I normally use the shipping store for shipping packages and I've never had a bad experience until today. I drove 30 mins here for a rude employee to tell me "they're closed" an hour before their posted closing time. I arrived at 1:01 and they decided to close at 1 today and wouldn't help me even though I was standing at their door. People were planning on 2pm today and changing hours last minute is bad business. read more

Poor customer service. Female clerk refused to allow me to use a preprinted UPS label to return a package. Clerk told me to print another copy of the label in the store and pay printing cost. I refused to pay for another copy of the preprinted label. I shipped the package from another store without cost. read more

Just a huge warning. This facility has the WORST customer service. Woman who took my time sensitive UPS next day air envelop was the least professional person I've ever met!!! When I dropped the envelope off yesterday when they opened she yelled at me to just leave omit on the counter. When I tried tracking it today it showed that it was dropped off at a UPS retail in Waldorf?! UPS told me to call the store which I did and from the moment she picked up the phone she was nasty and belligerent and hung up on me. I drove over and she refused to help me find out what happened to my nextday air! I was on the phone with UPS at the time as well and another woman in the store and got the pick up manifest. I should've gone to Staples and I will NEVER again go to the Shipping Store in Wildwood. Amazed anyone would deal with them. read more

The customer service is garbage!! Went there to drop off a return package and the big girl behind the counter started yelling at me and telling to drop it off at the counter. I read some of the reviews on here and clearly I'm not the only one to have this issue. I even read a review about how rude the owner was, so clearly the ownership gives no craps. I have never left a bad review about anything before but the shipping store's owner was very rude and disrespectful so I decided to leave a review so he can learn the lesson. I went there to pick up my ups pkg and the owner assumed someone else's package was mine and threw at me saying that the name didn't match so I could not pick it up. I told him it's not my package and don't throw the box like that. I told him you should not treat the customer like this, assuming, no double checking, throwing the box to the customer!! He apologized but I don't think I want to go to that place EVER again. read more

We went in the first time to pay for the notary service. Even though we had called twice beforehand to make sure the notary was there and available, he still wouldn't do our paperwork. No apology no explanation just wouldn't do it. A week later I decided to go back to try and give the place the benefit of the doubt. I tried to mail a FedEx package. The employees seem less than interested in doing their jobs and couldn't be bothered to use basic customer service. Maybe it's the time of the year and they are overwhelmed with people's demands, but I doubt it. We won't be back. read more

This place suck if you are trying to get something notarized. The notary is never there. The shipping sucks as well. The staff is not well informed. One guy told my I couldn't purchase 2 envelopes and Mail one with the other with pre purchased shipping. I just received one like that in the mail from the bank but he told me I couldn't do it. read more

I have been using The Shipping Store in California, MD for several years. The customer service has ALWAYS been wonderful and helpful. I regularly ship to locations outside of the U.S. (as well as inside the U.S.) and they work through the issues with finding addresses to these locations. I realize that many of the reviews here are negative and, while I tease that staff that they are "Satan" according to Yelp, in truth, they are wonderful which keeps me coming back to this store. I recognize that others have different experiences which explains the 31 flavours at Baskin Robbins but my "flavour" at The Shipping Store has been exceedingly positive. read more

This place is absolutely horrible. This is my second time here and the first time the package mysteriously disappeared. So today, I came in with a package for FedEx and I already have a label on it and I set it on the counter and the girl said have a nice day without even looking at me. I asked if I can get something with verification stating that they had it and it was dropped off (or scanned in or SOMETHING) and she looked up at me rudely stated "um no, take a picture with your phone that's what the tracking number on the label is for." I could not believe the rudeness that I had just encountered. This is an expensive piece of equipment and I need to make sure it gets back to who it needs to go to. So if anything happens with this package I recorded it on my phone with date and time and I will be getting the police involved since my last package that ALSO had a tracking number on it never left the store and never got delivered to where it needed to go. read more

I'm at the shipping store and dropping off a ton of packages. And I don't know why I'm surprised at all because it's like this every time, but wow. These people act like they are dead. I come in smiling asking where they would like me to put my nearly 50 packages. I get a blank look and then a mumble response with a lazy point toward a random corner. So I start bringing things in. Takes me 4 trips because of how many there are and no one even looks my way or asks if I need help. Then I ask if they want a scan sheet (basically a barcode that lets USPS check all 50 packages in with a single scan). And one guy looks at me blank and then shrugs and says no. The other chick, at the same time as the "no", says "yeah". Which is it???? This place is great because I can take all post carriers here but jeez people. Act like you're actually alive. It's not that bad. This is why I only come here if I have a LOT of packages. I wish I could give this 0 stars. read more

Stay away from this store. They do not know how to pack a box properly.Things were loose in the box. They use next to no packing peanuts or bubble wrap.Charged a lot of money.They we're rude and dismissive when I complained. I've been packing items all my life.This store doesn't know how to pack and protect your item!!! A 2 year old could do a better job. There customer service sucks and in a service oriented business they need to learn a better work ethic. You never know what your going to get when you walk in, (Could be a good day or a bad one), depending on what "broom" folks came in on that day. So since my interactions with this business over time has been fairly negative, I've decided I would not return to this store at all. Most of the time I've come into this store it seems there are attitudes.
