The Spence in Edinburgh is located in the heart of the city. This restaurant is stunning inside, which has earned it a reputation as one of Scotland's most beautiful dining spots.
Upon entering The Spence, you're greeted by a laid-back atmosphere with piano music. I sat at the bar for lunch. The ambiance is elegant but comfortable. Perfect for tourists who are exploring in comfortable clothes.
The menu at The Spence features an array of items. During my visit, I sampled the monk cheeks, which were tender and perfectly cooked. The spinach and feta tart was delicious. It had yummy creamy feta and fresh spinach encased in a crisp and flaky pastry. The fries were a simple but a typical accompaniment of mine.
