It did not work well on the way home (bluetooth connection) and so I investigated further. It was unable to read my SIM card. I took it back to the repair shop and they denied any responsibility and stated it could not be fixed. This is the first time I have ever taken something in to be fixed somewhere and had it come back to me worse than it was before.

After 6 weeks I called them and they said they thought it was done and they'd call me back in 5 minutes. They never called back. I called the next day and they said it was ready. Horrible communication. When I picked it up the TV was sitting on the floor, stacked in a pile, like all the rest of the TVs everywhere. The tech dragged it a foot or two as I winced and then we picked it up and put it in the van. The TV was wrapped in plastic so I hoped that it would be fine. When I got home I noticed the bottom of the TV was not wrapped and that the whole bottom of the TV was destroyed from scratches. They had obviously dragged it many, many times. The owner said they don't drag TVs ever, to which I said I watched your employee do it once and the evidence shows it happened many times. He then hid behind his store policy that they don't cover scratches. Never again.

I called around town, and the only store that had a copy was That Old Retro Store. Lindsey said she'd have to check her stock, and she got back to me right away. The LP looked like it had never been played, and was $10. That really made my day! While there, I snagged a few more records, all priced reasonably and in near mint condition. This factory store sells power tools that have been reconditioned or sometimes even just items that were overstock. The prices are pretty great if you don't mind your power tool having a minor scuff or not coming in the original box. They also carry all of the accessories (brand new) and a few other things like Black and Decker and Porter Cable tools and accessories. On my first visit I was completely ignored. There were three guys behind the counter. One was briefly on the phone and another helping a customer with a repair for about the first two minutes I was in the store. I didn't get a "hello" or any sort of acknowledgement to see if I needed some help. As I had almost no clue what I was looking for I decided to snap a few pictures with my phone and go home to look things up online and compare to other stores. If this had been my only visit it would have been a two star review. After doing a little research I decided that this was the place to make the purchase. I came back with someone else who was actually going to be paying for my new toy. We looked around a little and actually found a different drill package than what we came in for. We asked the sales guy a few questions about it and for a little more info. This happened to be the last one and when we asked if there was any sort of a discount for it being the last one the sales guy immediately said "yes. No haggling, no back and forth, just a straight up "yes". At the register the guy took off 60 bucks! That was a 23% discount just because it was the last one on the shelf. The two trips were night and day. Going from completely ignored to an experience where we got lots of product information and a pretty hefty discount made a big difference. I'm giving this a 3-star average because of the bad first visit, but if I have another great visit soon when Dewalt's new batteries come out then I'll be sure to up this review in the future.

Christa seems to be posting a negative or only one star review based on a favouritism for a shop in INGLEWOOD as she exclaimed in her review. I'm sure I know of the shop she is talking about that had a repair shop in NE Calgary and closed down because of poor workmanship, customer experiences and very bad reviews online. They seemed to retreat back to Inglewood trying to shake the bad reviews. Christa J in her review is a bit confused on what she is able to do and understand about her hi-fi and is placing a bad judgment on Planet Hi-fi as I have had somewhat better experience with them as my friends had. Since I can get across the border and come back to Alberta I am bringing Will my High-End stereo goodies for him to restore them back to new condition.... See you in the summer Will
