I just wrote a very negative review about the Resorts World Casino…read more And how the dealers that I was dealing with didn't really know what they are doing. When I went back to the Mohegan Sun Casino and was talking about my Resorts World experience I was told that Mohegan Sun Casino gave Resorts World about 200 dealers. That was great to hear. I just didn't have one of the experienced dealers. But this is a good sign

Wow, where do I begin?…read more First off, I wanted to give RWNYC a fair shot to earn my business after my prior experiences with Resorts World have been incredibly bad at their Catskills property (see prior Yelp reviews) and their Vegas location (poor guest service, unaffordable food, etc.). So even though I knew poker was not ready yet at RWNYC, I headed over to check out the new spot, get a new players card, and play some craps in their new table games section. When I arrived on property, there were cones set up in weird configurations to direct traffic, along with human traffic directors who were more concerned with their conversations than how to get cars into the parking garage. One person flagged me forward while a colleague of his flagged someone else, causing both of us to jam our breaks to avoid a collision. Nice. The garage smells like pee. Yay. The elevators smell like pee. Yay. I asked a security guard to point me towards the rewards club desk. He said "we don't have one of those." Nice. I went to another security guard on another floor, who pointed me in the right direction. At the player's club desk, I presented My ID and a top tier card from another casino in order to get tier matched. "Oh we don't tier match here," was the response. Pretty sure every casino offers a tier match if you are a player with enough tier credits - they want to steal players from each other's casinos, the only way to do that is to offer perks. I asked if there was a VIP Host I could talk to, they told me the Host Office is on the top floor, so off I went. The top floor had no VIP Host office, so I was pointed to the Credit office, where I had a conversation with a gentleman, presented my ID, my top level card from a rival casino, and showed him my rewards app for that card so he could see I was not faking this. He told me he did not have the authority to offer a tier match, but he could have his boss accept a phone call from that casino to confirm I am in fact a top level player, and it would be up to me to call that casino to ask them to call their rival casino to get the confirmation, after which Resorts World would assign me a tier based on how I was betting at their craps tables. What?!?! That is not how a tier match works. So the gentleman brought me to a kiosk where I was issued a bottom level card and it came with $10 free play for slots. I took my card over to the craps pit and saw two tables open. One had 7 players out of 12 spaces available and the minimum was $100!!!! Holy crap! On a Monday??? The other table had 3 players and the minimum was $200!!! How do you expect people to play on tables with minimums so high? So I rolled my eyes, laughed, and walked to a slot machine to use my $10 free play. Nope - not available to use on my card. Tried three other machines, same result - unavailable. So I threw my card in the trash and walked back to my car. Sorry Resorts World - you lost my business before I could bet a single penny. Bye!

Most of the time he isn't at the church after 5 on a Saturday but I like to check sometimes. Another friend wanted to come here to see streetfighter the rolling stones tribute band. I'm not overly crazy about the rolling stones but I'm open to checking out stuff I'm not too familiar with and getting exposed to new things. So I told my friend I'd go with her. I think they are open to the public after a certain time so if you aren't a member you can still stroll on in. Smart move on their part because they'll get extra business that way. I wasn't too much of a fan of the band playing but it was really nice to be on the beach hearing some music that part was pretty awesome. I walked down to the beach area to check it out. My friend wanted to eat and I didn't have a lot of money so we shared a pizza. She picked the toppings. Many times I'm a people pleaser. I just don't want to get into an argument and will comply with the wishes of others pretty easily if I am okay with it so I let her pick the toppings. Overall it was a nice experience being here and I would come here again especially if they had a band I like better than the rolling stones tribute band.

This trip my conference was in Brooklyn so we said why not...turned out to be our best decision! We arrived early and Jeff assisted us at the reservation desk. Jeff said he would try to get us checked in early if possible. Just as I headed to the ladies room to change into workout clothes to hit the Brooklyn Bridge, Jeff said our room was ready! I loved the charm of the hotel, a genuine nod to the character and nature of Brooklyn which was nice. The hotel was steps from the Brooklyn Bridge and I got the opportunity to walk the bridge every day. The entire staff, everyone we encountered was kind and helpful. It took a couple days to familiarize myself with the hotel and by day three, I knew my way around. The staff remembered me and would greet and ask how my stay/trip was each time. To all the amazing people we met, thank you. My husband and I have moved our hotel business to the Marriott, and we are looking into the vacations packages. It is ONLY available to access during the set meal times M-F (6a-10a and 530p-10p). Also in my opinion, it's probably better to just use your $30 credit and get the hot grab and go breakfast from the restaurant/coffee bar instead of going to the M lounge for breakfast. Better options and tastier.

I find the manager and he proceeds to re-explain the situation as "so you want us to buy you a drink? It's not our fault or responsibility." We're adults. I never placed blame. A peculiar thing to say considering I just bought the drink and I'm in your establishment. Felt pretty short tbh. Not sure why I was expecting a different tone. He eventually just offers me a shot. I don't particularly like shots so I kindly slid the remainder of the spilled drink and declined the shot, suggesting that Managment show the next customer a little more grace and respect in tone. Obviously an establishment isn't responsible for spilled drinks and don't have to be kind at all. I get that. But I guess that's what separates a great establishment from a mediocre one just selling drinks and not an experience. Good luck to them.

Unfortunately, due to geopolitical instability impacting our return route through Amman and the broader Persian Gulf region, our travel plans became unworkable. I contacted multiple hotels involved in our itinerary, and every one of them demonstrated professionalism and understanding by waiving cancellation fees given the circumstances--including other Marriott properties and the Ritz-Carlton. This property, however, took a completely different approach. I spoke with Samir in the reservations department. He refused to provide any refund. We went back and forth multiple times, and each time he introduced a new justification. At one point, he claimed the U.S. State Department had not advised against travel to the Persian Gulf and that any warning had expired on March 31. I provided evidence that there was no expiration date, yet he continued to deny the request. I also explained that other Marriott properties and Ritz-Carlton locations had already issued full refunds under the same circumstances. Despite this, he continued to refuse any accommodation. Only after I told him I would be leaving a review about my experience did he offer a future credit. That is not a practical solution when I have no certainty of returning to Morocco. I then requested that a manager follow up with me. No one ever did. Communication stopped entirely. This response reflects a lack of flexibility, accountability, and basic customer consideration--especially when compared to how other properties under the Marriott International brand handled the exact same situation. As a result, I had to absorb the financial loss and cancel the reservation. Based on this experience, I recommend considering alternative accommodations that demonstrate greater responsiveness and professionalism when dealing with legitimate, unforeseen global disruptions.
