This is the email I sent to them:
I ate lunch at your pub for the first time today with my mother and partner, and we were all incredibly disappointed with our meals - especially considering the extortionate prices which lead you to anticipate a high quality.
Firstly, our meals were served at different times, the man that brought out two meals disappeared saying 'I'll be back in a second with the extra vegetables' - of which there were none - and did not return with the third meal so we were forced to ask some other server to find out where it was. It was at least 10 minutes after receiving the first two meals before my partner got hers, by which time myself and my mother had already finished eating.
The chicken of the roulade was so dry it was difficult to cut or chew (and came with no other food but a coulis, despite costing £14),
The mince in the lasagne was so overcooked as to be an unpleasant mulch, The lasagne itself was curious, as it seemed to have no lasagne or bechamel sauce but a disproportionately large amount of cheese.
Also, the fries were all undercooked.
I feel we need to question the roast beef being called locally sourced sirloin. It was thin, dry and overcooked, and as a meal, strangely came with no vegetables but two types of potato (roast and mash?).
To sum up, there was not enough food for the cost, and the quality of the food that was there was atrocious, to the point that we felt we would have received a better meal at a cheap pub chain for half the price we paid, and all three of us left your venue hungry after a £50 meal.
I just thought you should know that with a location such as the one you have, you should improve your food and service, or lower your prices. read more
