I treated myself to a massage and pedicure today at The Spa Lounge and it was amazing! Maps took me right to the parking lot but the spa is inside a building with other businesses but it's easy to find on the 3rd floor. I really like how this place operates by having you change into you rob while waiting for your service, they have lockers for your belongings which is nice. It helps to get you longer with the provider. A one hour massage with Krystal, who was perfect! They have heated tables and clean spaces. Krystal was kind and communicative prior to the message and I asked for medium pressure and it was perfect. I had booked the basic pedicure for 30 minutes after my massage for a buffer but they asked if I wanted it back to back and I did and they made sure it was ok if I was a minute or two late because of getting dressed which was wonderful. I even asked if I could last minute upgrade to the next level pedicure to have a full hour and they were happy to accommodate that as well. My pedicure with Janessa was fantastic as well! She was so nice and happy to chat with me during my service. She did such a beautiful job. They use liners in the tubs and have great chairs. I did receive a first timer discount I saw online, so that was nice too. I'll for sure be back for another service in the future. read more

I have been a to the Spa Lounge in Holladay multiple times and especially have found the location convenient but after today I will never return there again due to how I was treated. They would not honor my online booking telling me they had were a third party booking and they have no control over that system. The receptionist was very rude and unhelpful. Calling her manager she seemed totally unable to help in anyway and as i heard the conversation she showed no respect to me. I have enjoyed the services I have had preciously but I can never return to a place that doesn't honor their promotions or understand respect and kindness. read more

Tried out the Spa Lounge for the first time and was not disappointed! Our party of 3,enjoyed a 90 minute massage followed by a pedicure. We were welcomed by the front desk and walked to our lockers where we were given slippers, robes, and a surprise York Patty! After that, we went to wait in the waiting room where there was lots of tea choices and water to choose from to relax before our massage. The massage was probably one of my favorites and the other girls in party said the same. The massage therapists actually listened to our requests and followed what we wanted them to do. Shout out to my massage therapist, Marissa, who did a fantastic job working out all the knots in my back and found some new ones I never knew were there. Janessa did my pedicures and she was very thorough and detailed - she did a fantastic job with my French tip nails taking time and making sure each nail was perfect. Update: It's meh, and I've gone for manicures and pedicures three times. The complaints I have: 1) The price for a manicure came with a massage when I got my nails done, and they did skip that every time I went. If you aren't always providing it to clients but quote it in the price, maybe think of deducting your price some and taking it off the menu. Similar for the feet but there is a very short little baby massage when they put the scrub and lotion on...very short. Third visit I got a bit longer massage, and it was good. I thought one of their ladies doing my nails did not really know how to paint nails well. Very unsteady hand, gloppy application. It still worked out. The next time I noticed the problem may be in the lack of care to the nail polish. My old spa had machines that shake the polish and a solution to thin it out when it got thick and goopy. I do very much miss my old faithful, Destee Nail Spa. I didn't end up with great results for my feet any time I've gone, and the third time is when I finally figured it out. It's not the technicians, it's the product they are working with, with the exception of the one that was unsteady and didn't seem experienced. I have a photo of my pedicure though so you can see for yourself. I read through reviews and found responses by the owner on some of them a little unprofessional...like "WHOA, I can't believe she said that." Of course, I don't know the situation but it was pretty comical reading through some of the responses. There are obviously some extremely unhappy customers, seems related to contracts and any dealings with the owner. I may stick to being a non-member and try to avoid some of the other services. Other than all this, I love the facility and the technicians are all very sweet. I hear the massages are good. read more

Went while in town as a little Christmas gift to myself. Super cute spa, they are moving to a new location soon. I did massage with Amy. She is amazing! Strong hands, made me feel super comfortable. My facial was with the Alex. I never had so many different products! It was definitely super in depth and relaxing. Jessica gave me my pedicure. She was sweet and did a thorough job!! I felt like for the price it was fitting. I think a lot of the negative reviews must be people wanting a super fancy spa experience and need to realize how much those prices would be... Just had an incredible spa treatment by Xochitl. She was confident, listened to what I needed and truly cared about my experience. Highly recommend her. After my Spa treatment I enjoyed a manicure by Janessa. We laughed until our cheeks hurt. She did an impeccable job on my nails. My hands and body are still on vacation from these gals. Now... the exterior, gooood lordy!! Just as the information on their site states, it's not much to look at and not very welcoming. But you will change your mind when you walk in and are greeted by the cutest, kindest gals. So for sure do not judge a book by its cover, (a building by its exterior). This review is regarding the lash lift and tint treatment ($90). Unfortunately, I did not see nearly as much of a lift as I was expecting. Rather, it was more of a slight curl upwards for some of the lashes (see before/after photo). The after photo was taken the same day as the treatment, and I was careful to not expose my eyes to any moisture/steam/eye products/etc. I think that if the lash technician had maybe used a different curl rod or left the solution on longer, the results would have been more visible as I have long lashes. As it stands now, they look largely the same as before, so I don't think it was worth anywhere near $90. I get much more of an actual curl using a mechanical eyelash curler that has been heated with a hairdryer. Still giving two stars as service was friendly, they have heated beds (on top of providing blankets!), and the ambient music is relaxing. I'm hoping this was a one-off experience! Note: I didn't think about taking an actual before picture, so I'm just using a cropped version of a normal picture...sorry for the blurriness! read more

I had my first full spa day ever at Spa Lounge, and it was the best thing I could've done for myself on a Friday afternoon. From the check in to the different services, I had the most relaxing day. Amy (deep tissue massage) was incredible and I really appreciated how she kept checking in about the pressure she was using. She was also telling me how to improve my posture and reduce pain moving forward. Sami (signature body scrub) was so knowledgeable about skin care and the products they use in the spa. I ended up buying a ton of products after hearing Sami speak so highly about the brand! I had my reflexology session with Kyra who did an amazing job in working out my feet and hands. Lastly, I had my manicure with Janessa who picked out the colors i was looking for and did a great job in making my hands look pretty again. It was my first time at the Spa Lounge. I went to the Murray location. My experience was very relaxing. Sabrina was my esthetician. I had the Signature peel. It was soothing, no discomfort and it was an orange fragrance that lingered long after I got home. The Spa Lounge is also open on Saturdays until 9:00pm. It was an awesome treat for a Saturday night. So i really wanted to like this place, i came with a date and it just was not what I'd hoped for. My dates massage was great and he liked it. But mine was awful at first i asked for a little more pressure and she gave that but her technique was was just so bad. i don't want to come off rude but it really was that bad. Also she threw a REALLY hot towel on my back lol. It was so hot i almost jumped up. And I'm the type of person that takes REAL hot baths ect. I tried to suck it up but then she put her hands on the towel and pressed down to wipe the oil off my back, i could have screamed lol . It was so bad i couldn't help but laugh. I like that the beds are heated and that you can change into a nice clean robe and slippers. The place itself seemed ok. I could have just had bad luck (I'm hoping that's all it was). My massage was great. Eyelash lift was good. But my manicure was sub par. Most of my nails look like an 8 year old painted them with polish all over my cuticles. It was really disappointing. Plus there was no massage whatsoever with the manicure. Following up on my review: the Spa contacted me directly and were very apologetic about the manicure. I had a membership for 2 years and sadly had to cancel it. I had at least 6 credits remaining and I thought 90 days from the last payment from my account to use them. Not the case! With 2 credits remaining I went for a hot stone massage and only when it was over was I informed that my credits had very recently expired!!! The workers there are nice but they will definitely not inform you if you are within days of losing your credits. Very disappointed in the management because I asked the receptionist to call and double check that nothing could be done. I was informed that I could pay for the massage I had just received then reapply for membership ($64) then possibly get my credit back, after that cancel (another 30 day cancellation notice $64 more). I was cheaper to just pay the $100 for my massage. Correct I did sign the termination of membership because the monthly amount went up. I understand having "a business to run", but I was missing the deadline by just a few days and you wouldn't even consider giving me any kind of discount when I had a credit of $128!!! I will absolutely not recommend your spa to anyone. read more

First time visiting this Spa and my goodness, what a treat!!! I'm from Las Vegas and was out here for some training so I figured I would do some self-care during my downtime. After this visit, I will make time to come here anytime I'm in town!! Making the appointment was super easy online. I booked with Mike P. which is very different for me because I've never had a massage by a male before. He made me feel very comfortable from the beginning until the end. There wasn't a moment I didn't enjoy and felt wonderful when we finished. He's great!! Seriously would come back to see him. The check-in was super easy too and the locker/lobby area is very relaxing. You get a robe and slippers if you would like and they have teas if you enjoy that kind of thing. It was very zen. This place is wonderful! I got a recommendation from friends of ours who have memberships and was not disappointed. The ambiance once you go back into the spa is tranquil, dark, and feels exactly how a spa should. I've gone twice now and have seen two separate massage therapists and both did fantastic jobs! My first massage was just a normal therapeutic massage and the second was deep tissue. I love that you get to change into a clean nice robe with slippers and hangout with the option to have tea before your massage. My only, very slight, criticism is that the front desk person my first visit wasn't the friendliest. But I will give her the benefit of the doubt, as it was the very end of the day and she could have just been tired. First I was misinformed over the phone that this was a full service spa. I arrived and was told different. They did make an exception and allow me to use the shower which was ice cold!! The massage was not very good because the main area I wanted massaged (back and shoulders) was pretty much skipped over. She rarely used her hands to massage me but instead used her elbows most of the time digging into bone at times and skipping over muscle... this tells me that she does not properly know how to massage. Lastly, when I told the manager the shower was ice cold, she gave me attitude. I was not asked when I left how my service was which tells me that their customer service is lacking. THE SPA LOUNGE I gave them a 10 because I can't think of it being any better than it was. My two daughters and I had messages & Facials. The employees were so concerned about our comfort, it was awesome. I really feel that it helped my sciatica as well as my well being. I will be getting a membership to The Spa Lounge soon. I had a great facial here and really wanted to like it. The staff is all friendly and great, but I had the worst manicure experience. I got gel and multiple nails chipped in less than a day, so I called to get them fixed. They charged me $20 for a "polish change", when it was two nails and a fix. Later that day, multiple more nails were chipped. Not sure if it's the polish they use or what, but I'm in $90 for a manicure that lasted a day. read more

Extremely disappointed. I made appointments for a date night with my boyfriend and his experience was not good at all. Amber did his microdermabrasion facial and it was not up to par. Her phone was vibrating during the appointment and she told him that it was weather warnings, even if that was the case that is incredibly unprofessional to have your phone in the room while doing a service and for her to say it's a weather warning just proves that she was looking at her phone during the service which is ridiculously unprofessional. The client should be your main priority, at least over your phone at the bare minimum. Amber did one pass of the microdermabrasion on my boyfriend while my service provider did three passes on myself. Amber also put on the mask after the microdermabrasion and apparently just sat there instead of offering a shoulder/neck or scalp massage which I believe comes with the service. Very disappointed with the quality of the service compared to the price we paid for the service. Will not be returning to Amber again, and will not be recommending her to anyone I know. read more

STAY AWAY & BE WARY OF REVIEWS SINCE THEY CLEARLY PUNISH ANYONE WHO REPORTS BAD EXPERIENCES. Apparently if you write a review that is not in their favor and complain about your service and treatment they will confiscate any credits you have with them (aka steal your money). They are thieves and liars. They put me through a week long back and forth over email, they promised to uphold their agreement and not charge me any more after my account was cancelled if I paid a month in advance for my final credit. I asked for that to be put in writing. Nope. They want me to call in and hand over my credit card information to the people who had already told me my account was officially cancelled multiple times and refused to send me an invoice with the dates and terms agreed on in writing. Instead, they went back on their promises when I I wanted proof and are keeping over $200 and refusing to either reimburse or allow me to even give the credits to someone else. I receive massages regularly! If I lived here. Danica would be my go to for massages! Danica was great at pinpointing spots that needed relief and took her time working on those areas. It never felt like she was trying to rush through any one step. She really listened to what my body was doing and how I felt to design the treatment around what I needed. She applied a good amount of steady pressure! I would highly recommend!!!
