Just average. No special ambience. Menu was American style. Service was fast and friendly and my waitress kept my drinks refilled which I appreciated as I was thirsty from hiking. I ordered the fish fry, beer battered. The fish fry itself was good. Comes with soup or salad and a side. I had salad and French fries. The French fries were not fresh. They were not crispy and Luke warm, as if they were sitting out a bit. Not a horrible experience but I would try a different side, like mashed potatoes. We ate here while our Tesla was charging at the Supercharger located on the property. For us there are few vegetarian options on the menu other than salad. I give them points for making a variation on the Philly Steak and Cheese sandwich by omitting the meat and add some extra cheese. It came with a pickle spear and sweet potato fries. I don't cost $17.00 as did the Mediterranean Salad we got. It seems kind of spendy for a casino cafe. Service was really slow given how few other customers were there at that time. It took so long that we almost ran into "idle charger penalty" with a 40 minute charging session I increased to an hour by increasing the car's charging limit. Fortunately, there were enough open chargers we weren't risking inconveniencing anyone else needing to charge, but ended up buying more electricity than we needed top continue or trip. They should add a veggie burger option to their menu. A meatless soup option would also be appreciated. read more

After a long day of hiking, we were looking for a place to eat around the area. Unfortunately, there isn't much to choose from in this area unless you drive to Ellicottville which is about 20 minutes away. Seneca Cafe is located on the second floor of the Seneca Allegany Casino Hotel. This wouldn't have been my first choice for food but I was honestly pleasantly surprised! Ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and Philly Cheese Steak. Portions are huge for what you pay for $13 per item. My wrap was delicious and tasted fresh. Only complaint is I wouldn't say the buffalo chicken was actually buffalo chicken. It was just grilled chicken with sauce on top. But it still tasted good. I didn't get to try the Philly Cheese Steak but my fiancé said it was very good. We also ordered a slice of carrot cake to go and it was out of this world!!! Moist and not too sweet. The buttercream was to die for. Such an odd place for good cake but I would definitely come back and try them all. read more

It's not often that I flat out pan a restaurant. But that's what I'm doing here. We were at the casino for some MMA fights and stopped up to get some food because it's one of the only places we could go with a kid under 18. We opted for the late night buffet, two burgers, and then a brownie and ice cream dessert. If I'm being honest, I had pretty much forgotten what terrible restaurant food was like. We have some great restaurants that we go to and I kind of take that for granted. Poor choice. The late night buffet was utterly disappointing. Everything was barely warm, the fried food was all soggy, and you just felt like what the heck did I just drop nearly $20 dollars for? It's like putting $20 in a slot machine and not understanding how the machine works, so you end up spending all of it at once and not winning anything. The burgers were okay but not good enough to make up for the buffet. Then, the kid we were with wanted dessert and specifically asked if there were buts in it. He was told yes but it was no problem for them not to put nuts in. I stepped away from the table for a minute and came back to dessert eating in progress. I took one bite and was surprised to find it was full on nuts. I pointed out that there were nuts in it and the kid was like, "Ohhh, that's why my tongue is tingling." Fortunately his allergy is minor but it could have been serious. When I brought this to the waiter's attention, he told us that we could have filled out an allergy card. I was a little flabbergasted because I felt like if we said don't include nuts and he said okay we won't include nuts, that should be sufficient, especially since it didn't matter if there were small traces - he just couldn't eat big amounts. On the whole, I left feeling terrible - in part because I ate a bunch of terrible buffet food that probably wasn't even hot enough to meet health code standards, and in part because the kid who was carpooling with us needed to spend almost two hours in discomfort until we got him home. The style of food kinda feels like a diner and what we had was pretty good. I would say there is anthying really special about it accept that they seem to do simple food well. There was a buffet we chose not to take because it was all fried food and macaroni. A lot of people seemed to enjoy it though. My Reuben was meat and toasted well. My wife chicken parmesan was good but she questioned the freshness of the chicken. It was juicy and seasoned but she thought it had a refrigerator taste. read more

This restaurant suffers from the same syndrome as all the others at this casino resort : CAS. CAPTIVE AUDIENCE SYNDROME. It would NOT survive in a competitive environment. I got the "Two Of A Kind" breakfast. Two bacon two sausage two eggs two pancakes. The meats were AWFUL. And there is no blaming the cook. Management here buys the cheapest crap. The bacon was jerky like but drier. The sausage was to me inedible one egg was runny the other hard and the breakfast potatoes were hard and undercooked. I ate one pancake It was passable. Food is good but the service just for getting seated is the worst of any restaurant I have ever been. They have the person who seats you also get the drinks which is ridiculous. In the meantime the wait in line even when not busy is at least a half hour with 10 people in line. Of course no money is being spent gambling. Maybe that is a good thing! read more

Horrible experience. We stayed the night at the casino and needed a place to eat dinner because we had just spent the last 2 almost 3 he's in the pool. We went to the restaurant it was all around bad. Out wait to be seated was far too long for my liking. I'm not an overly impatient person and can understand if it's a very busy time but it wasn't and there were plenty of tables available. By the time we got seated it took a long time for our server to ask for our drink options. I am unsure if she was new or had a lot on her plate at the moment but she sure took her time. Since this was unusual for me I timed it from the time we arrived to the time out drinks came was 35 min. Mind you, there was no line when we arrived. Everyone ordered their drinks, I asked for water with lemon, I got water with ice. When I asked for the lemon it took 5 min before the young lady returned with the lemon at that point my water was gone and she didn't even offer to refill it. We ordered a fish fry, a soup, 2 orders of bbq rib tips with Mac and cheese, a chicken sandwich and french fries. The fish fry was over fried. Soup was lukewarm, the sandwich was not served with lettuce tomato a pickle mayo or mustard (and no the waitress didn't ask) and we assumed (won't be doing that again) it would come with at least something other than a piece of chicken breast on a piece of bread. The rib tips ... Ahhhhhhhhh those rib tips I don't even know where to start #1 they were pricey and the description had everyone salivating . When they were delivered to the table no one would have expected what we saw. It looked like slop on top of Mac and cheese, they immediately lost their appetite. This was not bbq rib tips, this was more like shredded beef stroganoff. Needless to say they didn't eat their dinner. The waitress never came to ask us how everything was and I had to flag her down for refills. My family was not happy with dinner. Now I haven't been there that often to have a better idea of the food and service, this was one time BUT it was a lasting memory of a poor experience. read more

If I could give this place a minus 5, I would. Arrived for breakfast, no line, great. Taken our our table, but was waiting for two others to arrive. Sat for a while, no acknowledgement. Waiting anyway, no big deal Finally I see a waitress s....l.....o....w.....l.....y walking in our direction...takes our coffee order fine. Others arrive, beverage order taken.....a while passes, brings beverage takes order...and we WAIT.........AND WAIT.......AND WAIT.....An HOUR passes, I have a timer to prove it. Most ordered the Seneca breakfast, I order a .........waffle........ At this point, no acknowledgement, more coffee, nothing. FINALLY...a woman who looks like a supervisor brings our food.......except my waffle......OH your waffle was ready before the rest....the WHIPPED CREAM MELTED, we had to remake it.....WHAT???? So now after an hour, table starts eating, which by the way food was just about cold, cold bacon and eggs...YUCK. My waffle finally arrives....warm and rubbery....had better at the local waffle house. What a joke. They have you as a captured audience because they know most people won't leave the casino to look for other restaurants...Not returning, but they won't miss my business. The Seneca Café is a nice change of pace from your run-of-the-mill restaurants in the area. Think of a classy version of Denny's. What is good at the Cafe is their friendly wait staff as well as their lunch and dinner menu items. Breakfast menu is nice, but homefries are bland, eggs seem powdered and sausage links taste like they are imported from Canada. we ate here 3 times mostly because we were stuck in the resort and for lack of other options dinner was ok, i had the roast turkey. my guy had steak which he didnt like. for breakfast, i had steak and eggs. with sausage and chocolate chip pancakes. the short order cook interpreted my request for eggs over easy as essentially raw eggs, which i didnt realize until i had cold raw yolk in my mouth. this happened on the last day we stayed, so if im ever at this place again ill prolly head to the mcdonalds across the street so i dont have to worry about massive salmonella poisoning read more

We had breakfast here after having a party at the Events Center associated with the casino. It was pretty solid and a good amount of food. It, however, was nothing to write home about. I can't say for the dinners though. It would have been nice to see a "signature" breakfast or something interesting. It's quite a lot more expensive than something such as IHOP or Perkins and I just don't see how it's any different. If it weren't part of the casino, this place would be an utter failure with the prices they charge. (It's worth about $2 less/plate, if it were on it's own). The staff was friendly, though a bit slow. It was quite busy though and it was a holiday, so perhaps on a normal day they'd be a bit faster. read more

I hadn't been here in a few years; at least not since they changed the name (and apparently the menu) from Three Sisters Cafe. I used to love the food. They had a lot of interesting Native American dishes like winter squash soup and three sisters salad. Now it's no different than the bland food that you get on the buffet at Golden Corral or at a hospital cafeteria. I ordered the beer battered fish fry. It wasn't bad, but it was coated with bread crumbs (NOT beer batter) and resembled a big Mrs Paul's fish stick. The mashed potatoes that came with it tasted like they came out of a box and the vegetables (summer squash and baby corn) were overcooked and mushy. The salad that came before the meal was all iceberg lettuce; a little bit of a pet peeve of mine since it's so easy to class it up with baby greens, romaine or any combination of the three. My friend ordered the shrimp scampi and I thought it looked pretty gross. It was in a thin, gray gravy instead of garlic butter like scampi should be. I asked her how it was and she made a face. My boyfriend liked his burger, but it's hard to screw up a burger. Honestly the best looking thing that they had was the desserts in the glass case. I think I would have been better off with a slice of cake or pie and a cup of coffee. I guess if you're staying at the casino and you don't want to spend the money at the upscale restaurants, don't have the appetite to eat at the buffet or don't want to leave the property, it's the only affordable alternative, although I see on the casino's website that they also have a quick-service,grab-and-go sort of place that I haven't checked out. read more

After a day at the casino we grabbed a bite to eat at the Seneca Cafe. We were seated in a nice comfortable booth. The menu is typical American fare: soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, and basic "comfort food" dinner items. I had a hot turkey sandwich with carved turkey breast & dressing served between 2 slices of bread, mashed potatoes, and everything covered in gravy. The portion was large and I could only eat a little more than half, but it was actually a very tasty meal - no complaints! My friend had a chicken Philly cheesesteak with fries that she said was also very good. This is only the second time I've been here - the food was very good both times, large portions, and the prices reasonable. The service both times was average. For both visits the servers took a long time to approach our table once we were seated. Nothing fancy, just good ole' comfort food. I will definitely continue to eat there when I visit the casino. read more

I enjoy the Seneca Cafe. The food is usually pretty good. The strip steak and mashed potatoes are excellent but the beef gravy is over -powering in taste. The side of fresh vegetables are cooked in too much oil for my taste. The side salad was very good. The coffee was awful - tasted like it was made from a heaping spoon of instant coffee. We ate breakfast there on a Sunday morning. The posters around the casino made it very appealing. The traditional American breakfast fare was lifeless but edible except the syrup was cold generic corn syrup, not pure maple syrup. That in turn made my pancakes cold soggy and tasteless. For the price I expected a few ounces of real maple syrup warmed up. What I was served was the equivalent to the $2.99 special at a truck stop. My wife ordered Huevos Rancheros. Being from San Diego she knows what Huevos Rancheros is and what was served was definitely not that. She was given a bowl of fried peppers, fried cheddar cheese, hash browns, and a couple eggs on top with some flour tortillas. No sauce. Like a garbage plate at a local diner. We thought maybe they got the order wrong but that wasn't the case. I don't normally complain but for $40 we could have eaten at Sprague's down the road and got a real breakfast. Sadly we will probably eat here again because it's the only game in town if you stay overnight and want to spend time at the casino. My wife and I stayed one night at the casino hotel on a get away for our anniversary. The on premise restarauntfood was average, casino fare so wasn't expecting much, service friendly but very slow. Wife had California cobb, didn't look anything like a cobb salad, looked as if it was pulled from a fridge versus made to order. I had wings and a side salad. Again, ok.
