I've been visiting the H&WC for about 6 years and I try to go at least 2-3 times throughout the year - only because I read that it's bad to get alignments every month. Every visit is for a tune-up which includes a Swedish hands-on massage, acupuncture, cupping, heat therapy and an alignment. You walk in as tight and wound-up as possible and come out walking on clouds. D & S Holistic center is literally a hidden gem. From the outside, it just looks like a business center, the mysterious type that you can only see your reflection instead of the inside. I went in though and it looked like a doctor's office. Nice welcoming green couch and some chairs and a square window to talk to the employees through on the other side. I caught the director/owner there. His name is Delfi Monteagudo and he specializes in chiropractic treatment, acupuncture, massage therapy and nutrition. So this is not your run of the mill spa. They actually know what they're doing. He was so nice and gave me some pamphlets. They even hold seminars and workshops to teach on aromatherapy, Ayurveda, diets, herbs, etc. Mari, my massage therapists, came out after I had filled in some paperwork to make sure I had no alergies to oils and to find out what areas she needed to concentrate on. She took me into a room that was so nice. Dim lighting, comfortable massaging table with that little circle thing to put your head on. She gave me privacy to undress and once I was ready to go, she knocked and came in. She asked me through out the whole process, if the pressure was okay. She put on some background relaxing music, put some oil on her hands, and got to work. She massaged my neck, my back, my sides, then she went on to my legs and side buttox (hehe) and my feet. My favorite part was when she put these steaming hot towels on my back and pressed down and then rubbed off the oil. So good. The hole in the head pillow stand thingy (sorry for my lack on knowledge on this term lol) was probably a bad idea because I can guarantee I was drooling through my hour massage. Nevertheless, my hour was up and I got quickly dressed to rush to work. I've been in a trance ever since. So calm, and serene (which was the name of my room btw!). They have different tipes of massages ranging from Swedish Aromatherapy, Deep Muscular, Warm Stone, Reflexology, Thia, Shiatsu, etc. An hour message runs at about $100 and an hour and a half at $129. I recommend this place to everyone. The location and staff were so nice. I couldn't have asked for a better deal, and I still have one more massage left haha. Don't be jealous@!

I asked her why she was so hostile and in my face for a service i prepaid $150 for, and i advised that if it cut into my 90 minutes then so be it for him to set up properly. But that no one is Allowed up while i am not Home. I let her know her customer service was horrible for the fact that i was in my apartment at 938 and she's yelling and whining on the phone to me how i could do such a thing. She proceeded to hang up and cancel our appt. I then proceeded to text saying we don't mind if we lose 5 minute of our appt and she had already cancelled our appt and made the therapist leave due to her saying i have an attitude, i am entitled and immature. Entitled to the appt i paid for and waited a week for? Yes i am entitled to the service i paid for and was sitting in my apartment at 938 waiting for. Immature ? I was not the one who hung up on a client and then proceeded to rage text them about how they don't do business with people who have bad vibes and cancel An appt again that i paid for. Here's all the messages to review- yelpers don't waste your time going to someone who is foul, rude, and a horrible business manager and Owner. After years of searching for alternative treatments, I finally decided to try acupuncture. In all honesty, I was very skeptical. I am not a fan of needles, but living with pain at least 4 days a week every month is unbearable. So, after intense googling & web searching, I found Veronica's practice. I choose her office because it was nearby and her website shows that she specializes in women's issues. On my first visit, I was in pain and I was floored when my pain just vanished after one session. I considered that maybe it was all in my head, but after three months I am convinced that acupuncture has definitely alleviated my painful periods. It also helps that Veronica is such a wonderful & caring person. She really takes time to listen and ask questions that may or may not even pertain to your treatment. They informed me that it didn't matter what room they would give me because the noise was going to be traveling throughout the spa. I asked them to please ask the owner to be considerate and as expected the staff was hesitant to do so since he's the boss. It's completely understandable that they were afraid to ask him to lower his voice but they did it anyways. The staff was honestly great. After they asked him to keep it quite, the noise did get better and luckily I was able to enjoy the massage. Another reason I gave the spa 3 stars was because I was taken to the sauna but I was never given a locker to put my personal stuff so I had to carry my stuff back and forth. It was awkward.
