Melinda (I hope I got her name right?) the owner is dripping with style and great taste. She looks like a fashion designer. Good news: you too can look like Melinda, because her racks are filled with tons of dresses, tops, pants and skirts...natural fabrics and so pretty. She also has eye wear...like REALLY COOL eye wear. Awesome home wares, too. And I bought a super special candle that will always bring me back to Hudson when I light it. Smells like fancy pine. Also! To impress me, a florist shop needs to exhibit creativity and display unique flowers & plants. All of which, Chatham Flowers going for them. we discussed what I was looking for, the price point, if a vase was to be included or not, and they went to work creating a beautiful bouquet with exactly the flowers I was hoping would be in the arrangement. The final arrangement was stunning, packed for travel and for presentation. I could not be happier with the final product. I did also buy a small bird to be nestled in the arrangement as well as a stunning heart for our fireplace mantle at home. In short, great find, talented people, unique inventory, customer focused, and a pleasure to do business with.

She offers to order books for you but then it's more convenient to order online and have the book delivered to me. If I use the time and energy to go to the store then I would expect them to have what I want in stock so I can bring it home and start reading it, not have to wait for days and then go back for it. It makes sense for a store owner to do their research and find out what's trending so the store can be stocked with relevant titles. The store stinks of cheap incense and moldy books that nobody wants which are littered about on the floor of the store and all up the back of the store so it's hard to move around and claustrophobic. You also can't return magazines if you decide that its not what you wanted. Do not recommend. This store is just another case of why businesses are going down the drain lately,they dont get anything in anyone wants and don't seem to care either. Buy local is a joke. I arrived within 40mins of receiving these messages only to be told they don't have what I ordered. Confused I showed the employee my email and text confirmation, he proceeded to say yes we got your online order we just don't have those products in stock. He tried to sell me something else. I left without purchasing anything. There are several other options in the area. Highly recommend staying away from here and head elsewhere.

After reading them, I feel compelled to add my experience, which was, and continues to be, very positive. A year or so ago, I picked up a nice original lithograph from The Second Show, but it needed new glass. I took it to Sketch, where Amy not only took care of that, but touched up the wood frame, advised against changing the mat, and the total cost was more than reasonable. Very personalized service and for that reason I go in to buy art cards and cute bags and art supplies for gifts, wanting to support them. She's been helpful when I had questions - today, looking for a chalkboard for a child. Even though they don't carry it, she gave a suggestion on where I could find it and, if not, she would order one for me. (I'm no longer from Montclair NJ!)
