About 45 minutes later we were finally called up to the buffet just to find out that pretty much all the food was gone anyway. And the food that was left was cold and not at all flavorful. Right from the first meeting with Becky, we knew this was the right fit for the wedding reception. Our goal was to have all events for the weekend in Downtown Toledo and The Summit Event Center was perfect! The Hotel was a block away and all other events were close by within walking distance which made it easier for the guests. Becky is so informative and professional, always returning calls or emails within a day. Becky and her staff took so much stress out of the wedding reception planning. The free monthly tasting were so helpful. This gave us a chance to bring various people to the tastings to help choose the right food and see the venue. It also gave us an opportunity to get to know the staff. They exceeded our expectations! We wanted to customize our food and make it a fall theme. Chef Keith was so helpful and willing to figure out the right combinations of foods. The late night snack of chicken chunks and mac and cheese was a huge hit! Hannah, the Bar Manager, made a fall specialty drink with warm apple cider that was also a favorite with the guests. All of the waitstaff were attentive and polite making sure everything was as we had requested. The house DJ was an awesome choice! Having the use of the inventory of event decorations was a big money saver. We loved going thru the items to get ideas. The package pricing made it so much easier to plan the budget for the reception. Becky was so helpful in making changes to the package that fit our needs. Our families and friends had an excellent time from the delicious food and drinks to the fun dance music to the wonderful decorations, we highly recommend having an event at The Summit Event Center! Thanks to Becky, Hannah, Chef Keith and the rest of the staff! We made some awesome memories!

It would not have been my first choice but I was pleasantly surprised! It's very family friendly, pretty clean, although I didn't pay attention that much. We will definitely be back for family fun night!

As we walked in for…read moreour appointment, The owner disclosed to us that we were not allowed to touch anything, just look and pick. Once we made a decision, picked our products and sat down to start painting, we noticed l a party came in and those children touched everything! She never told them it was not allowed. My friend had a 1 1/2 year old and the owner was obviously annoyed that we even brought a small child, but I did not see any age limits on the site. So when my friend called to let her know how she felt, the owner apologized and expressed that it wasn't Chuck-e-Cheese. Seriously???? Anyway, Long story short...You paint pottery, and you have to wash and clean up all of your brushes, pallets, and the table. And when your stuff is ready, they set the stuff outside for you to pick up. (Who does that?) If you just want to go somewhere that is unsociable. Lol then here is the place to go!

I recently participated in the Jingle Bell/Elf escape room at your establishment on Sunday Jan…read more12th. While I was excited to try out the escape room, unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations.  Here are some specific concerns we encountered: 1. Some puzzles were either overly ambiguous or lacked logical connections, making it difficult to progress.  Example) My elementary age son finding the main key to the main puzzle box within 10 minutes. Another example, The helper elf not being able to physically solve the glass puzzle with our free puzzle pass,  and instead she just told us the code combination.  dr 2. The actual escape room lacked technology & fun surprises. My family loves escape rooms and this was the first one we have visited that didn't have a secret lock door that opened to another area or clue! No special lighting or music. All the clues were inside of literal boxes that had combination locks on them to open. 3. After solving the escape room with 25 mins left on the clock we were left disappointed with staff recommending we tip on the way out.   We were looking forward to a fun and challenging experience, but unfortunately, the above factors detracted from the overall enjoyment. I wanted to bring this to your attention, as I'm sure you strive to provide the best possible experience for all your customers.  I hope this feedback can be helpful for future visitors.

That didn't quite work as there were bus loads dropping them off in the morning, but it still ended up being a great time. The sloth experience was wonderful and Kristy that showed us the ropes was awesome. She really made the experience so much more delightful and informative. I would definitely recommend this place to others if they are looking for a smaller zoo with all of the big offerings. Worth the drive to visit a new spot and support more of the local places

WOW! This place is SO AWESOME. I took my gf here for her birthday to do the sloth encounter and…read morewander the zoo, it was both our first time here and it was FANTASTIC. Since we were there on a Thursday and in winter we literally were the only guests in the zoo which was pretty special. First the zoo overall is smaller then places like the Detroit or Toledo zoo but they make up for that with all the awesome and more personal things you can do. When we arrived the lady at the desk was extremely friendly, and explained everything to us we needed to know about our booked sloth encounter. I also purchased a bucket of carrots to feed the animals throughout the zoo itself - it was CHEAP $7 and $5 refills but the amount of carrots were spilling out so we only needed 1. The employee explained you could feed Carrots to the animals that had a smiley face sign on their enclosure which was extremely helpful. The animals you can feed in the zoo itself are camels, deer, goats and alpaca which were SO adorable. Since it is winter they do not have all of their animals out like the giraffes and monkeys but honestly it still overall felt worth the money of admission despite this. Secondly- the Sloth encounter was literally one of the best experiences I've ever had with an animal encounter. Our "guide" I think his name was Alan...was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and fun. He knew A LOT about each sloth there, told us funny stories about them and knew a lot of extremely interesting sloth facts. On the booking for the encounter it stated that the experience lasts 30 minutes but because Alan was so awesome we were with the sloths for almost an hour. We were able to feed 3 different sloths (they gave you a cup with apples/cucumbers/strawberries/grapes). We were able to go inside one of the sloths enclosures and pet one that was sleeping as well (THEY'RE SO SOFT!) Overall our experience was wonderful. Despite what some reviews say, I personally could see all animals are very well cared for and they have very spacious enclosures. Some of the smaller enclosures also have holes so the animal can choose to come outside or go back inside which I really loved seeing that they have a choice. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend the zoo overall AND if you can swing it the sloth encounter.
