I arrived at 8:45 am and was welcomed by receptionist and informed her that this was my first time ever having microneedling. She reassured me that I made a great decision. I was then taken into a room for pictures of my skin. After the pictures I was taken to the procedure room and did my medical assessment by zoom with the physician assistant. After being cleared the receptionist brought me a bottle water and advised me that Perla had just arrived and she would be in momentarily to go over everything. I waited less than 5 minutes and Perla came in and we had a great conversation about what I wanted to achieve with my skin and my problem areas. Perla then put numbing cream on my face and advised that she would leave it on for 15 minutes. I was really impressed because every question I had about the process she answered and explained everything step by step. After the numbing cream she cleaned my face and put on an astringent and began microneedling. I thought it was going to be painful and that I was going to bleed. It actually tickles in some areas of the face and neck but I did have a little discomfort on the forehead and nose area. After it was over Perla did show me the areas that I had some redness but stated that would go away within a few days. Perla also advised me to use tinted sunscreen and gave me her recommendations on how to care for my skin. I immediately seen a difference and will be scheduling another appointment in 6 weeks for another session. I was really satisfied and highly impressed! Oh! I almost forgot after my service was over I was trying to redeem my Groupon deal and the Groupon site was having problems. I tried to access it several times and the receptionist tried on her end to access the site and nothing was happening. After 20 minutes the receptionist inquired if I would allow her to stay logged into my Groupon and she would take care of it and call me once the payment cleared. I felt bad for leaving unsure about the payment because I had never used Groupon and wanted to make sure that the business was paid for my services. About 10 minutes after I left I received a call from the receptionist that the website was up and running and she was able to redeem the Groupon payment. This was a bonus for me that I patronized an excellent business! I will definitely be back for future services! Thank you Bare Skin Beauty! You're wonderful!

I'm not sure if it's the products being used, the application, or rushing, but for a mid-to-high price range, I expected better consistency and attention to detail. I was also told it was due to my natural nails, but I've had my nails done at other salons and never experienced these issues, so I don't believe that's the case. I really appreciate their willingness to fix the work, but I'd prefer a place that gets it right the first time without needing adjustments. Especially since those adjustments aren't the best either... Getting your nails done should be a fun, relaxing experience, not one where you're worried about the outcome each time.

I had a really disappointing experience with SD Medspa and, unfortunately, the way the situation was handled afterward made it even worse. I initially had a bad experience with Emilie due to a lack of transparency around pricing. After seeing their post about her being fired, I reached out via Instagram to share my experience. I was told that they would "take care of me" if I was willing to come back, so I was open to giving the business another chance despite my initial experience. I then spoke with someone on the phone who I was told was the owner, and the customer service was incredibly disappointing. She talked over me while I was trying to explain what had happened, was rude and argumentative, and did not make me feel like my concerns were being heard or taken seriously. She actually called me back afterward just to continue arguing with me and told me that she didn't care whether I came back or not because the business would continue either way. That interaction told me everything I needed to know about how they view their customers. I was willing to give them another chance because they told me they would make things right, but after speaking with the owner, I absolutely will not be returning. On top of the customer service issues, I wasn't particularly happy with the work I originally had done there either. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and was willing to try again, but the way I was treated afterward completely changed my mind. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. A business can make mistakes, but how you treat a customer when they bring up a legitimate concern says a lot about the business. I left this experience feeling completely dismissed and, frankly, shocked by the lack of professionalism. read more

I've been struggling w adult acne, dehydrated skin despite taking good care of my skin, etc. The girls at the med spa hooked me up & helped me figure out what treatments to do to achieve what I'm looking for. I started off with a Hydrafacial (literally amazing), RF Microneedling (doesn't hurt and I noticed a difference in my forehead within a day), a liiiittle bit of lip filler & baby botox. At this point, I feel that I have made every reasonable effort to resolve this matter directly. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business. If you are considering purchasing a prepaid package, I would encourage you to think carefully before paying in advance. I trusted this business with both my money and my time, and I don't feel that trust was respected. I hope they improve how they handle customers who have already paid for services.

I was specifically encouraged to include my neck in the treatment plan, but that area is where I am most disappointed with the outcome. The concerns I originally wanted to address, including sagging around my mouth and jawline, remain unchanged. Despite following through with the recommended treatment plan, I saw no noticeable lifting or tightening. I understand that results can vary from person to person, but based on my experience, this treatment was a complete waste of money. I wish I had been given more realistic expectations before investing so much time and money. While the staff were kind and welcoming, I cannot recommend HIFU treatments at this spa based on the results I personally experienced.

Hala, the owner, was very accommodating. She explained the entire process and warned me that some people feel discomfort and to be prepared. Honestly, didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. She would stop every so often to make sure I wasn't in pain. She is what you truest expect out of a professional. On time, helpful, knowledgeable, and ready to answer any questions. I have several more sessions and I am excited I am finally getting it done. I couldn't be more lucky to find such a great place for laser hair removal in El Cajon!
