I guess its fine. Maybe theyll give me a discount on my actual order. Nope. No discount and heres the punchline. ITS MY FAULT APPARANTELY. HOW IS YOUR MISTAKE MY FAULT. Finally arrives, looks nothing like the image. Its like every model covered in fake tan. Second it rains, completely new thing. Unrecognisable. Wont be coming back any time soon.

Walked in and was kindly greeted by a staff member. She took our order of two oat milk lattes, and…read more3 mini egg sundaes. Wait time was around 5 minutes. Good time. However they came out with the two oat milk lattes and three mini egg hotchoclates. Annoying as it wasnt what we had orded but we all make mistakes. They take the hot choclates back, and ask us what we ordered. We said the 3 mini egg sundaes. They said we didn't order 3 mini egg sundaes but we apparantely ordered 3 mini egg hot choclates. So they had the audacity to blame us for THEIR mistake. I have very little oppose to mistakes. If you make one its whatever. But knowing fully that the customer (us) didnt make that mistake and they did, and not taking any accountability, that isnt okay. They made us pay full price which I suppose is fair, but still. Plus the image of the mini egg sundae looks nothing like the actual image. Its like buying a dog, its amazing, you cant wait and once its home its crapped on the floor and you wonder why the hell did I spend so much on this. None the less the food was good and we at least got our meals. I dont know if Id be rushing to come back soon anytime in the near future. My ONLY suggestion. Take accountability for your mistakes. Its natural to make mistakes as humans. So just accountability and this place is good to go.

The first thing to point out is that Hen Siop is Welsh for "Old Shop" so this isn't a place to go…read moreto buy chickens, unless you want them in a pie with a bit of mushroom because Hen Siop is in fact a fish and chip shop. From the outside it doesn't look like a typical takeaway as it's constructed from the same stone as every other building in the village, presumably this is some sort of National Park planning requirement. Step inside and you could be in any chip shop anywhere in the country. There are no surprises on the menu, it's all typical chippy fare, and the prices are reasonable given that Betws is a tourist trap. There's a small seating area inside but better than this, assuming the sun is shining, is the small seating area outside. If you want something more scenic then you can cross the adjacent Pont-y-Pair bridge and make your way down to the river bank opposite for a picnic. Not a particularly outstanding chippy in it's own right but perfectly acceptable and thanks to it's location definitely worth a visit.

I have had fish and chips all over our wonderful country BUT the fish in this place (as far as…read more"fish and chips" goes) are at the very top of the best of the best. Its a wonderful combination of the fish they use, they way the cook it and the atmosphere in which you get it. Oh and did I mention the portion size is huge!! This is not a posh place its a very common looking "chippie shop" in a small village in Betws-Y-Coed but wow!!! That being said, most of the other food on the menu is very what you might expect so what ever you do, if you are there, get the FISH AND CHIPS. You can sit down and have them either inside or outside or you can take them away. Just a great, hidden gem! A real do not miss.
