This is the best doctor I've ever gone too. Jen makes me feel heard and actually got to the root of…read moremy problems instead of brushing them off or prescribing more medications. She has run numerous blood tests to find out EVERYTHING and all my imbalances where as every other doctor I've ever seen has made me feel dramatic instead of helping. I couldn't be more thankful to have her as my doctor. If you're considering coming here I can't recommend it enough.

Im a military spouse and she was just assigned to me, I'm not from here. When I first tried to…read moresearch her up I hardly found info on her. This is a tough rating because the doctor is nice and staff is nice too but they NEVER see me at my scheduled time. For example my appointment was schedule at 10:30, I arrived at 10:15 and it's past 10:55 and I'm still in the waiting room. And the worst part is I already went to the Woman's Medical Center and they give me the info I needed but apparently they could not give me a referral because they are not my "assigned doc", so when I told the nurses here with Dr. Tammy, they told me I still had to come in to see Doctor. The cruddy part is they told me it would be a "quick" visit on the phone. I've been in the waiting room for over half an hour. I wish I would've known this information months ago before going through the last few months. UPDATE: it's 11:37 and only seen the nurse - still haven't seen Dr. Tammy.

I had a very disappointing experience at Desert Chiropractor today as a new patient. My insurance…read morerecently renewed, and I've been seeing another chiropractor without any billing issues--only paying my standard co-pay. I also work in healthcare and understand how insurance and billing should be handled. When I arrived, I was told I needed to pay a coinsurance percentage before even being seen. I explained that I was willing to pay, but I wanted to verify the billing details first since this was different from my usual experience. The front desk initially offered to bill my insurance and connect me with their billing manager, which I appreciated. However, things quickly went downhill. Another woman called me up (without introducing herself) and insisted I pay the amount they calculated. I again explained that I was not refusing to pay--I simply wanted to confirm which CPT codes would be used so I could verify the estimate with my insurance. She appeared visibly annoyed and provided what she claimed were billing codes, but they were actually diagnosis codes--not CPT codes. As someone with healthcare experience, that was a major red flag. I calmly pointed out that it didn't make sense to already have diagnosis codes before I had even been evaluated by the provider. Additionally, they had already calculated coinsurance before any exam, which suggests predetermined billing practices. To my surprise, I later found out this individual was the chiropractor herself. Her response to reasonable questions was dismissive--she laughed, refused to provide proper billing information, and walked away. At that point, I declined treatment and left. This experience felt unprofessional, dismissive, and concerning from a billing transparency standpoint. Patients have every right to understand how they are being charged, especially before receiving care. I would not recommend this office based on how they handled a straightforward and reasonable request.
