I went online and booked my appointment- it was so easy to do, and immediately I received a confirmation text. When I first pulled up, I was a little sus. The drive up appeal is a little bit sketch. Once I walked in, I was immediately greeted by Lisa and Amy. They were so sweet and professional. I had made an appointment for a 60 minute full body massage and a 30 minute foot massage for the following week. Amy, asked if I'd like to have them both done today and of course- I couldn't resist!! The location is clean and calming, which made it so easy to get naked and relax- Amy, is amazing! She was very good and asked about the intensity which is very important. After my massage was over I loved it so much, I bought my best friend a gift card and ran home to book my next appointment!

We were greeted and immediately ushered to our fabulous, huge room that was so cozy and inviting. Our therapist, Ashley was so sweet and thorough. She explained everything we would experience and ask if we were comfortable with everything we would receive. Down to the smells, oils they used, and scrubs. The beds were warm and had music piping inside them. It was heavenly! Thunder storms playing and this light sound coming through the beds. Massage tables in general are uncomfortable! These were full beds that were super comfortable. Started with a hot oil and head massage-it was super relaxing. Then, scalp massage was incredibly satisfying. Next, was a facial massage and clay mask. Face massage opened up all of my sinuses, also unplugged my ears. It was euphoric. After the mask was applied, face was wrapped in a hot, eucalyptus and spearmint towels. Mouth and nose were fully exposed. Then started the neck and upper back massage which we had a full body scrub on back, legs and feet. Our legs and feet were wrapped in hot towels. Ashley worked hard on the arches of the feet. Hot stones were applied all over the body. Very relaxing. After massages were over, we were provided slippers, a soft robe and escorted into a quaint, living area, where we were brought a hot fudge, brownie, chocolate covered strawberries, and cucumber, and lemon water. The house was beautiful, secluded, calm; the living area had a permanent Christmas tree! I love Christmas with all my heart so this really got my endorphins going! We will be back on our next visit to Hochatown!

That said, she is also a very warm and charming lady who knows quite a lot about body structure and mechanics. I first met Renee several years ago at her Massage for Health studio in Cooper, Tx. I wanted someone to work with my brother who lives in a skilled nursing facility nearby; she has been seeing him there regularly for several years now. Over this time I have come to appreciate the value to someone who is older or infirm to be touched in a therapeutic way. It's not easy to know where, what kind and how much massage a body in pain needs to feel better and, even more important, cared for. A lot of this depends on the skill and strength of the therapist's hands. But the rest is a matter of communicating warmth and caring, call it spiritual support if you will. Renee has all of these talents; I feel very fortunate to have found her to help care for my brother.
