presented. We had 2 waiters during the night. One to take care of the orders and the other who brought out the food. The one who took the orders was a bit distracted at times but was otherwise great. The one who brought out the food was really personable. I noticed the chef going to other tables over the duration of the evening. I kind of wish he visited our table cause this guy was basically a celebrity to us at this point. Phew, well fed, and happy happy happy. The live music was the perfect addition to the evening. It was beautifully played without being overbearing. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a special night out. Expect to pay a bit more (obviously) but what you get in return is top notch dining.

Went here for date night with the Mr. Ordered 4 appetizers. All were exceptional. So flavourful and complex. We absolutely loved it. Our server was great. Very friendly and always there when you need him. Nothing beats the atmosphere. It was intimate and cozy. Will definitely come back!

We decided on the following dishes: I) Seasonal grilled crostini II) Grilled octopus III) Whole wheat angel hair with jumbo prawns & scallops The crostini was by far my favourite. The mixture of duck, coriander, and toppings made for a delectable appetizer. However, the octopus was not what I expected. I think I had in my head a more tender texture typically found with squid tentacles. The octopus was oddly soft/chewy, and threw my tongue into a bit of a limbo. The pasta was delicious - a reliable seafood dish that was a surprisingly decent portion even when shared. The service stood out to me because we only ordered one entree, and the waitress recognized that we would likely be sharing, and brought it out to us already split up on two separate plates. I had never experienced such forethought, and truly appreciated the gesture. Though prices are a bit higher than other Italian joints in London, I do think Abruzzi is worth a visit.

I tried the Garlic's burger, which was okay, but nothing special, though still decent. The gnocchi was soft and pillowy, but the flavor wasn't really to my liking--it's heavily mushroom-based, so mushroom lovers might enjoy it more. I wished it had more of a nutty flavor. The pizza, however, was the star of the show. It was genuinely excellent, topped with pesto, arugula, and ham. It was so good that I still miss it! Overall, it was a good place to visit, especially after hearing some positive feedback from others. I think the dinner menu and service might offer a better experience.

You *smell* it on the way in and it's positively fabulous how potent the garlic is. Service staff were stellar too, so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys if you're nearby! Very kind service staff from start to finish. Didn't matter who's table it was, we were treated very well and had swift actions despite their busy peak hours. Interior is lovingly local with loads of signed art posters of shows while keeping furniture of decor looking pretty modern. Bread 5/5 Usually I highly prefer warm bread, but the bread was a nice spongey foccacia with a lovely chew paired with a fresh spicy olive oil dip. Good enough for some seconds! Garlic bisque - 5/5 Fresh black pepper grind for this boy as well! Super creamy, super delcious, fully delivers on all the garlicky glory. It was their only soup but I'd have another one to be frank. Didn't get a good picture of this sadly, but nice swirl presentation with the oil drizzle. Garlic frites - 5/5 This was probably the only dish I didn't think was garlic'ked to the high heavens, but it did have a nice light fry to them with a good and balanced seasoning to them. I'm not familiar with this cheese they use a lot of, but it does have a nice complexity to it without too much grease. The dip though, it was just beautiful with how smokey and much umami it had with a light citric bite at the end. Garlic's Burger - 4/5 The only critique I had with this was with the bun, which was unfortunately rather dry / thick compared to the burger itself. Otherwise it works pretty well in terms of composition as the buttery goodness of the roll blends with the rather tender patty (despite their 3oz. sizing they were remarkably tender even without much pink at all). The side we got was their caeser (option for fries or soup alternative). Very creamy (and garlicky, as promised by the name). Hot and smokey fettucine - 5/5 It was nothing like I imagined it when I ordered it, but remarkably creative as it was rather far from typical italian that I've had. Technique wise it was top notch, which edged it closer to a thai or chinese dry noodle stir fry without any obvious sauce base (afaik just oil and spicy pepper). Very solid amount of heat as a good medium for the spicy-minded, which is surprising given that it's the only item on the menu marked spicy. Flavor-wise the chicken came out closer to what I'd imagine sausage to be at with how smokey it tasted, but with a nice aroma to it from browning the noodles and garlic.
