I visited this location for the first time ever on 2/21/25. Walking in the set up was so well done, I was excited to see the whole store. It is mostly clothes that I would say are fairly priced and they do have a HUGE selection. There shelves were very low on home goods and they just had a few pieces of furniture, but what they had was nice and well-staged. At the back of the store, there is an ADORABLE vintage Mickey Mouse clock. There is no signage to say price or if it is for sale or not. I assumed not, but on my way out, I did ask the two associates at the front (younger blonde-ish lady and middle-aged darker haired lady) if it happened to be for sale. I was completely fine with a no being the answer, but the darker haired lady responded "If you want to give me $1,000 you can have it." Again, I was totally fine with a no, and assumed it probably was not for sale, I just LOVE Mickey Mouse so I wanted to be sure because it isn't every day you see something so cool. I laughed a bit at the response and headed out at that point. The same clock is available on Ebay for $250, but I would have preferred Salvation Army get paid than some random person on Ebay. After leaving, a friend informed me that a majority of the items I had noticed when I walked in that were so nicely staged, are apparently also not for sale. And that staff being turned off by people asking about prices on those items often result in the same attitude back that I experienced. Again, totally fine if you don't want to sell people things, but signs would be nice or a kind response when people ask. I am a pretty firm believer in signage goes a long way, so if staff is going to be put off by people asking if something is or isn't for sale, I would recommend adding some "not for sale" signs around the store. No reason to be snarky with people asking if things are available or not. There are probably better options of places to shop and have a better experience with staff and a more straightforward shopping experience-and where you can still support great causes! read more

A nice Salvation Army thrift shop. Very large, clean and organized. Clean was nice! GREAT assortment of items and I purchased a few items. They offer AARP, military, college, senior and Golden Buckeye discounts. Definitely will go again. Friendly staff read more

This store the shelves are always Bare, years ago the shelves here were always full, they only put junk on shelves now we never find anything when we shop this store, the only thing worth buying , they have not for sale, display only!! They are never stocking the shelves, what happened to this store?? Who is keeping all the good donations?? Why is all the hood donations not for sale??! A reliable source was telling a lot of people that the manager with blonde hair older lady is keeping all the good things and profits from them for herself, this is hear say but considering there is nothing ever in household worth buying ever, we have decided we believe it!! Lots of nice trees not for sale ! Blow molds Easter bunnies not for sale , lots of vintage not for sale, someone said manager keeps all those things and just uses Salvation Army building as her personal storage! I don't recommend donating at this location unless you want the manager to benefit personally!!! read more

I've been here multiple times with NO ISSUES but today the cashier made me feel very unwelcomed. first off I come here once a week and have never seen this women. i normally come on the weekends so maybe that's it but I'm a heavy tattooed person and piercings. She took my things and and each piece she had something to say. And one tag came off because I was trying to see if it would fit. Minnnnd you it was still attached just not fully stamped down. Had the size and everything on the tag. It matched she told me couldn't sell it to me. BUT THE LADY BEFORE ME HAD A TAG COMPLETELY OFF. So... okay.. whatever.. then a pair of pants tag came off when she took the hanger off then told me she couldn't sell it and then changed her mind (with Linda there) and said I could have it at the price tag not sale price per "Linda" agreeing. Well what about my other garment I wanted!? Then she asked for me ID which I'm glad she did because security reasons but when I asked her name she got an attitude. And called for Linda. Then proceeded to say it was because she asked for me ID. I corrected her and said no. I said it's because how you are treating me because I obviously don't fit in here... and tried to argue. so Linda comes over and says.. her name in Kim. While she shoved me a bag and my stuff. Like thanks.. Well that's all I asked and I said thank you and left. Jebus. don't come in here if you wanted to be treated like trash or you are stealing because they sure make you feel like trash. read more

The last time I was in Lancaster I decided to check out the local thrift stores. The Salvation Army was by far the best one; they had the most clothing. Actually, this particular store is one of the largest that I've been to. The one in my town, Chillicothe, is about 1/4 the size. As for the manager mentioned in other reviews, thankfully I didn't hear her. The lady who checked me out at the cash register was very nice and helpful. I recently moved into the Lancaster area, and really missed being in very close proximity to the Salvation Army stores and Goodwill stores where I used to live. So today I ventured out to find the closest thrift stores I could. I had stumbled upon the Goodwill, which was.. meh. They had some stuff... but clothing selection was next to nothing. However! The Salvation Army, I was extremely surprised at how big the place was. There is also a donation center there which made it even easier because I had tons to drop off. Since Lancaster isn't necessarily what you'd think of as the most up-to-date city.. you can imagine the gems that were lingering in this place. I found some extremely awesome coats, ones that are practically brand new, for 4 or 5 bucks. Name brands and off brands. I got 6 bags worth of clothes and miscellaneous pictures and funky housewares for $22.74. I thought I had at least 40-50 bucks worth there. My friend has been searching for a Member's Only jacket in grey for almost 2 years. Not only did I find one, but it still had the tags on it and was 3 dollars. It was in perfect condition. I bought a Kenneth Cole jacket with tags on it that said originally 379.00 and it was 5 friggen' dollars. Needless to say, this tucked away thrift haven totally redeemed my hopes for Lancaster. I probably could have done without the mentally handicapped man screaming, but hey... isn't that another reason we go to thrift stores? Company like this is always welcome :) I'll be back! read more

Manager is super rude she talks poorly about customers to staff members while out on the floor where other customers can hear it (pretty much said they price everything if it don't have a price then people are trying to steal somehow lol). I was shopping while listening to all her nonsense about every one in Lancaster being a theif pretty much. They have inventory they will NOT put out (i believe she or somebody is reselling on different platforms such as ebay or Craigslist or are just taking the good stuff home with them) this manager at this location definitely needs investigated for embezzlement and/or theft. I know for a fact ALOT of there merchandise does NOT make it to the floor. Horrible place horrible manager. read more

Staff is friendly enough but the manager is a nightmare. She can often be heard in the back screaming at the employees. Doesnt matter what they did or did not do she should never be allowed to act that way! And from what the employees have said to the last few employees who have stood up to her were fired. So sounds like they are all too scared of losing their jobs to stand up for themselves against this bully. read more
