They have a great variety of books available for sale and they don't seem to mind if you reading one while enjoying your coffee or cold brew. In the back they have a large space with art supplies; just about anything one would need to get started and beyond. My mom purchased a few paint brushes and I purchased a round of beers for our group. Pricing is quite affordable - craft beer was $6.48 each and my mom's Saranac soda was $2.78. The store is immaculately kept and the restroom was clean. We had a great time while visiting the area and would come back again next time we're in town.

There are problems, no workable turntable to hear the records. And even when I asked if they could play the records on their turntable behind the front desk it did not work. They also have quite a good classical section. The prices are a little bit on the steep side for a store in such a remote location. But considering there are three or four other stores nearby the prices are fair. And, they have a bunch of cool junk to look at in the store! I went back today. The owner was there, not a very agreeable fellow. Apparently the turntable works now, and he agreed to play me a record even though he said he usually doesn't. A record store they refused to play records to check for condition is basically worthless. You have a shit ton of these records, you should be more than willing to play a few cuts from records up to five records. This is what we always do to jazz record center. It's just basic common decency. I did find a good used miles Davis record that I never seen before.

Just everything under the sun, and they all seem very fairly priced. My son found a number of great kids books, I found a book on Mission style furniture making, and my wife found a number of novels she was interested in. My mom has randomly asked me if I knew a used bookstore with old vet manuals (like for cows, etc) and I happened to walk by this place a couple days later, so I popped in. I found several OLD (1904-ish) farm vet type books. Upon checking out, I told the owner how thrilled I was to find them, and he recommended I go upstairs, second door, second shelf from the top, closest to the window.... he knows every book in the place! And word is he has another warehouse full of books!! They're only open 11-5 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so I plan to go back at 10:59 with snacks and stay the duration.
