A great place for great finds! Mostly gently used and new women's clothing, yet also children's and…read moremen's clothing at great prices. The volunteer workers are always very nice and helpful. They do accept donations yet please call them in advance before donating. They can always use your extra grocery plastic and paper bags. One way to reuse, reduce and recycle!! I can always find something for myself, my family or my man. Today I found some great items! My best deal was a 2 piece women's dress pant suit from Dress Barn size 6 for $1.50!! They mark things down to half often and have even deeper discount racks toward the back of the store. The hours are limited so please call before heading over if you aren't familiar with their schedule. As with all second hand purchases make sure to properly launder them before wearing or gifting. This is a favorite spot of mine to second hand shop at!

It is mostly clothes that I would say are fairly priced and they do have a HUGE selection. There shelves were very low on home goods and they just had a few pieces of furniture, but what they had was nice and well-staged. At the back of the store, there is an ADORABLE vintage Mickey Mouse clock. There is no signage to say price or if it is for sale or not. I assumed not, but on my way out, I did ask the two associates at the front (younger blonde-ish lady and middle-aged darker haired lady) if it happened to be for sale. I was completely fine with a no being the answer, but the darker haired lady responded "If you want to give me $1,000 you can have it." Again, I was totally fine with a no, and assumed it probably was not for sale, I just LOVE Mickey Mouse so I wanted to be sure because it isn't every day you see something so cool. I laughed a bit at the response and headed out at that point. The same clock is available on Ebay for $250, but I would have preferred Salvation Army get paid than some random person on Ebay. After leaving, a friend informed me that a majority of the items I had noticed when I walked in that were so nicely staged, are apparently also not for sale. And that staff being turned off by people asking about prices on those items often result in the same attitude back that I experienced. Again, totally fine if you don't want to sell people things, but signs would be nice or a kind response when people ask. I am a pretty firm believer in signage goes a long way, so if staff is going to be put off by people asking if something is or isn't for sale, I would recommend adding some "not for sale" signs around the store. No reason to be snarky with people asking if things are available or not. There are probably better options of places to shop and have a better experience with staff and a more straightforward shopping experience-and where you can still support great causes!

I am not a fan of spending a lot on money on clothes, so I shop with the 50% off discounts in mind and find bargains for my whole family. The staff is usually very friendly and helpful. I have found some gems in the home areas as well, but that is typically not what I'm looking for. I miss the dressing rooms, though, and would buy more if they came back. If I had any complaint, it would be that the music is entirely too loud in the shopping area. In my opinion, it should be background music and not excessively noisy. I prefer it more quiet, which allows for better thinking and a much more enjoyable shopping experience. If the staff needs the music loud in order to hear it, they could invest in a small radio near their station. Im very thankful Salvation Army Thrift Store serves our community.

Goodwill top executives lining their pockets and/or pocketbooks by warm hearted people who takes time to get their good conditioned donations there. The new East Main Street store that has only been open for a month now started out to be a great…read moreplace to go looking for something they don't much there like the Fair Ave store does but the last time I gone in there it was a shit show manager was no longer in charge they said she was made to step down and the two that were in charge was a a vice president and regenal manager who never came out of their office the girls said they stay in there and watch the cameras and do nothing else the store got flooded 2 times in one day and the place was never cleaned or taken care of the right way even with serpo was there cleaning everything around them after a week I seen black mold growing on the walls and could smell it in the goods they are selling when I asked why I was told the ceo and vice president told the girls to clean the store and if it smells spray air freshener on everything I even seen bedbugs on something at that point I left and will never return to this store because it showed me they don't care about their employees or the people that shope there why would I bring home black mold or bedbugs to my home

Every item I purchased from there I have received multiple compliments from and are sure to become family heirlooms. I stopped in again today just wanting to see what it was like when not in full Christmas mode. Same friendly, helpful staff. Still super cute with lots of tempting decor items. Wide range of price points... something for everyone. They have a few pieces of repurposed furniture that has been redone in a shabby chic fashion using chalk paint. They also sell the full line of chalk paint... which I will be back to purchase once I figure out what direction I was to take my repurposing items in. Today half the store was closed as it will become their dedicated Christmas section. Come back Nov 7th and be the first to browse the new merchandise! You will find me adding to our Christmas collection. They are one of the best Christmas merchandisers in Central Ohio, in my opinion. Worth the trip in!!! Buy local!
