The very best fresh, local fish, crabs, clams and oysters we have ever found. They smoke some of it also. Wonderful people. It is sparkly clean. The seagulls are polite and there is a nice view of the fishing boats in the marina. There is good parking. It is not far from the excursion train station so you can buy some smoked salmon etc. and go puffing along eating delicious mouthfuls whilst looking at the beautiful view. They have ice. I make it a point to support local owned businesses, rather than chains. That being said they had a nice selection of fresh fish, however when you local supermarket sells it for $3 to $4 per pound less than this local fish place, kind of makes you wonder if they are taken advantage of the local tourists that help support the local economy. They charged $26 to cook 3 crabs not even cleaned just throw them in hot water and check on them when done. Local markets should have their advantages with lower overhead costs, supermarkets are not going to buy for the same price they are selling the fish for. I've been stopping at the piers in Garibaldi for photo ops for decades and wasn't even aware that this place existed. Talk about fresh seafood! There is a motel/restaurant in Booth bay Harbor, Maine where they literally haul your lobster or crabs out of the bay when you order them off the menu. This place is like that. Lordy the man that works here was busy. He's helping customers, steaming the crabs, changing the nets, etc etc We got a half pint of shucked oysters. He packed them in ice. There was 13 in there for $14 Some cocktail sauce $3 The crabs looked awesome and man ahead of me buying two. $12 a lb And best of all the man gave me a shot glass cause i said they looked so cool! This is some of the best seafood I've had in my life. The only reason it has 3.5 stars is because 1) locals predominately eat here, 2) we're pretty sure they primarily sell to restaurants, 3) they aren't really a restaurant themselves (no sandwiches) as much as a place to get really really really incredible fish and crabs. We went on Wednesday at the recommendation of the host of our Airbnb. We took home two giant Dungeness crabs, a half-pint of oysters and some canned tuna. The crabs and oysters were so fresh, delicious, and huge. We then stopped there again on our way out of town and got three more crabs, and a sampling of smoked fish. Try the smoked oysters for melt-in-your-mouth smoked goodness. The store is family-owned, and they catch their own fish on their family boats. An excellent choice of a stop for lunch! read more

I bought 2 crabs I guarantee were not of legal size.. It was my fault for not looking at what they bagged in ice... But when I got home I just couldn't believe how badly they ripped me off! Charged me $38 dollars for two of the smallest crabs I ever seen for the EXPENSIVE PRICE.. I will not do anymore business with them!
