I used HSWT as my wedding caterer in Fall 2008. They did a really great job, the jerk chicken was delicious (as was the brisket), the tossed salad was made with really nice greens instead of the all-too-common iceberg lettuce, and they made a special grilled-vegetable entree for my vegetarian friends (which came out so deliciously wonderful that I didn't even get to taste any of it!) They also put together a "care package" for me and my husband, so we got to enjoy a cooking-free week of newlywed bliss. Finally, they are great in a crisis. The week before my wedding, the chef had an accident and was hurt too badly to cater the wedding. (Fortunately, he has recovered and is doing fine.) This could have been a nightmare situation for everyone, but even though Andy was hurt and probably had better things to worry about, he lined up a really great substitute chef, and I didn't even realize anything was amiss until after dinner!

They claimed there were no leftovers at the end of the night, which seemed highly unlikely given the amount of food prepared and the fact one of their employees quite literally mentioned on the phone taking home a half tray of green beans. When we questioned it, they immediately tried to shift blame onto the clean-up crew -- even though the clean-up crew wasn't even on site at the same time as the catering team. It was clear they were just making excuses instead of owning the situation. Communication and coordination throughout the night felt alright, but overall we were left with left a sour taste after what should have been a perfect celebration.
