The hosts are so accommodating, and really make you feel at home. The rooms all have a different theme, and each are appointed with antique furnishing and other neat decor. This visit we stayed in the Seaside room, and loved it. The breakfast is by far one of my favorite parts of the place! We stayed for 3 nights, and enjoyed different options each morning. We would always start with a small yogurt & fruit parfait sprinkled with some nuts on top. For our main entrees, we tried the lemon ricotta pancakes, 2 eggs with hash browns, and the shrimp & grits. All delicious! They also had these amazing biscuits served with butter and jam (to die for). We enjoyed every moment of our stay. They have a beautiful porch with rocking chairs to relax in the shade. Their lawn is like a golf course, and great to play croquet on. My daughter and I did order a meal at the poolside bar/café and it was delicious! Our order-taker was Cameron and he was helpful in making sure I avoided onion-stuff. A Historical single-family home in the planned section of historical downtown Columbus, GA. House…read morebuilt in early 1800's was divided into apartments, offices, then went into total disrepair. Current owner, Brian Luedtke saw a gem worth saving and completely restored the home that was close to being destroyed. Luedtke did all the work himself, tediously making molds to restore art details and furnishing with period antiques over a 15 year restoration. What a gift to Columbus history!
