This is the coolest place if you love finding treasures to upcycle. We've been here on numerous occasions and have found items for the yard, housewares, wall art, etc. You can bargain on the prices and get great service from the staff. My advice, plan to spend at least an hour because the place is HUGE! They collect furnishings and housewares, electronics, holiday, craft stuff, etc from estate homes. Happy hunting...!

Rows and rows of amazing glassware and trinkets

This place is amazing! You can easily get lost in here for a while. Anything you think they will have they probably do. All the furniture is gorgeous and even when it's not it's something you just want to take home and give some TLC and refinish it. all of the people I ran into working there were very nice and helpful if they knew where something was. If you need anything Christmas this is definitely the place to get it or older vintage glassware. I will come by as often as I can on my trips North and back south.

Great place to wander around looking for that treasure. People that work there are great and willing to help anyway they can.

Though we're experiencing problems with the furniture, I don't hold Hardee responsible. We waited 6 weeks for the furniture. The problem I had was with our salesman. He was retired, but reminded me of a retired used car salesman. The only thing missing was a plaid suit and a cigar. He said they wouldn't charge for assembly of the furniture when it arrived thus saving us money. When the chairs arrived, they were already assembled. They didn't want to assemble the table so it would fit in my truck bed. Our salesman told us when we made the purchase that an assembled table would fit, along with the chairs. Wrong. He covertly gave us a website with prices making it seem like we were getting a deal. We weren't. I asked to speak to the manager to try and negotiate a better price. I was told he left for the day. Wrong, he was sitting in the showroom watching a ball game on TV. If the salesman had been upfront and honest from the beginning, I would have not felt like I was taken advantage of. As for the furniture, which by the way is high quality and very pricey, screws were missing, chair arms falling off, holes not drilled, screws installed improperly with exposed threads. I am waiting for a new table top and 4 screws from the factory. Overall, not a pleasant experience.

But everyday use and small children and being used as a secondary bed can put wear on anything. Nothing will look new forever, especially after a years use. so when I see some one complain about how it looks. all I can say is when you buy it , don't use it , it will look good forever!!! I have had no problems with this company. And was treated with the upmost respect.

There's no lack of antique stores in the greater Wilson area of North Carolina, but Jean's Antiques…read morestands out as one of the best. Their collection of empire and early victorian furniture is simply without peer. And that's a tall compliment given some of the nearby competition. Prices are not the cheapest, but their selection often means that you're picking between a few strong pieces, and that's a bit of a rarity when you're looking for this sort of furniture. The people there are friendly and willing to negotiate, and I've been delighted with the four or five pieces I've picked up there over the past few years.

I emailed with Janine several times and she assured me that if I saw it and it wasn't as described in the online posting, she would refund my money. They held the item for a few weeks until I could drive down to pick it up. When I arrived to pick up the sofa, it was absolutely stunning. Exactly as described and as represented in the photographs. The shop owners and workers were so friendly and I felt like I was a family member instead of a customer. They even loaded it into my truck for me, which was a nice surprise. The store is HUGE so there is a monstrous selection. The quality of their items is fantastic, and their prices are fair. I've seen similar items in stores in NJ and NY for double or triple the price. It was a fantastic experience, and I would absolutely buy from them again, even without seeing the item in person!
