There are some barber shop waiting chairs which are right to the stand that you can sit in, there was some nice music playing in the barber side and you could hear it since it's just a door and a glass wall connecting the two. After many positive reviews from my daughter, we finally made it to Ini's to grab a few of their signature drinks. Their space is bright, intimate, and clean. We ordered a peach mango mix, watermelon, and pineapple. All milk based with real fruit chunks included. All satisfied our sweet cravings. As these are familiar Pacific Islander drinks, I only wish they had my favorite - banana. The owner and her husband who owns the barbershop next door, were present. They were welcoming and kind. Support small and local. Highly recommend Ini's.

This visit, I got their "Grinch." It was matcha based and delicious. For my Ma, I ordered a vanilla chai with almond milk. I was asked if I wanted to add a tip to the card I provided to pay. I planned to, but them asking first, in addition to, not being shown my tip options on a screen, wasn't something I expected. I told the barista 35% was fine. I was given my drinks and my card. These folks are the warehouse/training/distribution for all their coffee shops and many independent Coffee shops all over Anchorage. You need a specialty syrup they probably have it or can get it. David was very helpful when I called and since they're open to the public, anyone can drop in he checked me out when I was there too. The place is cool and if you were going to open a coffee shop this would more than likely be the place to start off at building a relationship with your distributor for all things coffee. I'll just make a Lychee Empress Gin Fizz cocktail for my wife that we discovered in San Fransisco we got the recipe for that needs the Monin Rose syrup! I used to get it shipped by Amazon, but they're local and while at a mobile coffee truck at a dog show I saw different Monin syrups and knew that a coffee shop distributor had to have it up here! Not only did they help us find coffee that catered to our individual taste but also to the way we made it - as my wife prefers drip coffee and I like the French press. They create an account for you to kind of keep track of what you purchase and so everytime you go in, they can pull up data and give you exactly what you like. They have a variety of beans, blends and a lot of other coffee related stuff at the store and the best part is, it's all at wholesale prices. I wish they would revert the menu back to the way it used to be. The default drink should not be a special. If I want to have an oolong milk tea with boba, it rings up as a special and they add in the notes that I just want the milk tea, and then they add the charge for boba on top of the price of an already specialty drink price. And the cashier always looks at me confused and has to ask for help to figure out how to put in a milk tea with boba at a boba shop... I like to tip but when I'm getting charged $9.50 for a plain milk tea with boba, having to pay over $10 total for the simplest classic boba order does feel bad. Also, the point system makes no sense, and the points expire. I don't live in Anchorage but I literally try to come here as often as I can. There's no reason for the points to expire considering how much you have to spend to get a credit. It's an easy fix and I would really like it if they changed those couple things.
