    The quiet room

I have been looking forward to this visit for some time. Yes, it is so expensive, but it really was a great visit! I had a massage and facial service. My appointments were 2 hours apart and I'm so glad! (My sister had a longer wait between her services when she came and wished they were closer) My massage therapist was Noon and it was the BEST massage I have ever received. My facial was by Lori and she did a wonderful job and was so friendly. From arrival to check out every single person I encountered was friendly and attentive. You can tell they have a great training program. I had a chicken Caesar wrap with potato salad for lunch. Loved the wrap, didn't love the potato salad but I typically don't, I should've gotten fruit. The chocolate covered strawberries were DELICIOUS, I could've eaten 6 of those. My package also came with 2 drinks, so I had 2 different margaritas. I had low expectations, just because they're "included," but they were also great. Overall, it was a spectacular visit. The ONLY downer was that the pool area was packed and a little overwhelming. I think if it were warmer outside, it wouldn't have felt so bad since people could spread out more. I utilized the "quiet room" a lot to get away from the noise! I surely hope to come back. Also, if you get a goodie bag, check it before you leave! There was a coupon I could've used at check out in my bag, and I didn't see until after checkout.

Amazing experience!!! I hosted a two-part Bachelorette Experience here at Rock Barn and the service was extraordinary! We were catered throughout our stay and the lunch was well-prepared.

Really nice experience. I puchased the "Queen for a Day" package which included lunch, a drink, chocolate covered strawberries, spa amenities, and an 80 massage with hot stones and a foot scrub. When I arrived, I was greeted with champagne and taken to the ladies lounge which had a few complimentary amenities and plenty of towels. I was given a locker, complete with a robe, goodie bag, and flip flops. I was then given a brief tour of the facility by a sweet young lady named Macy. I arrived about 2.5 hours prior to my massge, which allowed me plenty if time to relax, check out the sauna, sit in the jacuzzi/whirlpool and order lunch. I was disappointed the steam room was out of order but everything else was great. I had chicken salad on a crossaint and ordered the "immune booster" for my drink. It was a delicious fresh juice. The staff was attentive, walking around with cold towels, water, and samples of smoothies and fresh cinnamon apples. I thoroughly enjoyed this service and the added "extras." My massage with Lidia was fantastic. She had the perfect touch that put me to sleep! I was sad when the massage ended. She then took me to a separate relaxation room with a few snacks and water. After my massage, I retrieved my items from my locker and headed to checkout. Even then, a nice member of the staff walked up and offered me a bottle of water to go. I appreciate all of the thoughtful touches throughout the day. I didn't check out the salt cave this time, and I will say the spa was pretty pricey. Definitely a splurge but it was a nice treat for myself.

Eeek. Overpriced, not super clean, and did I say overpriced? If you're looking for a spa experience near-ish to the Charlotte Metro Area, choose the Ballantyne Hotel & Spa instead. Trust me on this! The treatments are literally half the price and the facility is light years more luxurious. Rock Barn Spa used to be great. Unfortunately, they renovated during the pandemic, and raised their prices to compete, possibly (?) with the Omni's Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. The Grove Park is worth the money as the views from the resort alone over the Blue Ridge Mountains take your breath away. Rock Barn is situated in the middle of an outdated golf club community with a modest view of the course. Not bad; but not worthy of the $260+ prices for spa services. Speaking of those renovations, I can hardly tell that anything changed. They did add a second waterfall feature on the back of the original, which was most guests, favorite spot in the spa area. Also added a good bit more seating for guests to spread out which is nice. The food is fresh, but I wouldn't say it is anything special. The best thing I had at our spa day were the freshly pressed juices. I recommend the "drink your greens" and the "immunity booster" if you do find yourself at this day spa. We likely won't be running into each other though ;) as I'm not going back. I LOVE the spa at the Old Edwards Inn as well for those of you looking for a five star NC spa experience! I will give credit to the front desk employee who offered us a 10% discount on our services because we had specifically requested things that were not delivered upon. In that regard the customer service was professional and appreciated. I personally feel that an $800 day for 2 people which only included a 50 min massage, light lunch, and day pass for the spa is too high for what this facility offers. Wont be returning, but truly hope this information is helpful to someone checking it out.

After researching and calling around to different spas comparing day packages, The Spa at Rock Barn seemed like the most bang for our buck. The booking process over the phone was smooth and simple. They charged half of the total price upon booking, and the other half when we left the spa the day of our visit. We purchased the day pass for $200 a person which included a Salt Cave session, Spa lunch, Chocolate Covered Strawberries and two beverages with all day access to the pool, hot tubs, steam room and hot sauna. Upon arriving, the sign in process was quick and we were greeted with complimentary glasses of champagne. We were also provided with robes and unlimited towels to use that day. The spa also gave us goodie bags with a koozie, a scrunchie, toothpaste, a stress ball, and more! There were lockers to store our things and in the locker room there were complimentary supplies to take including cotton swabs, hairbrushes, deodorant, hairbows, make up wipes and even hair tools to use. We started with the Salt Cave session, which was relaxing, but we prefer the Himalayan Hideaway Salt Cave in Winston-Salem. One of the zero-gravity chairs in the room was broken, so our group ended up moving to the other side. In the main Hydrotherapy Circuit area, there was a big pool, a large hot tub with jets, two waterfall hot tubs, and a cold dip plunge. They also have a hot tub outside. For it to be a Friday, it was not busy at all. There were multiple times where our group of three were the only ones in the pool. We had no problem finding chairs inside or in the smaller outdoor area for sunbathing. All the staff were so nice and attentive. We were constantly offered samples of smoothies, ice cream, and snack mix. Watermelon slices, cool peppermint towels, and water refills were also constantly provided. The staff took our drink and food orders from anywhere, even when we were in the pool. Our absolute favorite part of our experience may have to be the underwater music in the pool. It was such a relaxing and surreal experience to float, listen to the relaxing instrumental tunes and look out of the windows on the ceiling. For her birthday, one of the members in our group got to choose a complimentary glass of champagne or a slice of cheesecake. All the alcoholic beverages we ordered did not take long to come out & were all so refreshing, flavorful and nice sizes! We were in awe at each dish we saw come out of the kitchen because they were all so big and looked so good. Two of us got the sous vide chicken sandwich which was so large and pretty good. It could have used a little more flavor and perhaps more sauce. The other member of our group got the chicken salad sandwich, which was great. The potato salad was just okay and the side salad with ranch was good. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone and hope to one day return!

This Spa was such an amazing experience. I've never spent a day at the spa but now I plan to do it once a year. The Queen for a Day package was a great value and gave you everything you need for a relaxing day. Lunch, dessert, Mimosa, 90 minute massage and access to the facilities. Sauna, steam room, pool, Jacuzzis and waterfalls. I loved it and they were very accommodating. Walked around with snacks and samples of smoothies. Very attentive and so knowledgeable. I highly recommend this spa and look forward to going back.

This is nothing short of amazing. We came here for my mothers birthday for the evening pass which includes access to hydrotherapy circuit only. We were treated so good. We got access to a locker room fully stocked with a sauna, steam room and showers. They have everything you need to get ready shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, blow dryer, hair bows, etc. They gave us an amazing tour and their was staff walking around in the hydrotherapy circuit area to take your order for food and or drinks. They serve a full food menu until 4 pm but then they have chicken salad still. I didn't even need a massage or facial I was so relaxed next time we will do a full day. Just imagine being in a room with so many water falls you can be under and water you can float in with relaxing music. Plus drinks I was in heaven. Can't wait to go back

We picked up the table and chairs immediately and closed the umbrella but didn't bother touching the germy dishes that fell off the table.
