    Snowball

This place is a locals favorite. I've been a patron along with my children, for over 7 years. Every flavor is top of the line. The texture of the snowball is ideal where it doesn't melt in seconds like Hawaiian ice and it also doesn't feel like you are crunching on chunks of ice. The classic egg custard is the best version of the flavor I've ever had. They pay attention to every detail from the way they artistically craft each specialty snowball to the generous amount they give you (if you choose to get it 'built up' which I highly recommend)! Besides the long line which should be expected due to the size of the joint, you won't be disappointed!

The best hidden gem near OCMD! We have been going here for years and it never changes. Service is always good, portions are insane, and there are so many flavors to choose from.

Unicorn shaved ice! Cotton candy, marshmallow creme and their suggested flavors. Very happy camper!

Love this stand. Friendly service and all a place where you feel they're giving you great "bang" for your buck. I ordered ice cream bottom, banana, coconut, mango with sweet cream on top. Delicious! Then my daughter ordered their unicorn! Both of us were happy! We'll be going back a couple more times before we leave!

My fiancé and I LOVE snowballs! We recently moved to Salisbury from Pennsylvania and this place is one of the best snowball stands we've found. Plenty of flavors, and incredibly reasonably priced! Go for ANY flavor that sounds good with marshmallow in the middle- you won't be disappointed!

Very cheap and affordable, very sweet and very good with lots of different options. I recommend the pina colada or the creamsicle.

So many flavors and so cheap! Don't be turned off by the line, it moves pretty quickly and definitely worth it.

My whole family looked forward to going there every year on our way to Assateague. But it's closed now! We went by today and it's been replaced by the most depressing business ever -- build your own cookie. Who wants a cookie on your way to the beach?? Snowballs. People want snowballs. You don't want to be covered in melting chocolate when the Assateague ponies make a run for it. Hoping that Cool Runnings reopens somewhere else -- it was a gem.

Owned and run by Ms. Kim and her sweet goddaughter, the hubs and I were super excited to run into this place while we were in OC. It was super hot, so we wanted to cool down with a Snoball - we chose half lemon-lime, and half blue raspberry - this was absolutely refreshing and delicious! Not too sweet, and the syrup tasted like it was homemade and it was just the right amount to flavor the ice! If those flavors aren't your thing - no worries! They have a chalkboard that lists an overwhelming number of flavor choices! We also noticed some ice cream made from a local farm, so we purchased 3 tubs to-go (which ended up being super delicious!). There is even a little 'beach' area where you can sit down and enjoy your cold treats. This dessert conquered my childhood, and also my older cousin's marriage prospects…read more Let me tell you something about loyalty: I have always ridden hard for Rita's. Creamy custard layered with fruity Italian Ice? That's the kind of combo that deserves to be in the Frozen Dessert Hall of Fame. Now, let's rewind to the early days: my older cousin Jamie (who lived in Fort Myers, FL) started dating the son of the CEO and Founder of Rita's Italian Ice; I'm talking the legal heir to the Rita's empire! But, plot twist: Jamie, in true fearless queen fashion, dumped him. Yes. My cousin BROKE UP with the future 'King of Frozen Dessert'. Her mom, my Aunt Barbara? Let's just say she was way less than thrilled. She really, really let Jamie have it. I mean, would you break up with frozen dessert royalty? *Deep Sigh* I digress. The real star at Rita's the 'Gelati': that luxurious swirl of thick, smooth custard and bright, tangy Italian Ice. When I first started going to Rita's decades ago, the only custard flavor was good ol' vanilla. And the Ice options? Maybe six total. Now? There are over a dozen custard flavors and upwards of 30 Italian Ice flavors. It's a full-on frosty wonderland! Earlier this week I was in Ocean City with my family. Shockingly, no one - not even my own son - had ever tried Rita's. I have always been so confident in its magic that I said "If it's not the most satisfying frozen dessert you've ever had, I'll give you $20 on the spot." (Spoiler alert: I didn't have to give anyone a damn cent, because they all fell instantly in love with it.) *Satisfying Sigh* I was standing beachside: Rita's famously long plastic spoon in one hand and my 5 Layer Mango/Vanilla Gelati in the other. I was instantly transported back to high school, and the simpler days of Jamie's doomed dessert dynasty romance. Rita's still slaps. Rita's still reigns. And, as for my cousin Jamie? She may have dumped the Prince, but I'm still loyal to the Rita's kingdom!

Went with the gelati and was not disappointed with the mix of Italian ice and frozen custard. Good…read moreparking for a spot 2 blocks from the beach.
