He is very knowledgable of all things current in the comic world, knows people in the industry, has artist appearances to sign books and will happily talk to you about any comic related issue you may have. He will happily set up your pull list with discount prices for doing so. The very large inventory of current and near current books, both majors and independents, are neatly bagged and boarded on shelves. You can frequently find the last ten issues of any story available on the shelf for their cover price. While there are not boxes and boxes of back issues in the store, they will always happily track down any issue(s) you need to acquire. The store also has a good selection of "kids" comics for the young readers. Additionally, Alterniverse has a large supply of all the card games, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon: decks, boosters and singles. And what comic store would be complete without the action figures and "higher end" collectables that are nicely displayed. The store has moved across the street from its former home and is very spacious. I am actually surprised not to see more comments here, as the store is invariably full of people all the time. There is a constant schedule of MAgic and Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments going all week. Frankly, I love this store and only wish I lived closer to it. It is the only place you should go if you are looking for comics in upstate NY.

It's not organized in an obviously clean way. But +1 to the worker who was there when I came in. Really helpful and knew where everything was. Tons of vintage comics, and some modern back issues (but not a whole lot). When I came in on a Saturday, this week's new releases were nearly gone already so I suspect they don't order a whole lot each week. But that wasn't why I visited the shop anyway. I thought the older issues were priced pretty fairly and they also tend to bundle whole series together, in case you're interested in buying the entire set / don't want to hunt down all the issues separately. Not so much in terms of collectibles. Random modern comic book movie memorabilia and old carded GI Joe figures. Some Funko Pop figures, but that's pretty much it. Overall it's a pretty good shop, but again, they get brownie points for knowledgeable staff!

I love that I never have to worry about rushing over every week since I might miss an issue, since Mike takes great care of my pull list and even throws in a few surprise titles which are usually right up my alley! He even goes out of his way to host midnight release parties for special titles for the comic faithful who cannot wait! Every year he does a great job with Free Comic Book Day which I always make a point to bring my younger cousins/ nephews to and plant the seed early to continue the readership on these top of the line titles. I have been a regular customer now for over 3 years and I wish Rogue Comics the utmost best since I would dread the day I'd have to resort to ordering these books online and miss out on the awe and wonder I regularly experience at Rogue Comics!
