But both Meijer and Kohl's are suffering from being short handed, and I have a Kohl's credit card and some Kohl's cash. It's a bit messy because it's a couple days before Christmas and a storm is coming and they have about half the workers they need. The ones that are working are doing a great job, and the prices are very good for the quality and I needed these gloves and socks, and I wanted the pajamas. Did you know that pajamas were invented in India? It's a Sanskrit word. If pajamas aren't civilization, then I don't know what is. I seem to have digressed. Kohl's is okay.

This place seems like a hybrid of both. Prices seem to be right around the Goodwill range or even less (and like Goodwill, they were offering 50% off of certain colored tags). I hope you've got Macklemore playing in your head because I know I do. I got the velcros ... Anyway, decent variety of older games and toys, lots of kids clothing in a wide range of sizes, even some maternity bras and clothing for mothers, and a huge rack for shoes in the back. As is off in the case, there were three times as many girls shoes as boys. The spot is definitely way off the beaten path -- tucked in the very back corner of a strip mall at the corner of Gulll and Sprinkle roads (if you've found Main Street Pub you've got the right building -- it's around the back).

I used to love to shop at the 28th St. store in Kentwood and the one on Plainfield in Grand Rapids - could spend an entire afternoon there - but as soon as they opened new facilities, they lost the "treasure hunt" feel they had before. Now they carry a lot of newer things, the prices keep going up and the "hunt" is not the fun it used to be. When I want new things at a discount I go to T.J. Maxx and get quality for less, not leftover junk from Target that usually has something wrong with it. Wake up Goodwill, don't lose what you have going for you!
