Parents be aware of this camp! In the beginning they looked…read moreprofessional, have a good facility but after my brother's enrolling I figured out how bad they are! I'm gonna write about couple of things happened their and you can decide for your own! 1) One time my brother and his friends ordered Pizza, a group leader asked them to give him some of the Pizza or he gonna report them! 2) Other time my brother was using his mobile phone -which is not allowed- a group leader took his mobile phone (I'm OK with this, I believe it's a fair policy), however at the end of the camp, they didn't return the mobile phone and they denied having it from the first place! when I knew there is no solution from their side, I reported this to the police! 3) When my brother and his group lift the camp, they didn't return the group's passports! we were lucky not to have international travel in that day, otherwise, they'll be missing their flight! 4) One day after leaving the camp, I returned to the camp to get my brother's phone and passport, it took me from 2:30 P.M. till 4:00 P.M. to be able to talk with C.J. their operation manager, who failed in returning my brother's phone! 5) While I was waiting in the reception, I got the chance to speak with couple of kids and parents, one of the kids told us something like (1), other kid was waiting for an airport taxi, he booked and paid for it through them a week earlier, the taxi wasn't there on time! and each time he talk with them, they were soo cold, I was pissed my self, I don't know what happened to the poor kid later in the airport however I hope he didn't miss his flight!

I expected a lot more from "The 'Best in Class' Educational Activity Centre"…read more I've been to the Kingswood in the Isle of Wight last year, and I found it to be an enjoyable experience, and so I put my name forward to the school to go this year to the Grosvenor hall Kingswood Centre. As the coach passed through the gates and into the centre, we noted the barbed wire fences, the tractor, and the road too small to fit more than one vehicle down. The general appearance of the place was not nearly as grand as the images on the website would lead you to believe. We waited for about 10 minutes for our group leader Dan (I must add that Dan, 'the moose man' as he became affectionately known, was a genuinely good group leader, kudos to him) to arrive and take us to our dorms- housed in 'Zulu' building. The bedrooms couldn't have been any more than 2 by 3.5 metres in size, with a wardrobe, sink and single bunkbed to be shared between two people, with the exception of a couple of 6 person dorms. Needless to say this was a source of much complaint from the students. The activities were stinkingly average, the usual sort of thing- Abseiling, rock climbing, zipwire and the like, and didn't make much of an impression on me. There is a newly built swimming pool at the Grosvenor Hall centre which isn't too shabby, our group got around 3 hours in it overall (1 hour for a 'pool party' which we took instead of a disco, and another 2 hours from the regular swimming activity). The instructors were varied, ranging from the really good, enthusiastic instructors who understood that 14 year olds are unlikely to sing songs as they walk from activity to activity, to those who didn't seem to care very much, to those who seemed to care a bit too much. We had one racist instuctor during the campfire, who suggested he toasted a marshmallow until it was black so that one girl didn't complain about lack of equality. The food... was like rubber mixed with cardboard. Not particularly appetising, again- the same standard of food you would expect. In the last night I managed to convince the teacher in charge of our group to let us order pizza from off-site, and we stayed up until 1am waiting for it, we were that desperate for some decent food. To conclude, I would not recommend this centre to anybody, though younger years (year 7s, 8s) would probably enjoy it a lot more than I did.
