Did a Yelp search and found Craig's reviews and gave him a call. I live 20 minutes away, so it was just a matter of packing my knives into a knife roll and dropping them off. (If Craig is in the shop, he'll sharpen while you wait, but he wasn't so I left them and got a call when they were done.) I am beyond pleased. I don't remember the last time my knives were this sharp. He removed a notch in my beloved cleaver. I brought him ALL my knives, 9 in total, and at $6/blade the price was right! He also will take your knives by mail (see his website), so you don't need to be in driving range to receive his excellent service. Check him out. Give him your knives. You won't be sorry!

Prior to writing a service ticket, the gentleman who helped me, first took the compressor to an electrical outlet. He turned the knobs and the release switch at the bottom of the unit. Then he started it. Magic, it turned on right away. I had let someone else use my compressor and they had made adjustments to the knobs without my knowledge. Once everything was set correctly, the machine started. Apparently, the tank was already full (that's why it wouldn't come on). Once some of the air was released and there was room, the machine came on. I had to drive 1/2 an hour to get my equipment serviced so it was really nice that I didn't have to leave it and make a return trip to pick it up. They could have just written a ticket and had me leave it but they did a preliminary check first. I learned something new about my compressor and they saved me money and time by fixing my problem in a few minutes. I highly recommend this business for their integrity and customer service. I will definitely return.

I asked them if they had a copy of it and their system doesn't allow for a duplicate. the guy showed me the book they are written in and it showed both original white copy and the duplicate yellow copy used as an original too. he basically said I was out of luck. didn't they have to ring that 100.00 cash into the register as a gift certicate? wouldn't the bookkeeper find the 100.00 difference in the books if it wasn't rung up. Anyway I guess we donated the 100.00 to their Christmas. Leslie Wilcox

I couldn't even cut an apple anymore. He put in some serious work and got them to where they should be and even better. I never thought I'd enjoy cutting with the Chicago cutlery as much as I enjoy the Japanese knives but that's how nicely he made them! I also got some great advice on upkeep, including adjusting some of my cutting habits and knife storage. Everything was returned nicely wrapped and in a timely manner ! I once took knives to a guy at the local farmers market who ran his business out of his truck and it was terrible. He did his work with a bench grinder and made a mess out of the cutting edge! Brought him 5 knives of various pedigree, 2 that were at least 40 years old but I use all the time, a favorite pocket knife that I could never get sharp and a couple newer ones.
