Even after coming here for years, I still need Google maps because I take the wrong turns sometimes. For appointments, it's helpful to be flexible. Usually they don't take same day grooming due to being booked. Appointments typically are weeks out, especially in the warmer months.

I explained that my dog has anxiety, which can sometimes lead to behavioral issues, although I had given him medication beforehand to help him stay calm. She was very understanding and simply asked how I wanted his haircut. I told her I wasn't picky, as long as he was clean, comfortable, and the cut was short, I'd be happy. I know my dog can be difficult, so I appreciated that she reassured me she'd do her best. She estimated it would take about 1-2 hours depending on how my dog did, and about an hour and a half later, she called to let me know he was ready for pickup. I was pleasantly surprised since our previous groomer usually took around three hours. When I came back, Biqi apologized that she wasn't able to give him more of a teddy bear haircut because he wasn't cooperating. Honestly, I thought he looked great! I was just grateful they were willing to work with him. She took the time to explain how he behaved during the appointment and mentioned that her husband, Leo, handles the bathing while she does the haircuts. The full groom was $75, which I thought was very reasonable, especially considering the patience and care they showed my anxious dog. Before leaving, I asked if they would be willing to groom him again because I always worry his behavior might be too much. Biqi immediately reassured me that he did well and that he was more than welcome to come back. Finding a groomer who's patient with an anxious dog isn't easy, so I'm incredibly happy we found Mai Pet Grooming.
