Custom drapery experience was a total nightmare and do NOT recommend using them. My drapes came too short then way too long. Then they didn't have the appropriate tools. This place charges multiples of what shades cost at other similar providers. They are not worth the money. Simple components break and can't be easily replaced, customer service is extremely slow and unresponsive, and staff in the local West Palm Beach store are useless. Horrific customer service. I spent over 50k for drapes and have had issues with installation (dramatically incorrect installation time requiring 2 installations, a broken rod delivery, and a roman shade that was supposed to motorized and was not. My 15 foot drapes ordered in December, delivered in February, are still laying on my floor the first week of May. Everyone passes the buck in customer service. I'm going to have to reverse the charge with American Express to get anyone to respond. Don't bother with them they are more trouble than they are worth. read more

We went to this store at The Square WPB, last week (August 30, 2022) The salesman at The Shade Store was politely rude to us and when we stated that we were looking for covering options and wanted to get an estimate for our sliding door, he responded with such an attitude that the cheapest curtains cost at least $8000 and up ( he gave us the feeling that he wanted us to leave), and suggested right away that we can take samples to go home and do everything online, definitely his attitude made us feel unwelcome at this store. He clearly didn't want to spent his time on us. He never asked us for our doors measurements or what kind of fabric or coverings we had on mind and never really showed real interest in working with us. We didn't leave, we stayed and wanted an estimate so we continued roaming the store checking what options they had to offer and continue asking about fabrics. Once again he wanted to get rid of us (maybe we didn't have the right look, maybe he thinks we can not afford their products, because he gave us that attitude all the time). Finally, we gave him the measurements and material/fabric and gave us an approximately how much will cost what we were looking for (it was approx. half of the price he originally told us ). He never offered an appointment for in home measurement, to follow up or asked our information even though we were interested. So we are still in the market for window treatments.... read more

I recently spent almost $45k at the shade store. I have used the shade store in 3 previous design jobs and always had a positive experience. This time around has been a nightmare. I was misinformed about products, had many mistakes in my order, things were measured incorrectly, and I have had significant delays in the master bedroom drapery which is delaying my move in date. I continue to be told conflicting information on when these drapes will be ready. The track was the wrong size, wrong opening direction etc etc. One of their installers drilled a hole in the wrong location of a window and then just left the visible drill hole there without fixing it. And they have TERRIBLE customer service. Everyone passes the buck, people don't call you back, it's hard to reach a live person to resolve anything. If it couldn't get any worse, they offered me free installation on a shade for all their mistakes and then charged me for the installation after offering to comp me. It took 5 phone calls and multiple emails to resolve this and they finally comped me the install charge. I quite literally have never experienced such bad customer service. On our way out of Restoration Hardware we stumbled upon this store and we are so glad we did. This small little store which doesn't look like it has much really sneaks up on you. The design of the store is so contemporary you won't believe the amazing selection of shades and drapes they have in stock available to brighten up your home. The employees are extremely helpful and they give you the utmost attention without pressuring you into making a decision immediately. Now in the case of drapes as we already have shades it is not an easy decision and we were able to take a few samples home with us in order to make our final decision. Also available is a home visit where they measure what you require and than you can make a follow up visit to finalize everything. The manager also assured us along with the quality they are very reasonable and competitive on their pricing model which is always a plus. read more

The organization seems to be about the best in the business throughout the country (given the reviews). This particular narrative is to salute one of the best consultative sales people I've ever had the pleasure to work with: Anthony Spencely in the South Rosemary Ave. office. He met with me multiple times to hone-in on the results I was looking for (or thought I needed... I'm no interior designer). He studied all of the photos I provided (including architectural drawings), asked all of the right questions and evaluated my thought process with a blend of humor and context that was exemplary. He turned a head-scratching, onerous task into an informative, multi-dimensional, and entertaining experience. The results were superlative. We happened to see this store while at City Place and actually needed shades for two sliding glass doors. They have many different window covering options and plenty of fabric choices. We worked with Dina and she was great! We picked a few fabric samples and brought them home to see how they looked. I worked with Dina through email for the rest of the process and it was very quick and easy. She always got back to me immediately and helped with the many questions we had. Once we place our order we received the shades within two weeks as promised and they came nicely packaged. We ordered the roller shades with the motorized option which I think is a must. I am giving this store 5 starts only because of Crystal. The store itself is very nice and clean but Crystal is the standout. She was so nice and helpful and knows the products well. I took a piece of my broken shade and she had it matched within 5 minutes. I was in and out of the store within 15 minutes with a new shade ordered and an installation appointment. I received many e-mails from Crystal throughout the process and she was on top of everything. She e-mailed me several times even before I went into the store to look at the products. I cannot comment on the prices as I did not look elsewhere to compare costs. I was more impressed with the customer service so ordered what I needed on my first visit to the store. Crystal also followed up with an e-mail after installation to make sure everything went well and I was happy with the new shade. I highly recommend this store. read more

Terrific experience, thanks to The Shade Store! We visited multiple times for samples after samples and shopped them heavily online and with '3 day' competition. Well, there was no competition! We chose roller shades of light filtering and blackout mix. We have some wider spans that no one else could do in a single shade and a tricky 'bay window' that had the other guys stumped on how to do, the shade store team had it on lock. The Shade Store measure team showed up: 2 guys, lasers and tapes with an ipad for fully integrated notes and images, they left nothing to chance and measured for options we asked for. I then worked again with Jason Henry in sales across several revisions to get it just right. We absolutely received what we paid for, and it was money well spent complementing our investment. Everything shipped quickly and they had it installed within a few days, same 2 guys who measured for final install- which is always nice to have the same crew. They efficiently, quietly, and cleanly had all 10 shades hung in no time. I am so pleased I have already started working on another project with them and would absolutely recommend he Shade store, at least check them out before you think you can match quality with an online place.
