Spanish Tapas food is so much fun, the Spaniards know how to party and that is what Tapas is really all about, it's all party food. The Spanish Fly is a great option for Tapas, it is just around the corner from the Randwick Ritz cinema and it is a Funky space with a great outdoor area. Tapas usually is a bit pricy as you do not get a lot of food so you have to keep ordering more and more, it is okay though as The Spanish Fly's offerings are good so you want to keep trying everything. My favourite is always the fried potatoes and you need lots of them to soak up all the alcohol in the Sangria. Sangria is just the best drink ever, but it is so deceptive because it is like a soft drink and so easy to drink and suddenly your drunk. Oh well ready to part at least.

Get a group of your mates together, book a table and spend the night chilling, drinking and laughing with your friends as this is what the Spanish Fly was designed for.... Now everytime I've walked passed its been PACKED so I suggest you get in early or book.... I headed there for a friends birthday and we had so much.. The Sangria was delicious and the food fabulous...lots of yummy little dishes to keep your taste buds satisfied... It's a little pricey and the plate size a little small....but if you make an occassion our of it - you can actually end up having quite a good value night out. I loved the Haloumi, John Dory Fillets and the olives - all excellent! Dishes costs between $15 - $25 and are designed to share.

Cool name - check. Tapas - check. Cocktail Happy Hour - check. Heading into Randwick for a quick dinner and this place grabbed our attention. The setting and decor is awesome and instantly eases you into the evening. We enjoyed a cocktail each and the mixed dip plate. At $12, due to happy hour 6 - 7pm, the cocktails were worth it - also if you like them on Facebook during Happy Hour they will extend your hour for another 30mins (7:30pm). We ended up grabbing the scallops, beef carpaccio and paella balls from the tapas menu. All the food tasted great, however, the plates were expensive for the portion size. This place will be a repeat to stop in for a cocktail and single plate when catching up with a friend for a drink or prior to heading to the movies.

Looking for a little bit of fancy in Bondi then look no further then Kelly's Bar and Grill located…read moreon level 5 of Westfield. Fine dining with fantastic panoramic views over Bondi and towards the city. The main cuisine of choice for this joint is large slabs of meat. Steak is there speciality but they offer a range of other options such as Vegetarian plates, Burgers, Ribs and Sea food too. I have been here a few times and I usually tend to go here when I want a hit of protein in the form of man size steak. On this occasion I was dining with some work colleagues and we decided we would order a few different options in order to get the best of all worlds. We decided to order the Salmon with a baked potato, Sirloin Steak 350gm with steamed Vegetables and the Seafood platter. Like a good team we had every base covered. Before our dinners came out we were provided with Kelly's famous complimentary bread. The bread is really sweet and melts in your mouth and excellent to get you excited for the mains. The salmon was grilled to perfection and the staff even asked how we wanted it cooked. I only recently found out some people like salmon raw on the inside ( still unsure why ! Go for sushi if you want raw fish ). It was beautiful and really fresh. The sirloin was very tender and juicy. The Steaks always come with deep fried onions on the side and the steamed vegetables were just steamed enough and still hard in a good way. The seafood platter was the stand out dish very surprisingly considering that Kelly's isn't known specifically for seafood. The platter was packed with calamari, mussels, John Dory, prawns and all upon a bed of fried rice. The fish was so good it tasted as if it was probably happy swimming in the deep blue sea that morning before making its way onto our plates. The service in this place was very good and the wait staff were easy to be got when ever we needed assistance.

Haven't been in ages. Was happy that we got a window table with a view…read more The wait staff were great except for when it came to closing. They didn't ask if we wanted dessert and brought our bill to the table without explaining that they close at 10pm. So even though everything abt the evening was good, they stuffed it up with the ending and that's just not cool.

Osteria Riva - Nutella tart - 11$ - very rich but so good

Would have given 5 stars (well deserved for the food) - but the service was well below average (unfriendly) so it is a 4. We tried 3 pasta dishes (from 22 to 26$) : risotto with sage, pumpkin and buffala mozzarella, pasta a la vongole and I had cappelletti (pasta filled with cheese) Ai porcini. All 3 were delicious - very authentic as what you would get in Italy. The servings could be a little bigger (cappelletti in particular). At least it gave us the opportunity to try the desserts :-) Nutella tart was the special...and a winner. It was rich so good to be shared but the homemade crust was very well done and the filling has a great strong Nutella taste. I also liked the vibe - nothing fancy, simple busy local restaurant. A refreshing change from all the restaurants in the city, Surry hills etc... I must say :-)

It's about time I wrote a review for my favourite local Italian restaurant. I am surprised they…read morearen't already listed on Yelp as they have plenty of reviews on TripAdvisor! And the fact that the majority of their ratings are 5/5 on TripAdvisor speaks for itself ;) Everything from the service to the ambiance to the food is an A+. All the staff are Italian and they will help you with food/wine recommendations. The pastas are freshly handmade, the wine is beautiful and the prices are very fair. I walked by this restaurant weekly noticing it was always packed yet I had never heard the name before so I finally looked it up on the internet and saw fantastic reviews. It is definitely a local's spot as it is situated in Bondi Junction and most Sydney folks probably haven't heard of it. Everything I have had here is wonderful! Just to list a few - Asparagi in Camicia $13.5 (fresh steamed asparagus wraped in Fontina cheese, Prosciutto & crumbed) -Carpaccio di Manzo $14.5 (Beef carpaccio) -Tagliata di Manzo a peso $11 per 100 g (beef sirloin steak) -ALLLL of their pastas No better way to finish off a great Italian meal with affagato! Do yourself a favour and dine here - you won't be disappointed. Feels like Italy! Note: All 5 photos were taken from the restaurant's fb page - I did not take them.
