everything bagel with egg and bacon
    Sarah K.

Came here after a run and ordered 2 small iced americanos, a smoked salmon special, chive cream cheese, and egg and bacon all on everything bagel. the menu did not say how much the smoked salmon special would be but i did not think it would be nearly $20. It does not look like it would cost that much and was no where near the quality of a $20 bagel. the egg and bacon was nearly $10 and super super dry from the egg and way overcooked bacon. as for the bagel with just cream cheese, they did not put nearly enough cream cheese making it also very dry. you may have to specify if you want it toasted because they did not toast it making it even more soggy and dry. SUPER disappointing. On top of that, after order nearly $50 worth of food i asked for a cup of water because i was drenched in sweat from running in the heat and they denied me saying they do not offer free water and you have to purchase a water bottle. Seriously? I understand not wanting to give out water to anybody that comes by but as a customer and a restaurant on the boardwalk they should offer free water. the black iced coffee was super super bitter and not good in any way. coffee quality is below average here. I was shocked to see the salmon bagel price above all and when i double checked with the cashier she just gave me a look like yeah that's how much it costs. if you look at the menu it does not state the price either. i wanted to cancel the order after that but it felt too late. people here not very friendly and quality of coffee and bagels are not good. the store front is called "coffee and bagels" ....

Customer service - 5 out of 5 Wait time - 5 out of 5 Cleanliness - 5 out of 5 Atmosphere - 5 out of 5 Food quality - 2 out of 5 I've read that Love's Lemonade has been voted OC's best funnel cakes, so naturally I wanted to give it a try. Now, I'll be honest, I've only had a funnel cake once in my life and it was at a carnival over 15 years ago. So saying that, I don't really know what a funnel cake is supposed to taste like. I ordered the Red Velvet funnel cake with cream cheese icing. The cake was $14 and the cream cheese icing was an additional $4, which I was not aware of. I'm sure it was listed somewhere, I just didn't think to look when the cashier recommended I get the icing. The funnel cake was extremely crispy and lacking flavor. I asked my wife if its supposed to be crispy and she said it's supposed to be warm and doughy with slight crispy edges. Mine was crispy throughout. Honestly if the dessert didn't cost over $19 after tax, I would've tossed it. Way overpriced for an over-fried funnel cake. Also $4 for icing is insane. Customer service was good & wait time was quick. This location was clean which was nice. Overall verdict - I will not go as far as saying that I do not recommend this place, because I'm sure it was just an off night. I will say that I do not recommend the red velvet funnel cake because it lacked flavor. Also seeing as how cream cheese icing goes hand in hand with red velvet, just know that it's an additional $4, making your $14 cake become $18 (over $19 after tax) Although Love's Lemonade has a lot more to offer, I will most likely not return to try anything else. There are way too many other options on the boardwalk. If you want to keep customers coming back, be more consistent with the food quality and lower your prices. Inflation should not mean that 2 tablespoons of icing is $4

Quick service with a nice patio view. Clean restrooms and large, fresh drinks that aren't too pricey. Great spot for a relaxed outing!

This was my second time in OC and my first time visiting Loves. Highly highly recommend visiting this small business. Super friendly and didn't have to wait long for my order. Keep up the great work

    Fried Oreos!
    Andrew H.

Lovely fried Oreos. Six to an order for $7, which is a little pricey but in line with the rest of the boardwalk. The Oreos were freshly fried and came out after a 5 min wait, dusted with powdered sugar. They weren't overdone and had a nice bite to them. They also have fried red velvet cheesecake, fried pickles and more. Would have tried some other stuff but the Oreo order was probably enough calories for a meal :)

This is the best funnel cake I've ever had I mean It's right up there with my number one funnel cake which is at the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk! So good I almost forgot to take a pic before it was gone. This funnel cake was more like a funnel pie because it was so thick not like those thin one layer things. I have never had such a thick layered funnel cake and now I feel like I can never have a normal one layer thin funnel cake again. The strawberry topping was Avery sweet of course but it wasn't overpowering because there was a good ratio of topping to funnel cake dough. I also ordered a fresh lemonade which I only ended up drinking one sip of. The lemonade tasted like straight sugar I get lemonade needs sugar but it was too much for me at the time. Just wasn't the right thing to wash down the funnel cake with but would probably be good if it was the only sugary thing I was ordering.

Extra hard ultimate funnel cake :(

Both times I have ordered from here, the funnel cake was hard. Very unpleasant to try and eat an extremely hard funnel cake.

Best lemonade on the boardwalk. Not super sweet like some others and the way they blend it gives the lemonade a smooth texture.

I usually can't tell and I think like many people, we love ice cream to like ice cream. The flavors here tend to be more mainstream but they have a big variety and with so many flavors. there are usually a few that might be at least slightly unique. With the community and the crowds that typically pass through here, I don't think you need to be too experimental. Because people love the beach there might be a super foodie who likes such and such a flavor. There is also so much ice cream competition here. Some of those places have more of a name and a more prime location even, and their quality might even be less but they can actually charge a little bit more. I got a chance to try cinnamon churro, cake walk, bourbon on the rocks. The churro has a good amount of cinnamon but not too much, the bourbon definitely had a bourbon's taste that was enhanced with the sweetness but you didn't feel like you were getting drunk on it either, The cake walk reminded the staffer of eclairs which I could see and I was thinking maybe a well done cannoli cake (without the cannoli chips.). There are some milk shakes here and I wasn't an expert on if they were anything of particular quality but it looked like stainless steel to me which tends to be of a very durable quality in nature to my knowledge. They do offer soft serve as well and I am not sure if it is typical vanilla and chocolate or if they try to change it up etc. There was a change in the music to play euro techno music and it got some people dancing while they were waiting in line. I don't know if this was at one time, once in awhile, or if this is typically done. There are nice decorations that cater to mainstream and family crowds such as Star Wars, ninja turtles, and other things I am not thinking of at the moment, and also some personalization with meanings behind them such as a picture from what the store was before I believe and another one of when the former show Man versus Food featured the place. There was apparently an incident one time where a random person stole the tip jar from this place. The video of this person was posted on social media and people from across the country even in the west coast were appalled at this kind of behavior. Apparently, the culprit was caught eventually. What was a loss of around $100 or more for those respective employees at the time organically became a local shop in the community that you cared about more. People wanted to give more in tips immediately after the incident and they also did some tips electronically. How did I get all this information? Am I just this good of a reviewer? Well maybe in an indirect sense this time around. One of the staffers wanted to talk my head off and share with me and I was very happy to listen this time around. After a long hard day at work, this person was tired but wanted to respect the hours of the shop. It was getting late and I was the last person for that day of the shop. There was an opportunity for me to appreciate the type of authenticity that I don't typically get to encounter -but desire -in any space I am involved in.

Why? I truly cannot explain it. But this year? Birthday trip. Solo adventure. No one to stop me from making questionable (but ultimately excellent) life decisions. And that's how I ended up at Dumser's at 5pm on a random March Saturday, fully prepared to eat a gigantic ice cream sundae for dinner. Because I do what I want. I walked in and found a few people happily enjoying their ice cream, keeping things low-key and wholesome...while I approached the counter with a plan to absolutely disrupt the peace. I had my eye on the Peanut Butter Supreme Super Sundae -- three dips of peanut butter fudge ice cream topped with peanut butter topping, hot fudge, Reese's Pieces, whipped cream, and a cherry. A masterpiece. A commitment. A lifestyle choice. My original plan was to order it with just one scoop, pretending to be reasonable. I explained my plan to the very kind gentleman behind the counter, and he gently said, "We can do that, but it'll be almost the same price as the full Super Sundae...we do have lids. Do you have access to a freezer?" Sir. That was all the encouragement I needed. Upgrade me. Immediately. I handed over $13.05 and braced myself for greatness. Moments later, I was holding what can only be described as a mixing bowl-sized sundae, and I have never felt more aligned with my life choices. I found a table, sat down, and dug in with zero hesitation. And let me tell you -- this thing was not just big, it was GOOD. The peanut butter fudge ice cream was rich and creamy, the toppings were generous (shoutout to that employee for not holding back), and every bite felt like a reward for finally making it into Dumser's after literal decades of driving past it. I made it through two scoops and most of the toppings before I had to admit temporary defeat. I returned to the counter, humbled but determined, and asked for a lid. There was absolutely no chance I was letting the rest of that masterpiece go to waste. After a quick break, a little walk, and some fresh ocean air, I finished the rest while watching the sunset just a few blocks away -- which, honestly, felt like the most perfect ending to the most unhinged and delightful dinner choice I've made in a while. I'm slightly embarrassed it took me this long to finally try Dumser's...because WOW, I've been missing out since childhood. Safe to say, this is now a mandatory stop every time I'm in Ocean City from here on out!

First time ever trying Turkish food but it won't be my last!…read moreWe were greeted by the wonderful bakery owner and her son. Her shop was well stocked with eye catching Turkish delights. We had lots of questions about most of the items as we have never had any Turkish foods before. VERY HELPFUL! Explained everything with great detail and was more than happy to do so. We decided on the Turkish bagel (Simit) and the Ginger Lime Cane beverage along with two different kinds of baklava! One walnut and one pistachio. The drink was very refreshing as the only ingredients were lime, ginger root, and pure sugar cane! All pressed in a special machine. It was sweet but that's pure sugar cane for you! The simit was toasted up and tasted like sesame seed goodness! The baklava was delicious and sticky gooeyness. I enjoyed the walnut more than the traditional pistachio. Though it too was yummy! So many other Turkish goodies to try! She also had other Turkish desserts including the mini cakes and pastries. We will be back as this place has earned a spot on my GO TO list for Ocean City.
