1-Star Review I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was disappointing from start to finish. During my initial Botox appointment, I clearly stated that I did not want "Spock brows." Instead of acknowledging my concern, the nurse gave me a slightly sassy, dismissive response along the lines of, "Oh, I've been doing this long enough." That should have been my first red flag. At my follow‑up visit, I mentioned that both I and my mother (during a video call earlier that day) noticed the Spock brow effect. Rather than listening, the nurse pulled up before-and-after photos and insisted my brows looked "fine." I look at myself every day -- I know what I looked like, and it was not fine. Instead of addressing the issue, she then tried to upsell me on additional Botox to "even out" my crow's feet. I declined. When I later called to schedule another follow‑up to correct the Spock brows, I was told to send photos and that a nurse would call me back within 15 minutes. No one ever called. My subsequent calls were not returned, and now the phone number doesn't even accept my calls at all. To make matters worse, during both of my visits, an employee was on a personal phone call dealing with some kind of personal drama -- loudly enough that it was impossible to ignore. It added to the overall sense of unprofessionalism. Between the dismissive attitude, the lack of accountability, the upselling, the unreturned calls, and the unprofessional environment, I cannot recommend this place. Pretty disappointed.. we first went there about four weeks ago and when I made appointment, it was cool but then when we went in, the nurse was super pushy telling us that we needed like 50 or 60 units. but every time, my friend and I have gone, you know we've only got like 30 and I'm OK with some wrinkles.. that turned out to be a disaster because after two weeks, we had so much movement. It was the same nothing changed. So then I called spoke to the owner who was amazing by the way saying that you know we could come back in actually get what we needed and then so it canceled each other out. So my friend and I were both happy and when we go back, our nurses super cool gives us more units than we had prior. Then after two weeks, you would think that we wouldn't have any movement or maybe like a tad bit no, we still had the same movement so she adds more Botox when we do a two week touchup and then we get charged more. I'm super disappointed in this place because we go in we spend $700 to get whatever it doesn't work and then we go back again and now this is our third time so hopefully the third time we can't move so when a total I put 91 units of Botox and I still had movement which I think is ridiculous super disappointed the receptionist was not friendly. I wish I would've spoke to the manager again. so I will never return to this place because I've been so disappointed. The only reason I gave it a two star rating was because the owner was so nice in the beginning.. read more

She not only welcomed me with a big smile on her face and the sweetest voice she literally did my intake and went above and beyond!!! She is a gem! The customer service all around is absolutely amazing here! I had gotten a lip flip and RF microneedling with nurse Hayley and a hydrafacial with Letty the esthetician and they made my experience magical. They were both extremely informative and made my experience so easy and absolutely 100% PAIN FREE! This place is definitely a 5 star all around. First of all the place itself feels like a spa, so clean and just a calming atmosphere. The ladies at the fort desk are so sweet! They welcomed me very nice (which at other laser places they make you feel like they are doing you a favor lol). I did an under arm laser treatment with Erin, it was my first time so I was a little bit scared from the pain, however it didn't hurt at all! Just a small zap. Erin is just amazing!! She kept on making sure that I was feeling comfortable, and answered all my questions and concerns. This is the type of place that you know, in a few months they'll be packed! Btw- I also purchased a facial cleansing gel from their dermatologist, cost a little high but worth every dollar, works like magic. Sd med spa is truly unique in east county. What a gem of a place. I got my hydra-facial here with Letty and wow. Just wow. Her technique was incredible. She is so thorough and educational and they use the best products. Letty is so skilled and the facial massage and vitamin c serum were my absolute favorite parts. My skin was so Dewey and fresh all day I didn't not want to wash off the products. Her recommendations and advice were spot on and I can't wait till my next appointment for Botox and fillers. The interior of this spa is almost as beautiful as the staff! I felt so welcomed and comfortable from the second I stepped in. All the rooms and entry way are beautifully decorated and so clean, created such a great atmosphere.
