Went today with a group of girlfriends (6 of us) to spend the morning and get services. The…read morecustomer service was subpar at best unfortunately and the scalp detox wasnt anything special in the moment. I will see how my hair feels in the days coming and update accordingly. As to customer service, prior to coming (day or two before) I recieved a text message that my service is set for 2pm and to complete an intake form (which I did). When I arrived I was advised my service wasnt until 245 but everyone else in my group would be at 2. I asked why I recieved a text that my service was at 2 and they said we'll you can enjoy the lounge. I said well I am paying an extra fee to be able to use the lounge so I dont quite know how that is a response. Again I asked why was I sent a message that my service was at 2 when it isn't. They said they didn't know. I asked why I wasn't contacted to let me know I would be 45 minutes after everyone and for me to consider a different service. I was again provided no response and instead they attempted to blame the friend that book all of us (when she in fact was never told I would be delayed). I ended up going in at 2:51 (took a screenshot of my phone showing the time) as my friends were coming out and starting to hang out. They acted as if I was wrong for being a bit annoyed and offered no options or even apologies. Then when we went to check out they added in a 20% gratuity to each or our bills even though we were separate and didn't even tell 3 of the girls in our group that they did so and ended up getting way more of a tip than was reasonable even for exceptional service. The lounge is cute. But with the customer service, lack of communication, and overcharging people on a tip we will definitely not be back. Photo of text telling me my appt is at 2 and screenshot of time when I actually went in.

While Sweet Mia doesn't have dry pedicures, it was a great compromise. They use individual copper bowls for each customer that are removed and thoroughly cleaned with alcohol and barbicide. The salon itself is clean and soothing, with thoughtful textures (e.g., woven baskets and lampshades, plants, and other wood elements). Instead of the usual bulky massage chairs, they have comfortable reclining seats. My classic pedicure included a massage with hot stones and towel wraps.

Well I went back today and wound up with the same woman... I have never felt more UNWELCOME in a place. She was once again incredibly rude and this time did not do quality work. I asked for rounded nails, and she gave me very square, CROOKED nails. Also, it's tricky to pick a polish because they don't have swatches of the colors. The color I chose did not look like the color on the bottle, I hate it, but I was terrified to say anything because the woman was so rude. I held back tears because I felt so uncomfortable and frustrated. The woman who came and sat beside me even asked my nail tech why she was so serious. You could literally feel the animosity radiating off of my nail tech. Paying such a high price for such a bad experience makes me sick to my stomach. If you are a friendly person that doesn't want to pay to be treated badly, I do not recommend.
