Cute little snack options both healthy and sweet and a nice TV to pass the time if you arrive early. My appointment was on time and I felt comfortable the entire time. I look forward to returning because of how peaceful and relaxing my experience was.

If you aren't familiar with NovaLashes, they are individual eyelash extensions and it takes some talent and practice to get them right. I was thrilled with the outcome and happy the Jennifer suggested a different style lash that curled because my natural lashes grown down. Initial investment is $175, but fills are only $45 (which is less than I was paying for fills before). A few days later and I haven't seen one lash fall off, which is atypical. Thank you so much Jennifer! Looking forward to some glam and no fuss lashes on my big day in December!

I adore Ashley Chilsen and she never fails to make me feel pretty. They do lots here: haircut and style, hair coloring, perms, waxing, extensions, and massages. They also have continuing education for the stylists so they can hone their skills. The higher the level of the stylist, which is listed on their site, the higher the base pay. I guess when you make your appointment, you could ask what the base pay of that particular stylist will be. Prices on par for a salon that makes you look nice. Refreshments are available upon request. Beautiful venue and always clean. Every now and then i get an email where they put on a fun event or provide a discount special for the holidays or charity event. I've seen wine and canvas and couple massage packages. These people keep on being fabulous, so I'll keep coming back. Thank you!

I was prepared to pay a $50 cancellation fee, but I was not prepared to pay 50% of services NOT received. So, I paid over $200 for a cut and partial frost PLUS $107 late cancellation fee. I am STILL in shock. I was informed that the policy had been in place for a couple years. That's great but as one who is not typically a no-show, I did not know. *****There should be signs throughout the salon!! I'm sure this was a management call --and it was a bad one.

I should have trusted my instincts from the moment I walked in…read more The first clue was that the front door doesn't close unless you manually pull it shut behind you. The second clue was the giant rhinestone-covered jaguar hanging on the wall. The third clue was that one of the three salon chairs was broken. Things only got worse from there. The salon was strangely empty, the walls around the styling stations were bare, and though everything was covered in hair. Cleanliness did not appear to be a priority. When I asked to use the restroom before my appointment, I was directed down a hallway past several small rooms that gave off a vibe somewhere between a discount spa and the location of a future police investigation. At this point, every survival instinct I possess was telling me to leave. Unfortunately, the salon's Instagram photos looked fantastic, so I ignored all common sense and stayed. My stylist was polite. We discussed exactly what I wanted and I showed her multiple reference photos. She even told me the photos were examples of her work done at the salon. I felt reasonably confident we were on the same page. Then came the balayage. As the foils came out, I immediately suspected something was wrong. Way too much hair had been lightened, but I tried to reserve judgment because my hair was still wet. After another round of processing, toning, bleaching--or whatever step we were on at that point--it became painfully obvious that my hair looked nothing like the photos I had shown. Instead of a dimensional balayage, I left with top layer of all bright white hair, uneven color placement underneath, with a few patchy sections of what had been my hair. My natural color was gone, and the result looked more like someone had painted bleach all over my head to color my hair rather than a professional balayage service. When I expressed my concerns, my stylist called the owner on FaceTime. Rather than discussing solutions professionally, the conversation immediately became defensive. I was told they have plenty of five-star reviews and that I might be their first one-star review. I was also threatened with having the police called because I said I didn't feel the service warranted full price. For the record: I never refused to pay. I simply said I didn't believe the result matched what was discussed or requested. Meanwhile, my stylist looked absolutely terrified, shaking during the entire interaction, and I honestly felt worse for her than I did for myself. I paid, left, and decided there was no chance I would return even though the owner said she'd fix it -- but after having her talk down to my on the phone I had no interest in meeting her or giving anymore time to this place. The most expensive part of this appointment won't be the $175 I paid. It'll be whatever I have to spend elsewhere to have my hair corrected. If you're considering this salon, my advice is simple: trust your instincts better than I trusted mine.

I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the handling of my cancellation request and…read moremy overall experience as a long-term customer. Toward the end of September, I visited the Sunspot location to cancel my monthly tanning subscription. I have been a paying client for approximately two years and have been a customer on and off since 2013 and never had a previous complaint. The staff member I spoke with confirmed that she noted my request in my file and informed me that I would receive a call from corporate two weeks prior to my next payment draft. She also provided me with the corporate contact number. After leaving the salon, I called corporate and spoke with Lynn, who explained that Teri handles all cancellation requests and would call me to verify my intent to cancel. (This was the required process per the bank rules) I did receive that call from Teri, who was kind and personable. During that call, she assured me that my monthly payment had been stopped. When I first spoke with Lynn, I also shared my concerns about the tanning beds included in my package. Bed #13 produces no noticeable results, and bed #15 becomes uncomfortably hot to the touch. I was told that no other clients had expressed similar issues, but my coworker--who uses the same beds--experienced the same problems and even reported a burn due to a crack in bed #15's glass. In addition, bed #15's lid does not stay open properly, posing a safety hazard when trying to get in and/or out the lid falls. I felt my concerns were minimized, which was one of the reasons I chose to cancel my membership. On Thursday, October 16th, I noticed that my card had still been charged for the October payment. I immediately called corporate. Lynn answered, stated she was in a meeting, and asked me to call back in an hour to speak with Teri. The call disconnected abruptly, and I was unable to reach anyone when I called back. Later that afternoon, around 4:10 p.m., I received a return call from Teri. While the call began positively, the tone changed when Teri stated she had previously told me that Sunspot had switched credit card companies and that I should call if my card was charged again due to known system issues. I do not recall being told this, and it was concerning to learn that this was a known problem. If this issue has affected other customers, it seems the company should proactively monitor cancellations to prevent unauthorized charges AND immediately issue refunds if they occur. Teri did process a refund and emailed me confirmation, for which I am grateful. However, the overall experience left me feeling that customer concerns are often dismissed or treated as inconveniences rather than opportunities for improvement. I hope you will review this situation and consider the feedback seriously. I have appreciated being a Sunspot client for many years and would like to see greater attention given to both customer service and equipment maintenance moving forward.

I walked up to the counter and was told I couldn't tan unless I put my dog in the car (it was 90 degrees outside) or took her home. I questioned how my dog would be able to alert me if she was locked in a car? She said the law says service dogs weren't allowed in the salon and if I couldn't find the law, she would find it for me. I never found any proof of that with ADA, and though she said she had the proof on her desk at work, she never provided it. Adding to her rude behavior, she questioned why I had a service dog now, but never had one before, and put the words service dogs in quotes. How does you even respond to that?!? All I wanted was to get my money back and go elsewhere but was refused a refund because "I didn't have a good enough reason to get one". The owner was rude, condescending and insinuated I was trying to pass off a pet for a service dog. I had plans to use several of their services but now I'll just have to accept I lost my money and warn others about my bad experience.
