Rande came out to clean a 7 year old area rug that hadn't ever been deep cleaned before. Great communication. His price was reasonable, he was honest about some risks with rug rippling due to the material (and expectations/what to do if it occurred, which it did (minor and temporary). Very quick and efficient service. Also did a quick clean of a spot on another carpet for no extra charge. Would definitely use him again. read more

They did a fantastic job on my carpeted staircases! It's been years since I last had them cleaned and since then there's been stuff spilled on them and general dirty dark spots from constant use, and Rande was able to get it all looking fresh and new again. I am very impressed and will definitely hit him up again in the future. read more

Our washing machine leaked and we're our carpet and drywall. Randi came quickly and dried everything for us. He was great

I needed a rug cleaned (light colored and only a year old) that had visible areas discolored mostly due to traffic patterns and my cute dog. I reached out to Rande based on these reviews. He scheduled me within a week, took concern to understand the rug materials, was communicative about his arrival time on the day. He shared his concerns cleaning my rug - but it's turned out beautifully! I would call Rande again for other rugs/carpet in our home. read more

Wow. Just wow. Rande is amazing. He was available to come by at short notice. The rug looks like it's brand new and we had everything from milk to coffee stains to baby accidents on it. This is the second time I've used this company and have been very happy with the results and price. I somehow got ink all over my rugs. Most concerning was the black ink on my white rug. He got it out! So impressed. The rug looks great. Thank you! read more

The Rug Expert - My 15 years old carpet looking almost new! - Carpet Cleaning Near Me - Mountain View, California

I searched on Yelp for carpet cleaning. The Rug Expert had a pretty good rating. So I gave a try. Rande did a winderful job. Not only the area, but also the corner and sideline were cleaned. The quality was so good that I think I have to come to Yelp to give Rande a good rating as my thankfulness. As I didn't communicate well when I was ordering, Rande had extra closet and one stair cleaned for me for free. Thank you! read more

Randy is responsive and always does a fantastic job of cleaning our carpets and sofas. He even deep cleaned our brick kitchen floor last time and it looks like new. He follows all COVID-19 protocols and is careful about minimizing risk. Would highly recommend. read more

Was able to come within a couple of days to clean the rug which had been soiled by a sick child. So thankful for his service!

I was very pleased with The Rug Expert. I was able to get an appointment on the same day that I called for one (amazing) and the quality of the carpet cleaning was excellent. I'm not one who usually leaves reviews but this company did a great job. Thank you! read more

Rande came to clean our Article couch that has seen better days and he finished the job quickly. He removed a red wine stain and gave us some tips on how to clean it in the future. If it's a man made material, use hydrogen peroxide, y'all! We happily paid the $240 fee - which was cheaper than some of the other competitors - and we have an almost brand new couch! Highly recommend this company for your upholstery steam cleaning needs. read more

Prompt, efficient, thorough. Incredible work!!! Rande deep cleaned our dirty carpet. Amazing results! The last time it was cleaned was over six years ago. Apparently the soapsuds from previous cleaner hadn't been thoroughly cleared. Thus, oils were binding to the soap residue. Rande educated us on optimal carpet care and his attention to detail is Extraordinary. Highly recommended. Try to book at least 2 weeks in advance. It's worth the wait! read more

We have large rugs (10'x12') on hardwood floors and many carpet cleaners will not clean them on site. There's no way I can roll them up and bring them to drop off so here comes Rande. He knew what to do to steam clean my rugs in place without damaging the wood floor underneath. Very knowledgeable and honest guy. Sorry this review should have been done a couple years ago. Lol- better late than never. read more

Randy is the only one I call to clean my carpets. It's old and collects dirt so easily even if I take shoes off before coming inside. His expertise is able to make these awful dark spots look as if they had never been there. I am very impressed. I love how it looks after he's been here. Yes, highly appreciate and recommend him. read more

Why a 5 star review for a business I didn't hire? Unfortunately because I live in a tower on a high floor, it would have been too difficult (and too expensive) to get the equipment into my apartment. However, the man I spoke with was kind enough to give me very specific advice on how to treat the rug myself. He really didn't have to do that. This company clearly goes above and beyond to help people, even if they're not making money from it. If I ever live on a lower floor, I will absolutely hire them for all of my rug cleaning needs. Their customer service is amazing! read more

Randy was on-time, efficient and covid-safe. My rugs look great after his work and I'll certainly use him the next time they are dirty.

Randy did a fantastic job ~ Our rug and furniture looks brand new. I'll certainly call him again!

We literally trialed 5-6 different carpet cleaners before finally hitting the jack-pot with Rande, THE Rug Expert + Customer Service Extraordinaire! When we moved from our previous home into our current home, I called Rande last minute and he delivered. Since then, we've used him for maintenance and upkeep as I foolishly keep selecting light-colored carpets for our stairs and bedrooms. In addition to our 2-yr old son and 2 active pups, we get TONS of foot traffic (e.g., OOT guests and local visitors) so it doesn't take long for our carpets to look dirty and mangy. No worries though because Rande makes our carpets look brand-new every time he visits. My days of searching for a carpet cleaner have come to an end. I will look no further! The Rug Expert is our guy! ...Oh and I should probably mention that my loving yet difficult-to-please mom is always super impressed with Rande's fabulous carpet-cleaning skills. read more

Wanted to get some upholstered furniture and a couple area rugs cleaned after we moved. Called Rande and he was able to come out the following week. Showed up on time and even called ahead to let me know he was on the way; and man did he do a GREAT job! We had one rug that was grey and white when we bought it, but after a few years of being in the same house as a large dog, mostly looked all grey. Rande made it look good as new! He was fast, efficient, and very reasonably priced! He also made sure to make us aware of the "safety hazards" of cleaning our area rugs that were over tile floor- the slippage we might experience when walking on them while still wet and then walking on the tile. He even left us booties to help mitigate that issue! Can't recommend enough and will definitely use him in the future! read more

I called Rande on Friday 11AM and got an appointment at Friday Noon. Rande came on time and setup his industrial equipment and went to work on on steam cleaning my apartment. 45 minutes later my carpet was left fresh and clean. I very pleased with his service and highly recommend him. He is truly a rug expert. Will be sending referrals his way. read more

Good service, easy to communicate, reasonably priced. Would suggest! Carpet came out brand new, no residue and smelling great.

I had a great experience with Rande. I called and was able to set up an appt right away; he gave me a one-hour window in which he'd arrive, and said that he'd call in advance, both of which he did. We have ivory carpeting, and I wanted to get some specific discoloration out; Rande said that may or may not be possible given the level of staining. (Another carpet cleaner, who I got an estimate from before Rande, said the same thing.) In the end, the discoloration didn't totally come out, but I'm not sure if that was even possible. Also, our carpets were taking a REALLY long time to dry (more than a day) so I called Rande and he brought over a giant fan to help dry them, and let us borrow the fan overnight. Rande's very professional and friendly; I'm giving five stars for his great rates, on-time arrival, efficiency, and excellent customer service! read more

It's not easy to find a reputable carpet cleaner. Rande is an expert. He knows his craft and has very reasonable prices. High recommended.

Rande is professional and courteous. He is clearly knowledgable about all the various types of carpeting & upholstery. Our dirty, matted, worn down 10 year old carpet is now fluffy and clean, appearing as if it is new once again & even better yet, there is no chemically smell post the cleaning. Excellent work done for a very reasonable price! read more

I am in the process of moving into a brand new apartment home, I needed to get my rugs cleaned for my move. I first started with calling local cleaners to get their rates for rug cleaning, I found that they either did not clean rugs, are they were extremely expensive, some charging more than what I paid for my rugs. I finally decided to search on the internet to call a couple of local carpet cleaning companies. I reached out The Rug Expert and spoke with Rande Machell. Rande answered all of my questions, provided quotes for me, then scheduled a time to come out to lean my rugs. I am completely satisfied with the work that was performed, I have a Chinese rug that my mother gave to me, it had been in her garage for storage because she had purchased new rugs to match her new living room furniture. This rug, although gorgeous, had a lot of stains on it due to its light, cream color. With amazement, Rande was able to make this rug, and all four of my rugs that he cleaned, spotless and looking like brand new, all done with an affordable, and reasonable cost. I am a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend The Rug Expert!! Signed, Satisfied Customer who will use this service again!! read more

I could not be more pleased with The Rug Expert. Rande came in person and helped clean a filthy pee-stained carpet, leaving it like new. While he was here, I asked him to clean an oriental carpet that was similarly pee-stained and filthy. He left that carpet like new as well. Rande was honest, efficient, and offered a lower price than most of the competition. I will always be using the Rug Expert in the future! read more

Rande was just as amazing as all the other reviews said he was. He did my daughters apartment carpets today and made the otherwise dirty dull carpet truly come back to a bright, fresh, clean life. A++++++ for his expertise and customer service. I am a super picky person and for me to say that I will be keeping his card and calling him for future carpet cleaning needs, says it all. He did an AWESOME job. read more

Rande is a really standup guy!! We had a bunch of stubborn milk stains from our toddler twins. Turns out they were so stubborn that they didn't come out so Rande gave us a refund. If we had more reasonable cleaning needs I would definitely call Rande again! read more

Rande was incredibly professional and efficient. Showed up on time and got straight to work. Areas of the carpet that once smelled like dog pee are now smell-free and good as new. The high-traffic areas are no longer grey and spotty. Reasonably priced and excellent work! read more

I need to get an area rug cleaned, and called to find out about prices. After listening to what I needed done, he advised me to take it to a different rug cleaning shop; that shop would do better for me because of his minimum charge. I called the other shop and talked through the job with them, and he's right--that will work better for me. I greatly appreciate his service and professionalism, to the extent of referring the work to a different business in order to get a better result for the customer. I'll be calling The Rug Expert when I have a bigger cleaning job to do--clearly this is someone with whom I want to do business! read more

Randy is honest and kept his promise. I still can't get rid of the old pet urine stain on wool rugs. But other two rugs look like new again. Randy also gave me some tips how to clean pets urine when it is still new. Overall great experience. read more

I have been through a number of carpet cleaners over many years and have always thought of carpet cleaning as a big, fat pain. Smelly residue, chemicals that make the carpet "crispy," and carpets that take days to dry. The Rug Expert came to me on referral, I called, received an immediate estimate over the phone, booked it for two days later and was done! The floors looked brand new. Also, I run my business from home and don't like to have vendors there when I am gone. Rande is a certified professional, very experienced and diligent. I would not think twice about leaving a key and check for him. I will use The Rug Expert again and refer him to others. read more
