We didn't realize they were closing at 8:00. We were sat, usual procedure. We ordered an appetizer and our food. Enjoyed the fried mushrooms. Our dinner came, it was great. They turned up the lights and the barrage began. It seemed attentive at first, then got really annoying. We're closing the salad bar, do you want anything from it? Can I get you anything else? Can I get you to-go drinks? Are you ready for your ticket? Here's your ticket. Is there anything else? Can I take any of your plates? At that point I'm done. Take all the plates. I'm not enjoying this anymore. As my husband was calmly explaining that if you let us in the door, we should be allowed to eat; I'm fuming and paying the bill and stomping out, because I can't be contained when I'm upset. I just shouldn't talk. When we first walked in the door, if they'd told us that they're closing soon, fine! We will just go somewhere else! No problem. We've both worked in restaurants and hated when guests walk in at closing! The food is good. I'm sick at my stomach about how we were treated. Hubby said we would be back. He might be back alone.

I feel like we've given it a fair chance, but at this point I strongly recommend against eating there; the food and service have gotten pretty bad. Just a few days ago, we were there, and although the restaurant was not crowded (maybe 10-15 people total, in the two large main dining areas?), it was going on an hour and a half without our having received our food. We asked for a few additional rolls, just to tide us over, but the server forgot about it, and -- ridiculously -- they were only provided as we had finished eating and were ready to depart. A number of the restaurant's employees were just hanging out together at the checkout counter, conversing; laughing, and having a great time (which is apparently more important to them than serving their clientele). I approached them and asked them why our food had not been provided, and the only response I got -- from some strange-looking small fellow with a long ponytail -- was something to the effect of, "Oh, yeah!? Well, you have no idea how busy we are!"

We all ordered water to start with and she carried at least one of the waters under her arm with her arm holding it under her armpit next to her body. The chips were so stale that they bent. The salsa ( if that's what they want to call it) was basically slightly thickened tomato juice. Eventually everyone had gotten their food after waiting about 5 minutes in between each person. For starters nobody had hot food and it was all very lukewarm to almost cold. The pico de gallo lettuce mix that everyone gets on their plate was old and had a raunchy taste to it so nobody ate theirs. My dinner was supposed to be deep fried and wasn't. It had ground beef in it but also contained chunks of grisly and fatty type textures. The only thing everyone agreed on is that the beans had a very slight flavor. We all ordered different things and we decided that water has more flavor than any of the "food". We choked down a few bites and took the majority in to go boxes for a friend to give to his garbage eater outside animals! To top it off we all had queasy stomachs through the next day. It was either the food or the gross out factor of everything! I'm guessing that their steep prices are due to lack of business so they need to make up for it. I saw other reviews on here going back a few years even with similar issues so one would think that the owners would change for the better. Drive over to Casey's and get a pizza instead!
