    CANNON'S WALK.
    Theodosios C.

HISTORIC AREA: A major Tourist attraction which features Restaurants, Retail Shops and a Movie Theatre. The TIN BUILDING features Dining Venues along with a Marketplace. CANNON'S WALK is an area which preserves the old neighborhood. Once ate at a Restaurant, whose name I can't recall, at the SEAPORT prior to all the recent renovations. WORTH VISITING.

We walked by this area regularly during our trip as we headed down to IPIC, the laundry service, the Barbie cafe and just to see what was going on in the area. There are a lot of shops and a lot of outdoor seating for various restaurants, cafes, etc. There are a lot of local shops here and less mainstream chain stores. Or at least I THINK there is. The area is a bit pricey though. It also seemed like a popular walking area where people brought their dogs out for a walk. So great dog watching area! There looks to be some popular food options as outdoor dining seemed really popular. Most days the area had people but on the Friday that we came by it was a whole different experience. There was a DJ setup, outdoor dancing, outdoor events and buskers during this time. It was double or triple the amount of people we regularly saw and it was very lively! All in all a pretty cool spot.

Seaport District is a mixture of entertainment, restaurants, and business. I decided to book my stay in this area (Soho), to be exact, because I wanted to take my time and get to know this area. So every evening when I returned to my hotel, I spent my time walking around discovering new and old things about the area. The start point to begin your walk is Fulton Street; this is where the cobblestone pavement start. In the middle of the street, there is a wooden structure to sit, relax and dine. Each side of the street is lined with restaurants, entertainment, bookstores, shops, bakeries, etc. Ok, keep going straight and cross the street over to the Pier. The views are incredible of The Brooklyn Bridge and the city. More restaurants, shopping, and places to sit and watch the boats! Mister Dips, great burger and fries. Big Gay Ice Cream, the Salty Pimp Ice cream is a must. Funny Face Bakery, tasty cookies with celebrity faces. McNally Book Store.

Expensive shops, restaurants & bars but great for people watching. Glad Sarah Jessica Parker's shoes are still here! Love all the outdoor tables. The WiFi barely worked & the free charging station was very slow. We stopped for a $25 round of drafts so we could charge our phones. We showed our sapphire cards for access to the Sapphire club. The tables were filthy & there was food & paper garbage on the ground. Disappointed the beers were served warm in plastic cups.

How relaxing. This place had a nice area to still around, shop, relax by the water or find a sweet treat. I also loved that I saw BLACK LIVES MATTER signs And it was LGBTQ friendly. That was a plus. The community seemed inviting.

During Quarantine we found ourselves spending some time in this area, what a difference a Friday afternoon during quarantine vs a "normal" Friday main difference of course is the amount of people outside. with not a lot open during quarantine this area is more peaceful, nice to grab food & drinks & come back here to sit & enjoy the views. Regularly this area is very busy & pretty annoying at times since it's hard to find a place that isn't too crowded. overall during normal times there is plenty to do in this area, decent amount of food options, they tend to hold events & there is usually something going on outside, aside from all that u have the great city views to entertain you which are certainly some of the nicest views in the city, great area to spend some good old time just enjoying the open air.

The Seaport District is a cool spot to enjoy a beautiful fall afternoon/evening of cocktails, food, and music in a super safe and socially distanced scene. Situated on the East River, the Seaport District boasts plenty of outdoor space, cute shops, and delightful outdoor dining options which feature fresh seafood in an eclectic array of cuisine (we really enjoyed Industry Kitchen's Hidden Garden and Seaport Rye cocktails with their pot of mussels and Di Parma Plate). Additionally, the abundance of outdoor space and dining make the Seaport District a great place to bring your four-legged family member(s). One major highlight throughout the summer and fall months of the pandemic has been the Friday/Saturday/Sunday performances of Darion Drums at Pier 15. His performances feature a fun mix of music that encourage a socially distanced riverside sing-along and dance party that will have you singing and swinging your hips! Don't miss out! Grab your people and your fur baby and venture down to the Seaport District for an afternoon/evening of riverside social distancing, fresh air, cocktails, dining, singing, and dancing! (I am unable to upload the snaps of our riverside sing-along/dance party, but you can view them on my instagram jcruz0699)

The last time we came here they were doing some construction. It's a nice district to have a little walk. A lot to explore, from several restaurants, some shops, and cute murals. Then we crossed the street to go to the seaport by the water side. We saw a nice view of downtown Manhattan from here. Then we walked further in and found a very good section to relax and voila! There's a DJ playing great music! This was unexpected. The views were pretty nice from here. We got to see the Brooklyn bridge, part of midtown east, and part of Brooklyn Height promenade. Awesome place to enjoy the afternoon/evening. We talked about coming back here. Awesome!

Beautiful view of bridges, Brooklyn and East River. Concerts in the summer and ice skating in the winter. This is a much improved Seaport if you remember the original. Great place to hang out. Sign up for their fitness classes and skating classes. There is even a broomball league and curling.

Loved this area. So much fun. Everything is overpriced, but I just loved the restaurants and they had outdoor shopping, which was great.

I recently attended one of their free yoga classes as part of their Winter Fitness program. The space is pretty large and comfortably held the 40 or so attendees the night I attended yoga. We all were informed beforehand to bring our own mats and towels as these would not be provided. The yoga sessions are run by different yoga companies and the one I attended was by Sputnik Yoga and was a silent headphone yoga session. We each were provided, free of charge, headphones to wear during class. This was my first time attending a session like this but had a blast! The headphones took a bit getting used to, but I loved that you could clearly hear the teacher during the class. They also played some cool music while helping to block out all other sounds. This really helped me focus on the movement and the instructions. The class was an open level Vinyasa but the movements and flow were slightly advance. It was quite a workout and I was sweaty by the end. After class, we were each given wipes to sanitize the headphones and our mats. Then we all took selfies in this beautiful space and one final group picture, which they posted on their Instagram account. This was by far the coolest yoga class I've ever taken. I've been telling all of my friends and co-workers about it and have already signed up for some of their upcoming classes. Overlook offers other types of activities like Meditation, Ribbon Dancing, Barre classes and Story time for kids. It is a great place to watch the skaters below and enjoy Bryant Park's free activities. I highly recommend trying them out.

The event location offers sweeping views of the Hudson River, the Vessel, and a good deal of Manhattan and New Jersey's Gold Coast. The areas are supposed to be customizable, and I recently attended a party on the 21st floor. The space was more limited than I had expected, but I think it might have been configured as such. For instance, according to its website, it could fit up to 150 guests for a cocktail party or 20-120 guests for a seated dinner, but this setup held about 60-70 patrons. However, it was able to accommodate a coat check, a bar, a DJ station, a photo booth, and a few couches, while still allowing room for attendees to gather in groups and servers to pass out hors d'oeuvres. The party I attended was catered by Abigail Kirsch, and the food was fabulous in both taste and quantity. So, while the Glasshouse Chelsea is pretty far west and not the most convenient, its ability to set the scene for a great event makes it worth the trip, either as an organizer/planner or as an attendee.
