This is one of my favorite sandwich places to eat. I am genuinely impressed with the service as…read morethey can be swamped and the team tries their best to keep up with the line. 1. They let you try really anything to make sure you'll like it. A good example is truffle cream, but even the cheeses. 2. They try and get ahead of the line. By that I mean while they are making sandwiches they reach out to get the next order, and I'm always impressed that they remember the order. If they don't, or are not confident they do follow up. 3. Lexi and Sam today were amazing handling sandwiches and the customers with grace and kindness. They made us feel like we were special and again didn't make us feel rushed. 4. Additionally, I have an allergy and Lexi was completely understanding. She not only switched gloves but she made my sandwich in a completely different area to make sure nothing was cross contaminated. 5. I have never been disappointed in a sandwich I have gotten here. "Negatives" it should be said that the sandwiches are on the expensive side. Especially if you add anything extra. Which is why I tend to come here as a treat, a friend is in town, or if someone hasn't tried this place before. Surprisingly the sandwiches are big and it can be tough to finish the full sandwich in one sitting, but also that can be dinner or lunch tomorrow. As far as I know I haven't found a free parking area, so you do have to pay for parking.

All three people behind the counter greeted me enthusiastically and with big smiles when I walked in. I perused the menu and opted for La Toscana. While I was waiting, I was enticed by the beautiful display of delicious and fresh ingredients in the display case. Every sandwich is made to order, but they worked very quickly so I didn't have to wait long. Overall the sandwich was excellent. In particular the Truffle Honey really took it over the top in terms of great flavors. I did feel that the focaccia was a bit too crispy, at least to my taste. I'm not sure if this was a one-off issue or if this is how they always make the bread. I would have preferred the focaccia to be quite a bit softer, but maybe that's just my personal preference. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, but it was a very hot day so I stayed inside with the air conditioning. The place is really clean with some nice decor. The experience was really good, and I would certainly recommend this as a great sandwich shop with excellent Italian ingredients. I'll just hope for softer focaccia next time.

Strangely, those cars don't move for hours, so who are these motorists? Parking tends to be notoriously tough for any business in the Belmont area, so be prepared. The food is okay, not the five-star affair everyone claims, but good enough. After hiking several miles from my parking spot to reach this elusive deli, I've had several sandwiches over the years. They aren't bad, but they don't wow me either. The deli certainly slices their meats and cheeses fresh on the spot. But even that doesn't take the sandwiches to the pinnacle of sandwichhood. And my goodness, those booths have the most uncomfortable wooden backing at the most atrocious angle! You'll notice if you sit in a booth, and you might need back surgery afterward. It's still a place worth visiting, especially if you're a Belmont student and are able to walk over.
